That was once the case… unfortunately, it's no longer our favorite bar in town. Significantly more expensive with worse service.
11/05/2026: Today we had ice cream at this ice cream shop. The staff is very kind and the ice creams are truly excellent. We will be back.

An honorable mention for the selection of cheeses, which the owner, a highly skilled cheese taster, presents, explaining their characteristics and offering a sensory journey.

17/02/2026: I spotted their Instagram on our visit and we made the detour to make it a destination. We came to Viareggio for the carnevale, so we had to come and try out one of their amazing decorated cappuccinos. I was not disappointed, put joy in a cup.

26/04/2026: Rather than having a star rating, it should be protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The food was excellent, the restaurant was very elegant and well-kept, the service staff were extremely efficient, and the price/portion ratio was excellent, which is not to be underestimated these days.
Always recommend generous portions, I'll keep an eye on you ;-)

07/05/2026: We had lunch after visiting the Calomini Hermitage. Dishes were prepared with farm produce. The food was generous enough to satisfy at least two people. Everything was delicious at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

But we got domeyhing deliciod to eat, amd a warm welcome. It was a joy.
06/05/2026: A lovely restaurant (and more) in Foppiano. Perfect service, with friendly staff. Excellent food, including the pizza, which we enjoyed for dinner.

30/06/2025: I believe that in Montecastrilli, where I've been frequenting for over 50 years from nearby Farnetta, there has never been a pastry shop this good, especially the cream-filled pastries, profiteroles, babas, and meringues. Perhaps the tarts could be improved a bit. Overall, however, everything is very good. The staff is very kind and friendly, definitely worth a visit. Prices are excellent, but have risen a bit recently. If I may offer a piece of advice, keep your prices low and you'll have a large and enthusiastic clientele. Well done, and thank you.

After almost two hours of waiting, we were served obscene food!!
The tordelli ragù was obscene, not to mention the paccheri with baby octopus!!
The quality was terrible, the bill was high!!
And on top of all this, the owner shamelessly discounted our bill by 9 euros!!!

08/06/2026: Excellent. We had dinner here one evening when we were just getting our bearings in Viareggio. Happened to go here with no recommendations and so happy with did. From start to finish we had a great time. Staff were chatty and very attentive, food was full of flavour and perfectly timed. Atmosphere was wonderful. The owner/chef Luca is an incredibly nice gent. When he found out we are irish he was very welcoming to us and couldnt have been more pleasant as were all the staff we dealt with. Will happily return when back in Viareggio.
02/06/2026: Terrible food. We had sea bass with grilled vegetables, and the eggplant was mushy, practically rotten. The carrots were boiled and grilled. The pasta with clams was precooked, truly terrible.
