26/05/2025: Last Saturday evening I wanted to try the renowned Ristorante da Giorgio, which I have never tried before despite having lived in Viareggio for a few years. That evening, despite having booked, I was not feeling well and did not have much of an appetite. My partner and I decided not to order wine to drink (which we practically always do because we are both teetotalers). Both at the table, the waitress and at the cash register, the owner, made us feel bad about the fact that we had not ordered anything to drink other than simple still water (0.65 cl) for a whopping €8, as can be seen from the receipt. Despite the dinner being very light, with just one appetizer, two first courses, a dessert and a piece of fruit, we spent a whopping €50.50 each (yes, because discounting that euro on the receipt and making the calculation even would have turned the evening's takings into the red, who knows). Cover charge €10 for dry bread from at least the day before and a narrow table where if I moved slightly with my chair I would hit the chair at the table behind me.. In short, I don't want to honestly say that the fish wasn't fresh and/or of good quality at all but the prices are absolutely disproportionate and not justified. The icing on the cake is that an acquaintance who went to dinner this evening at the same restaurant for an appetizer, first course, second course, dessert and even a passito paid €50... so the question is this: does the owner set prices based on the mood, the day or the friendliness of the diner? If it was a way to make us understand not to return, we will certainly accept the invitation!

03/05/2025: Il bar è sicuramente bello, curato e moderno, ma se devo trovare un difetto non posso non notare che il livello del servizio nel corso degli ultimi mesi è cambiato e non in miglioramento. Capisco la presenza di ragazzi giovani che sono la linfa essenziale per mandare avanti un'attività, ma se fossero un po' più cordiali e mostrassero un po' più di attenzione verso la clientela non sarebbe male. I dipendenti storici invece top assoluto. Brillanti, gentili ed efficienti. Buona la qualità dei prodotti e la presenza di un banco spedizioni ben funzionante.

04/06/2025: Lamentablemente, los tonos dulces, los modales gentiles y las zapatillas blancas hipster -en algún momento tan de moda- no equivalen en absoluto a un buen servicio. Es lamentable para el personal joven que no esté capacitado en absoluto en lo que es el centro de sus funciones.

29/05/2025: Para la cena de mil dólares, fue simplemente mediocre. Todo sobre el ambiente, pero el personal no fue particularmente atento, y he recibido mejor atención en un restaurante americano. Come ahí para decir que comiste allí. La comida no estaba mal, y las manchas de oro en mi postre eran interesantes. El personal era apropiado y agradable, pero sin duda no fue más allá.

17/03/2025: The place itself is nice, the staff very friendly and a very interesting choice of beer (in bottles). Honest prices and very friendly towards both me and my dog. If I'm back in those parts, I'll definitely come back. Second time: 17/03/25 I went back there after about 10 months, the review hasn't changed, the staff is always very friendly and the chef was really careful to satisfy my requests regarding cooking something for my alpha four-legged friend! Only criticism (if you can define it that way) increase the choice of tequila🤣🤪😂🤟 I took an OP BURGER which was very good, for my personal preference, I prefer the meat a little pink in the middle, in all cases I was really satisfied! Absolutely a place to come and have fun or just to eat and drink! 😜 if I really concentrate, one negative thing is the too many stools in front of the bar. Too many and too attached, it sounds like total confusion. But I repeat...I had to look for something that didn't suit me, for the rest...I'm sure I'll be back as soon as possible

09/05/2025: My job is flavorist, so I'm well trained in evaluating flavors. After a week of vacation in several places in the Tuscany and eating gelato every day, I can say, this is the best of the whole trip. It has natural and right flavors and textures. Ottimo gelato!

07/06/2025: A pastry shop recommended by a friend. Unfortunately not located in a central position but on a street where a few cars pass. Despite everything, however, the staff is prompt, attentive and kind and available to the needs of the customer. The food is quite good.

09/05/2025: No seating available. Little standing room. We had coffee and cornetto to take away. And looking back, it was the best Cornetto we have had in Italy so far. The pastry and filling were just perfect and fresh. Would love to come back

26/05/2025: They get the bill wrong by adding drinks not consumed, little choice, staff lacking empathy......, well-kept environment but no sea view since all around there are walls and cabins.. I will definitely not go back.. bill for two first courses, a second course, a dessert, water and wine, water 70 euros
