26/05/2025: Last Saturday evening I wanted to try the renowned Ristorante da Giorgio, which I have never tried before despite having lived in Viareggio for a few years. That evening, despite having booked, I was not feeling well and did not have much of an appetite. My partner and I decided not to order wine to drink (which we practically always do because we are both teetotalers). Both at the table, the waitress and at the cash register, the owner, made us feel bad about the fact that we had not ordered anything to drink other than simple still water (0.65 cl) for a whopping €8, as can be seen from the receipt. Despite the dinner being very light, with just one appetizer, two first courses, a dessert and a piece of fruit, we spent a whopping €50.50 each (yes, because discounting that euro on the receipt and making the calculation even would have turned the evening's takings into the red, who knows). Cover charge €10 for dry bread from at least the day before and a narrow table where if I moved slightly with my chair I would hit the chair at the table behind me.. In short, I don't want to honestly say that the fish wasn't fresh and/or of good quality at all but the prices are absolutely disproportionate and not justified. The icing on the cake is that an acquaintance who went to dinner this evening at the same restaurant for an appetizer, first course, second course, dessert and even a passito paid €50... so the question is this: does the owner set prices based on the mood, the day or the friendliness of the diner? If it was a way to make us understand not to return, we will certainly accept the invitation!

03/05/2025: Found it advertised on social media, an unexpected discovery given that it is difficult to find excellent restaurants in everything. They have proven themselves masters in making innovative and above all unique dishes; the skill was demonstrated in making combinations of flavors that were unusual but very pleasant on the palate. The only note is to point out in the menu description all the ingredients present: in the guinea fowl rolls dish, a wafer, I presume chickpeas, was added and raisins in the rice pudding. Personal premise, I liked these added ingredients, I recommend it only for people with allergies. I will definitely be back to try other dishes! Conclusion.... congratulations to both the kitchen and dining room staff. Location with attention to detail and equally particular.

11/04/2025: I start from the service: precise, punctual and above all kind. There is absolutely nothing to complain about the quality of the products, everything is excellent and fresh. Even the next day the pastries maintained the same goodness. Prices appropriate to what they offer. Highly recommended!

11/05/2025: I went for lunch today and the food was really good, well cooked and carefully presented. The waitresses were very good and very kind, always smiling and helpful. The only negative point was the slightly long wait for the service, but understandable given the large turnout of people. In any case, the experience was more than positive. I will gladly return!

I returned today Easter day April 2025 3 diners lunch with 2 warm seas 1 peppered mussels 1 mixed fried fish 1 grilled squid 1 liter of sparkling house wine 2 baskets of focaccia and bread 3 desserts 3 coffees 1 grappa cost 99 euros I confirm all the excellent food.

05/05/2025: Unfortunately disappointed despite high expectations; food good and well prepared but not at exceptional levels. Excellent wine list. Inaccurate service. In my personal experience, the year 2024, my wife's birthday, I booked the birthday cake and a bouquet of flowers on the restaurant's website and paid the advance; at the time of dinner there was no cake, no bouquet of flowers, nor did they see that I had paid 150 in advance. Unpleasant indeed, and birthday ruined. The very kind owner apologized by giving away a bottle of medium quality champagne but it certainly doesn't solve the problem. Average high price. To be reevaluated

28/04/2025: fantastische kreative küche auf hohem niveau ..tolle innovative gerichte aber auch tradionelle toskanische küche die weinkarte ist aussgewohnlich umfangreich und sehr gut selektiert eine absolute empfehlung zu sehr günstigen preisen

07/04/2025: We chose this restaurant by chance, attracted by the good reviews and we were very satisfied. We were welcomed by two lovely and professional girls, the environment is informal but refined and the food satisfied us well beyond expectations. Being in Tuscany we didn't miss out on a fabulous 1kg ribeye... delicious and cooked to perfection. The bill was adequate for what we ate. Highly recommended restaurant!

I think that in all these years that I frequent it there has never been a time that I was disappointed and didn't eat the chosen dish. All really very good! 5 out of 5 stars well deserved. PS. I am not a relative of the cook (I always specify..) and I'm not one to please him easily... just know that.
