Ristorante La Rana da Filetto In Stia

We had a great lunch at Canto alla Rana in Stia and really enjoyed their original Casentino Valley cuisine, based on local forest ingredients. The handmade pasta was excellent, especially the Topini al ragù di capriolo — absolutely phenomenal and full of flavor. We also tried the wild game stews (wild boar and deer), which were rich, tender, and perfectly cooked. The panna cotta for dessert was a great finishing touch. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food, and the service was friendly and welcoming throughout. One downside is that the restaurant is only open during lunch hours, which makes it a bit harder to plan a visit. It’s also slightly tricky to find and requires a short 5-minute walk from the parking area, but it is definitely worth the effort. A wonderful spot for authentic, local Tuscan cooking done with care and tradition.
