Gagini Social Restaurant In Palermo

I've dined at several Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and North America, and I find it very difficult to understand how they maintain their distinction. I was there with my 9-year-old daughter, and the service was clearly less attentive than for adult diners. The execution was sometimes questionable. The beef carpaccio was smothered in a mustard-based sauce that masked any potential subtlety the dish could have had. The pasta was exquisite, of course. However, the pork belly was undercooked, and the sauces it was served in lacked finesse. On a positive note, the homemade bread and desserts were better, though not enough on their own to justify a star.

Tasting done. Excellent culinary experience, attentive and thoughtful service. I can only give everything a 5! Well deserved! Well done! The only thing I would say is the quantity of some dishes. I understand it's a tasting, but I would have appreciated a few more grams in some dishes, just to "experience" the flavor of the dish.

A true fine dining restaurant, from the decor, atmosphere, service and of course the food! The dishes are both interesting and delicious and do not disappoint. The selection of wines are also very special. Would absolutely recommend!

Very overrated restaurant. We ordered à la carte, and the portions were very small. The tuna tartare was good but not exceptional. The fish of the day was overcooked and lacked flavor. The fillet was tiny. The wine list was very good. We were on the terrace and saw two cockroaches go by.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu and wine pairing - I would highly recommend if you’re looking to have a special evening. A very interesting take on traditional Sicilian dishes and ingredients.

The cuisine is a true experience: authentic Sicilian dishes, creatively and expertly interpreted at the highest level – using ingredients sourced directly from the region and prepared with a passion that you can taste on your plate. These were complemented by local wines that harmonized perfectly with the food and worthily represented Sicily's wine culture. The service was attentive, warm, and professional – we immediately felt welcome and well taken care of. The icing on the cake: exquisite music played in the background on a high-end turntable, lending the evening a very special, almost intimate atmosphere. Gagini isn't just a restaurant – it's a journey through Sicily's history, culture, and cuisine. Highly recommended, especially for a special evening.
