21/01/2025: The Virginia bar in via Sammartino in Palermo is a little gem that deserves a stop. The staff is helpful, attentive and friendly, with genuine smiles that, nowadays, are not found everywhere — and here they are absolutely free! 😊 The place is clean, bright and welcoming, with seating both inside, on comfortable stools, and outside, where well-arranged tables allow you to enjoy the atmosphere of the city. For a moment we forget the traffic and the horns and hear someone from some apartment playing the drums and the violin... savoring our food... The quality of the products is excellent: everything is genuine and fresh. Today I tried a berry croissant with chopped pistachios — a real delight. The berry jam was sweet enough, balanced and not cloying. A small detail that makes you smile: even a hungry pigeon appreciated the goodness of the croissant (certainly not the bar's fault!), but the staff, always attentive, is ready to intervene to guarantee the comfort of the guests. Recommended for those looking for a simple place but with excellent quality and a warm welcome. Try it to believe it!

16/01/2025: In this bar you find the flavor of a good breakfast and diner which are now forgotten flavors in many bars. I was also able to appreciate the goodness of the pastries which are fresh and of high quality. It's a shame that the place is small and in times of large crowds it is difficult to enjoy something in peace.

10/12/2024: Great café in the small town of Lentini, the small sweet pastries are highly recommended, I would particularly like to highlight ANTONI, very hard-working and friendly, but all the staff are very friendly and competent. I'd love to come back

09/04/2025: Attracted by the smell that came to my nose from the kitchen, I spontaneously decided to have my “pranzo” here. At the beginning of April I was the only guest at 1 p.m. - but that quickly changed. Antipasti was the Caponata di melanzane. I don't know what the caponata that Adelina makes for her inspector tastes like - this one was MERAVIGLIOSA! Afterwards there was Linguine del Capitano, for which many innocent little octopuses had to give up their lives - the chef gave them a more than worthy burial! The meal was accompanied by a wonderful white wine (Grillo). The only downside: there was no coffee for afterwards. Still overall highly recommended!

17/10/2024: Great little café at the entrance of Canicattìni Bagni, at the Q8 gasoline station. Friendly personal, good coffee and pastry. Very reasonable prices. Seating indoors and outdoors. Also perfect for a copious aperitivo before lunch. 😉 Free parking right in front of the door. Recommended! 👍

It is not the best in Palermo, but given the prices and the variety of dishes available, I would recommend it for those who are not looking for sophisticated places with absurd prices, but something quiet without too many pretensions

18/03/2025: Abbiamo ordinato 2 cappucci e 3 raviole. Cappucci ustionanti a dir poco. Il problema arriva al momento del pagamento. Lo scontrino è di 7€. Alla mia richiesta di spiegazioni, dicono che il cappuccino costa 2€ e le raviole 0.90€ l'una. A parte il fatto che il totale è 6.70€ e non di 7€ ( viene data la colpa alla calcolatrice ... ma davvero??), mi chiedo come un cappuccino (peraltro davvero fatto male) qui possa costare 2€. La sensazione è di essere stati imbrogliati in quanto turisti. Ricordo poi che i prezzi dovrebbero essere esposti. Davvero pessimi. Meno male che almeno le raviole erano buone. Comunque mai più

21/01/2025: The best! I go to Sicily, back to the home town 4 to five times a year. My loyalties lay here as what ever they touch is superb albeit patisserie or savoury. Some of the specialist products are also worth the price tag. Long & short of it, you cannot go wrong
