19/05/2026: We walk around Lucca looking for busy restaurants which we hope is a good sign. We had a very simple but delicious meal starting with a complimentary Prosecco. I saw Pici so we had to try it. Fresh with a delicious sauce. The spinach was delicious as well. Great service with a smile.

18/05/2026: I ate there when I was at the summer camp. It was a lifesaver, the hotel food was awful, and when we went to eat there it was like a miracle. The food was delicious, especially the lemon sorbet.

22/05/2026: The service was noticeable compared to what they do for tourists; they paid much more attention to them, while they only came to deliver our dishes. In fact, when the meat arrived, we hadn't realized it was so well done we couldn't chew it (even though we'd asked for it rare). We didn't realize until we grabbed a slice from the platter, but the waitress was gone. We waited, but since there were no waiters, we made do. We were the only ones in that room. 20/10/2025: After visiting the beautiful village of Vinci, we stopped at this bistro for lunch. We ate outside. The food was excellent, made with quality ingredients. There are several wines to choose from. The Chianina beef tartare, roasted vegetables, and roast pork loin were excellent. The tiramisu with biscotti and vinsanto was unforgettable. The owner and waitress were extremely helpful and ready to offer suggestions and information. We had a wonderful time; it was a fantastic day!

13/10/2025: Super personalized service from the entire staff. They're very attentive to customers and cater to everyone's whims... ask what's on offer, and they'll always surprise you with dishes off the menu!

28/03/2026: I don't usually write reviews for places I stop for coffee or a snack, but something happened recently that left me a bit perplexed. I made a mistake when tapping the receipt, and I had a tea from the jug and a large biscuit. A beer and something else were tapped for €1, so the receipt came to €5.40. I paid with €6 (I should point out that I asked for the total several times and wasn't told; the cashier's display didn't show anything). Once I received the receipt, I realized the mistake, which the cashier already knew about. In short, a series of give-and-take moves began. In the end, I don't know how much I paid, but I'm sure they took more than they were supposed to, justifying it by saying it's an automatic cash register where the operator doesn't touch money. I left the place very shocked, I don't think I'll go back and in any case what makes me think is not so much the trivial mistake, even if I don't understand how the operator didn't realise that he had beaten a beer at 3.90 against a biscuit that costs as much as a pastry, but the way they tried to remedy it.

17/03/2026: This review is more about the café (which always has excellent coffee and delicious pastries) than it is about Yousef, behind the counter, who, despite his young age, is a true professional: polite, tidy, and attentive. I wish him a bright future.

18/05/2026: One of the nicest bars/cafés. We always enjoy coming here. That was once the case… unfortunately, it's no longer our favorite bar in town. Significantly more expensive with worse service.

23/02/2026: An almost unexpected and absolutely positive surprise. We received a gift voucher for the Sm...box service for two, which could be used on a variety of options. After extensive research on the website, all of which were unappealing—either because of the type of offer, potential additional costs, or because the participating establishment no longer existed—we found Soloperpassione, albeit with some hesitation because it was the only establishment offering a FULL lunch. But it was the truth, and more. A very nice place, well-kept and furnished, with outdoor space (a covered veranda in the garden). The welcome and service were extremely kind and helpful. I must compliment the dishes: the wine and local cured meats were delicious (the finocchiona melts in your mouth). The menu also included pici with meat sauce, mixed grill with potatoes, dessert, water, and wine. We didn't spend a cent. The portions were generous; we didn't eat the bread. Highly recommended. I think it's wise to book, as there aren't many seats.

05/05/2026: A wonderful place where you can find excellent food served with great skill, kindness, and a passion for their craft. An honorable mention for the selection of cheeses, which the owner, a highly skilled cheese taster, presents, explaining their characteristics and offering a sensory journey. Congratulations indeed!

29/03/2026: Flavors of a bygone era in a timeless setting. Even the name "Tripolitania" harks back to times gone by, and in fact this restaurant boasts over a century of business, having opened way back in 1911, when Italy was no more than an empire... Here we rediscover the true flavors of Tuscan home cooking, now hard to find in an increasingly globalized and conformist restaurant industry. I highly recommend it, especially to foreign tourists who want to discover authentic dishes from this region. Will I return? Definitely.
