21/03/2025: Los cafés son geniales, los pasteles hechos en casa (sfogliatelle increíble) , la pizza es deliciosa. El personal del bar también es propietario. Son amables, amables, pacientes y extremadamente buenos en su trabajo. Barbara habla un excelente inglés. Buena mezcla de lugareños y visitantes. Amplios asientos al aire libre, así como en el interior. Gran hospitalidad!

21/05/2025: I often stop by on Sunday afternoons to get the rice pudding they are so famous for. The place is nice and the staff is not very fast but always kind. Unfortunately I can't say the same thing about the people at the cash register: never a good morning, a smile or a thank you, right from those who are there to take the money. Too bad, it's a really unpleasant thing.

Dear tourists... don't go there! In Lucca there are tons of better places than this!

08/05/2025: Gorgeous little restaurant tucked away in a little corner. Excellent service. I wanted to dine here for the dish Coniglio alla cacciatora (rabbit in tomato sauce and capers) and I wasn’t disappointed it was delicious.Glad we decided to dine here.

04/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato divinamente! Non ci siamo concentrati sui primi, che, però, sono sicura che meritano: abbiamo provato la tartare come antipasto (tra l'altro servita con maionese fatta in casa) ed era davvero incredibile! Poi abbiamo preso una fiorentina, servita con un contorno a scelta tra quelli proposti e, devo dire, ottima! Materie prime bene selezionate e sanno lavorarle a modo!
Nota di merita per la buonissima focaccia che servono insieme al pane, suppongo fatta in casa!

Photonic food, the truly special beef tartare is to be recommended.
Very welcoming and helpful owner. Excellent range of wines to accompany the meal.
We were also lucky enough to meet some wonderful people who made it a special evening.
Thank you so much. I hope to return on other occasions.

12/03/2025: The best craft beers in bottles and on tap in Lucca, a small place with few seats but in a top place, Lucca's nightlife is here in the evening!
08/02/2025: Point of reference for a beer! Small place but with a wide selection of Italian craft beers. It only serves beer and a few chips, the taps are constantly rotating. The owners are passionate and connoisseurs of beer, the staff is also smart and friendly. Well I got thirsty 🍻.

09/05/2025: I recently had a wine tasting at Enoteca Vanni and I strongly recommend the place for all wine lovers. The service and kindness of people is outstanding, as well as the wine selection and the availability of best vintages of f the best wines from Italy, France and Spain with particular attention to Supertuscan and Brunello di Montalcino selections. Definitely a must visit place in Lucca if you love wine.

25/04/2025: Posto panoramico nei pressi dell' eremo. Si può raggiungere a piedi o in macchina. Porzioni abbondanti e gustose, servizio alla buona come deve essere in una trattoria che sembra a condizione familiare. Abbiamo preso piatti a base di trota perché per noi è una cucina non usuale.
10/03/2025: Io e mio marito abbiamo scoperto questo posto per caso, eravamo di ritorno dalla Grotta del vento. Un locale conduzione familiare delizioso e immerso in un'oasi di pace, proprietario e personale gentilissimo e molto cordiale. Abbiamo mangiato prodotti a km zero, squisiti e abbondanti. Un antipasto con salumi e prodotti locali e due primi al ragù di trota, veramente delizioso. Prezzo onestissimo, ormai molto raro.
Sicuramente ritorneremo.

04/05/2025: Three stars because the mixed fried food was quite good, otherwise two stars. Ordered €35 menu with 4 starters of which only 1 was passable, tasted paccheri with scampi too raw and barely warm for me, tasted spaghetti with clams with almost all the clams without shellfish but hot and always, for me, hard. Good mixed fried food with vegetables. Normal tiramisu. House wine not very good for me. Service too fast... paccheri and spaghetti arrived at the same time. I wouldn't go back.

Cost of starter excessive compared to quantity and quality.
Very greasy mixed fried food.
Tagliolini alla pescatore didn't have much flavor.
Excessive presence of garlic and oil in all the dishes offered, guaranteed night-time fatigue.

09/05/2025: No seating available. Little standing room. We had coffee and cornetto to take away. And looking back, it was the best Cornetto we have had in Italy so far. The pastry and filling were just perfect and fresh. Would love to come back
