31/12/2025: I remembered it being an excellent ice cream shop, but instead it was a total disappointment. After a couple of years, I'm coming back here with a craving for good ice cream... a total disappointment. Aside from the €3 for a microscopic cone and the possible €0.40 surcharge for double cream... the cone's wafer is so hard I had to throw it away because it was inedible, the cream was "in pieces" inside the cone, and the banana flavor was decidedly watery. Their "officiella" (cream) that should have been Nutella was full of crunchy pieces. In short, gentlemen, you've really taken a nosedive with ice cream, both in terms of price and, above all, quality. The good thing about those who prefer the cone to the cup is that they actually get to eat the cone in the end, and I had to throw it away because it was so hard! Never again.

16/01/2026: An enviable location. A bar, but not only, located in the Ostiense neighborhood, with a refined setting and a lounge atmosphere. The interior is spacious, with outdoor seating available. The sofas are comfortable, and the service is friendly and fast. The buffet-style food for an aperitif is not bad: the vegetables and pizza are good, but the pasta is a bit less so. Recommended for a different type of aperitif, especially for groups.

06/12/2025: For about ten years, these guys have been doing an excellent job in terms of the quality of their ingredients and their hospitality. Franz Burger isn't your typical grab-and-go burger joint; in a way, it's a full-fledged restaurant. It has about seven tables indoors, and in the summer, you can also dine outside. If you go with at least two or three people, the experience gives you the chance to try more options, such as the oven-baked croquettes with bacon and provolone, accompanied by their fabulous accompanying sauce of nduja and honey, or the naggets stuffed with porchetta and the croquette stuffed with pulled pork. I tried the former, the croquette with bacon and provolone and the honey and nduja sauce. It was a real treat. The coarse breading was excellent, and didn't overpower the flavors of the other ingredients. That sweet, yet slightly spicy, sauce enriched it quite a bit. Let's get to the sandwiches. Here you can choose from three types of meat: beef, horse meat, and chicken. You can also choose between bread, a whole grain version, or the classic version I chose. I chose their double smashed burger with cheddar bacon and their Franz sauce. The sandwich is simply perfect, where the meat is the real star. You can taste the quality of the meat, but also the skill of the chef. The meat was nicely browned at the edges and juicy at the same time. What I appreciated was the light use of sauces. Let's be clear, if the meat is quality, it should be enhanced and not overpowered by unnecessary sauces. The bread was also good; it didn't fall apart, and the size of the bread and meat was just right. The bacon was good, slightly crispier, but that's just a small thing. For what I mentioned, plus water and service, I paid €23. They also have desserts, but I didn't order them. Maybe next time. I forgot something important except for the smashed burgers, for the other burgers they ask you to cook the meat which is not a given

06/01/2026: My celiac son loves it; it's not very close to us, so we order takeout. Excellent service, excellent quality, and safe because the entire menu is gluten-free. Highly recommended!

12/12/2025: I've known it for years and always love going back. The sandwiches and fried foods are delicious! Everything is gluten-free, with lactose-free options. I'm disappointed they've switched from a restaurant to a fast food restaurant; in my opinion, this choice doesn't do justice to the quality of the place.
