A characteristic place that exudes warmth and familiarity Well done Salvatore, perfection is not our thing but you are on the right track. We had a great time: local flavours and aromas, the embarrassment of having to choose between so many delicacies. And last but not least the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. And at the end a walk in the historic centre refreshes the heart ❤️ and the soul. We will definitely be back. Seeing is believing. Zavi59

29/03/2025: Characteristic environment and very helpful staff who welcomed us half an hour before opening time to avoid making us wait in the cold and rain! Absolutely worth trying is their SUPER appetizer: in name and in fact! At the end of the dinner, even though we were full, Mr. Salvatore invited us to try their homemade tiramisu... EXCELLENT CHOICE: so good that I wasn't able to photograph the dessert while it was still whole!

11/04/2025: Ciao was the perfect hidden gem. Small place run and loved by the owner. Every single item is made fresh and to order. Everything. I was amazed at the dedication and quality of all the food and drinks we ordered. The owner was extremely friendly and inviting. There were several people from many different countries and he made everyone feel like a friend. It was truly one of those places that just makes you feel happy

29/12/2024: Una de las cenas más mediocres de nuestra semana en Sicilia. Habíamos leído buenas críticas pero la realidad es que ha sido una de las peores experiencias de nuestro viaje. Ya al leer la carta nos costó Dios y ayuda decidirnos por algo que nos sedujera mínimamente. Platos poco atractivos, con mezclas que no parecía (como así fue) que pudiesen funcionar.Probamos 5 platos y ni uno solo levantó pasiones, más bien al contrario. Un bacalao fresco, no incomible, pero demasiado salado y del montón; unas sepias a la plancha que tuvimos que dejar en el plato, duras como una piedra, crudas y quemadas; una pasta rellena que no sabía absolutamente a nada y unos macarrones grandes con una crema de patata infumable. Salimos de allí lo más rápido posible y lo que había sido un recibimiento amigable (el dueño se sentó en nuestra mesa para hacernos recomendaciones y hablarnos de sus vacaciones en Canarias) se tornó en una despedida fría sin ofrecernos ni postre. Obviamente él también se había dado cuenta que no nos había gustado la cena y optó por no hacer ningún comentario al respecto. Creo que él también era consciente de que nos había dado gato por liebre y que no nos la había colado. Comida sin personalidad ni sabor, cara para la mediocridad de lo recibido. La peor experiencia de nuestro viaje.

07/04/2025: Careful and meticulous research into quality raw materials, the most sought after and refined spirits, combined with obsessive attention to detail, both in the preparation and presentation of their cocktails. The location is unique, with an exclusive style room and a beautiful internal courtyard, a real jewel in the area. The owner and all his staff are lovely and friendly people. I highly recommend trying their platters and their cuisine. Super recommended!

07/04/2025: Imagine how a Sicilian might feel when he discovers that he is intolerant to gluten, lactose and eggs. Forced to look at hot croissants, fragrant pastries and most pastries, practically only from afar. And instead, here's the surprise: with the "flavors of Badia" the Genoese ones are also gluten-free and lactose-free (even without eggs). Basically a blessing for intolerants and celiacs and the flavor is literally amazing! super welcoming place and extremely friendly and hospitable host. What can I say, an obligatory stop before a nice walk in Erice!
