17/10/2025: Perfect express fish soup! Don't complain about the 40-minute wait... or make a reservation! Thanks to the staff who start working at 7:00 AM to prepare the homemade bread you can enjoy at dinner ❤️

10/10/2025: What can I say? The chef, with whom we personally reserved a table yesterday, has learned his craft. The "fish soup" is top-notch. The tomato sauce "soup" has a truly perfect balance between the acidity of the tomatoes and the sugar, which brings them to life. Simply brilliant. Mama Sita, in a nutshell. It couldn't be better. It was just as delicious from bite to bite as you couldn't achieve it yourself. The recommended wine complemented the taste experience positively. We had the soup for one person and shared it because we wanted a second dish. We had the homemade ravioli. That was the crowning glory. The homemade sauce, too, was a gourmet's dream. A Michelin-starred restaurant could add this chef to its menu once a month. Provided the best fresh produce is used. He buys fresh produce every morning, as he told me. So make a reservation and enjoy—it's worth every cent. And to top it all off, there was a lemon sorbet. For the lady at the table, it's normal, and for me, it's vodka and a cafe doppio. Unfortunately, it's not in the picture.

09/03/2026: One of the best pubs in the area for a pleasant evening: the beer and food never disappoint. To celebrate the first anniversary of the new management, we were kindly offered dessert: served by Sara, who is knowledgeable, cheerful, kind, and very friendly.

16/01/2026: Relaxed, cheerful, and lively pub We came here with friends, and were immediately captivated by the Mona Lisa painting next door, the upbeat music, and the homemade sandwiches. Recommended!

09/02/2026: The quality of the menu is inconsistent. The sea bass, for example, was very good, perfectly cooked, while the cutlet was very dark; the oil clearly hadn't been changed in a while. I think the side dishes were expensive, especially considering the small portions. Along with the sea bass (which was only half a piece), the order included a portion of mixed vegetables that cost €7, which probably included a medium-sized pepper and half an eggplant. For €7, in short... The service is quite fast.

10/03/2026: I stumbled upon this place on my way to Genoa. The pre-dinner bread (baked) and other pastries were delicious. It's a shame there's no ocean view. The seafood and seafood pasta are delicious with every bite.

05/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant in the historic center of Sarteano, and what can I say? It was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was homey, and the owner offered us delicious Cinta Senese ham as an appetizer. We ordered: a platter of cured meats and cheeses, pici all'aglione, ravioli with butter and sage, baked potatoes, biscotti and vin santo, red wine and coffee. Everything was delicious and carefully prepared. The portions were generous, and the prices were more than fair. We'll definitely be back!

30/06/2025: I believe that in Montecastrilli, where I've been frequenting for over 50 years from nearby Farnetta, there has never been a pastry shop this good, especially the cream-filled pastries, profiteroles, babas, and meringues. Perhaps the tarts could be improved a bit. Overall, however, everything is very good. The staff is very kind and friendly, definitely worth a visit. Prices are excellent, but have risen a bit recently. If I may offer a piece of advice, keep your prices low and you'll have a large and enthusiastic clientele. Well done, and thank you.

02/08/2025: Gran bella esperienza .. un locale semplice gestito da marito e moglie (gentilissimi) dove si possono apprezzare vini di alta qualità ma anche alcuni senza spendere una follia.. qua fanno taglieri misti con diversi tipi di formaggi .. ottima la mortadella di prato e la soppressata .. peccato che non accompagnano il tutto con un po’ di pinzimonio o delle verdure .. allora avrebbe meritato la 5 stella !!! Comunque eravamo in due abbiamo preso il tagliere grande (ci sono 3 dimensioni) 3 calici di vino e una mezza di naturale tot. 32,00 euro accettano carta … posti auto in zona ma bisogna girare un po’ per trovare posto.

02/08/2025: A truly wonderful experience... a simple place run by a very kind husband and wife team where you can enjoy high-quality wines and even some without spending a fortune. They do mixed platters with different types of cheeses. The mortadella di prato and soppressata are excellent. It's a shame they don't accompany everything with a little dip or vegetables... then it would have deserved 5 stars!!! Anyway, there were two of us, so we ordered the large platter (there are 3 sizes), 3 glasses of wine and a half glass of still wine. Total: €32.00, they accept credit cards... parking spaces in the area, but you have to walk around a bit to find a spot.

14/09/2025: Recently visited this charming little bar located conveniently near the University of Messina. As expected for the area, you'll find plenty of students frequenting this spot, creating a lively academic atmosphere. Space & Seating: The bar is quite compact with limited seating, so if you're planning to visit with a larger group, I'd recommend arriving early or being prepared to wait. During daytime hours, the outdoor seating can get quite sunny, making indoor spots more comfortable. Service & Staff: The service was pleasant, with friendly male and female bartenders who were professional and accommodating throughout my visit. I ordered the Crema di Caffè with Panna, which offered good value for money in terms of both quality and portion size. While it was enjoyable and reasonably priced, I wouldn't say it's the absolute best Crema di Caffè you'll find in Messina – but certainly worth trying. Overall: A decent neighborhood spot that's definitely worth a try if you're walking through this area of Messina. While it has some limitations in terms of space and the sweetness level of certain items, the friendly service and reasonable prices make it a solid choice for a quick coffee break, especially if you're in the university district. Recommended for: Students, coffee lovers, quick stops, solo visits
