15/07/2026: We went to Bar Splendori and had a sambuca and a strawberry and lemon vodka cocktail. The bartender was very kind and, after we ordered, brought us a classic fried calzone, fries, and a plain focaccia.
Everything was delicious; I'll definitely be back.
14/07/2026: We stopped for an aperitivo on Corso Calatafimi at the Splendori bar. We ordered a sambuca and a vodka strawberry lemon. A fried calzone arrived with it, but I don't eat meat. The waiter came back with something I could eat too. He was very good, a good cocktail, and a nice cold sambuca.

02/04/2026: Unfortunately, Bar Valentino isn't what it used to be. The quality has dropped, the desserts were often inedible, and the staff... the girl who keeps washing pasta dishes in the bar sink... the tables were dirty, as was the floor. Perhaps they're short on staff. It's a shame...
26/02/2026: Located in the heart of Cassibile's main street, this café, rotisserie, and pastry shop offers quality products, freshly baked every day. Everything is delicious, and the staff is friendly, including the owner! If you're on Via Nazionale, stop by Bar Valentino!

02/06/2026: Perfect hotel, very spacious, beautiful pool, with individual apartments rather than rooms as usual, impeccable housekeeping (they even folded my clothes), and courteous and helpful reception staff. The location is just steps from the port where hydrofoils arrive and where they rent dinghies and scooters.

14/07/2026: I must look like a bum because the first thing he said to me was: don't ask me for Cuban cigars because I only have Trinidads and they're €80 a cigar.
Apart from that, he was nice and introduced me to some interesting sizes. He has a pretty good selection of New World cigars.
For €250, don't expect to receive a cigar cutter or even a lighter, whereas two days earlier in Genoa, for the same amount (the person knew I was leaving for Sicily the next day), they gave me a cigar cutter and a lighter.
I still recommend him, though.

13/07/2026: A very welcoming place with a refined atmosphere. We ordered two tagliata with vegetables, everything excellent, and the homemade bread is exquisite. If I'm not mistaken, the owner's name is Mauro, and he was really kind, recommending several things we'd asked for.

Do not miss the wonderful and shaded patio.

29/06/2026: Should have heeded the reviews left by others... Nothing is particularly wrong or bad with this establishment but they charged us 8 Euro extra for food we didn't order and then made excuses for why they wouldn't credit us back.
Be warned, they charge a hefty price just to sit down. If you go, check your bill very carefully!

There is absolutely no vibe, and the atmosphere is very strange—it feels exactly like you are waiting in a busy bus terminal. We tried a few different dishes, including the mix di mare, but nothing was special.
They charged us 3 eu for sitting .
