28/08/2025: I went to Favara on vacation and Ores and her sisters are super nice!!! I highly recommend this establishment for the drinks, the ice cream, the welcome, etc. I will definitely come back without hesitation 😀😃🙂🙃😊

19/09/2025: We were visiting Erice and stopped in for dinner - what a lucky find! The owner was friendly and made us feel welcome even though we were a little early for their dinner hours. Our dishes were hearty and delicious, with generous portions and very fair prices, especially for the location. We plan to come back for the last night of our trip.

14/08/2025: Very good desserts, decent deli food; last year they made mushroom and vegetable pizzas, and other deli items that you don't see at the counter anymore. Coffee is expensive at €1.30, a problem with many bars, unfortunately.

02/10/2025: The three stars are only for the arranchinis. We ordered coca cola zero and they gave us something else that they called “sicilian coca cola zero”. They didn’t tell us for that thing as we were talking to be bottled and to take it to go.

12/10/2025: Strategically located to entice tourists passing through to visit the nearby Royal Palace: right next to it are the Bastions, which protected the city of Palermo. The entrance to the indoor restaurant leads into a small room, which is connected by a staircase to a larger room. Outside, parallel to the road, is a large gazebo covered with clear plastic. We sat inside in the small room. The waiter wasn't prompt in taking our orders, and it took a while to bring water. The first courses finally arrived: marinara risotto with too much pepper, and not enough empty mussels; the fried squid with tough, not to mention 🍰: an indefinable flavor. In short, we won't be returning. Mm

06/10/2025: Located between Piazza Borsa and Piazza Sant'Anna, the Lizard is a pub that occasionally hosts live music and jam sessions. The venue has a large indoor dining room with tables and a dedicated area for performances. Prices are average.

06/10/2025: It all gets lost in the face of one of the employees or the owner, who threatened to raise his hand and was rude and impolite, and I had already had a drink... a call to the financial police and I bet some small rule has already been violated. To be closed.

30/09/2025: A splendid property, but the welcome leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. The hotel is truly charming, with elegant spaces and a perfect spa for relaxing. The staff at reception and the bar were also impeccable: kind, attentive, and friendly. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the owner's attitude, whose cold, rude, and at times arrogant demeanor made me feel more like a nuisance than a guest. This behavior was completely inappropriate, and it ruined the atmosphere of what could have been a wonderful experience. It's a real shame, because the property deserves... The hospitality doesn't live up to the setting; it's mostly a matter of manners.

18/10/2025: We had a wonderful evening at Divino Mare. The place was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The service and the warm welcome from the owner Fabrizio made our dinner a memorable experience. The wines (which are exclusively natural) and the dishes were delicious, the products were local and the attention to creating clean and well-balanced flavors is evident. Special mention for the paccheroni dish with pear sauce and smoked tuna! I asked to be surprised and it was probably one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten in my life. I also asked for a grappa and frankly, the carob grappa I drank was phenomenal. Fabrizio even recommended that we visit a natural vineyard, which turned out to be a true marvel. Bravo!

27/09/2025: One of few very cute, traditional and artisanal bakeries we’ve found off the beaten track in Palermo. It offers a relaxed and very cozy ambiance. All goods are hand-made, very yum and traditionally Sicilian/Italian! The owner both bakes the goods and also runs the café in a very friendly and familiar manner. Hat’s off! Both savoury and sweet baked goods were amazingly good. And their coffee probably one of the best Italian espresso in town from a proper coffee machine (NOT from pods). A Must-try for everyone with a sweet tooth: their filled cornetti! 🥐 Complimenti e auguri! 👏🏼🙌🏼🤩
