A Lampara In

A restaurant with an excellent location and friendly service. We arrived before opening time, and the owner was helpful, allowing us to park inside and sit down early. The environment is clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with a very pleasant sea view. The seafood risotto was well-prepared, with fresh ingredients and a good creaminess. The fried calamari was dry and crispy, a sign of proper oil management. Attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a positive experience, consistent with expectations for a lunch at a seaside establishment.

Terrace overlooking the sea. The two of us had an appetizer, a first course, and a second course. Refined and sophisticated dishes that showcase the flavor of the incredibly fresh fish. Excellent quality and generous portions, with prices in line with the quality. We went on a Friday evening and the place was very busy. We had a bit of a wait, but the staff was quick and helpful, and the wait was more than worth it.

Dinner: An interminable wait despite the limited seating, but the food was fresh and delicious.

We stopped by chance for lunch on the huge veranda overlooking the sea. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The dishes were generous, delicious, and much to our liking. Finally, that mandarin sorbet was truly delicious. Kudos to Daniele for his hospitality, and to Angela, who was incredibly friendly. We'll be back with friends at the first opportunity.

What can I say? Just like in the old days, the welcome is quality and tasteful. Nothing more is needed. Excellent. Advice from Daniele, the dining room manager, is very welcome. Thanks until next time.

We had dinner at La Lampara last night. The food wasn't bad, but if you want a complete fish appetizer, you either pay more for a cooked and a raw dish, or you get the complete dish for €38. You can order at least two dishes at the same table, so €76 for two appetizers, but it's fish. It's a shame the portions were so small they almost weren't enough. The quality of the raw fish wasn't good, but the cooked ones weren't. When you raise the price, you also have to raise the quality of both the product and the service.

Truly quality fish. It's certainly not cheap, but it's always worth it.

Of course, we went to Lampara on a Saturday night. We had reservations, and thank goodness for that. Otherwise, it would have been impossible to get a table. It coincided with our anniversary. We'd been there once a long time ago. We weren't very satisfied with the quality of the food and had paid a lot. We tried again on Saturday. The place is a hellish mess. There are tables everywhere. Outside, scattered everywhere. Inside, there are multiple areas. A mess. Luckily, since there were two of us, they sat us on a veranda overlooking the sea, where they only set up individual tables for two, because the space wasn't enough. However, given the huge turnout, they even managed to set up a table for about eight people at the end of this veranda. They're truly daring. Once we were seated, after waiting a bit, the first waitress who arrived, instead of taking our orders, went to ask for them from the table above us, who had arrived after us. So I had to get up and point this out to a gentleman who was perhaps the maître d'. Meanwhile, the couple sitting behind us left without eating. They'd arrived before us; I don't know how long they'd been waiting. I must say that after the waitress was called back, she came over, so we ordered. The food arrived fairly quickly. I had a very large grilled octopus and a green salad. My companion had a generous slice of swordfish with a side of fries. Then we had sparkling mineral water. I couldn't eat the whole octopus, so I asked for a dogybag. They were quick to give it to me right away. What we ate was good. Good quality. We paid €50. I think that's about average. It certainly wasn't a quiet anniversary dinner... It's fine that after Hurricane Harry, restaurateurs have to make up for the damage and therefore add tables to the point of being impossible, since they only work intensely four months a year, because it's a restaurant right on the water's edge, and therefore all the profit is concentrated during that period. However, certain inconveniences for paying customers, as mentioned above, and the parking lot being completely inadequate to accommodate this volume of customers, should be resolved. Therefore, parking is along the SP66, at the customers' risk of being mowed down by passing cars. This is even more dangerous at night. There is no other parking outside the restaurant. I therefore believe the owners should offer a more efficient service. Instead, it's a bit of a "have your cake and eat it." On the other hand, the crisis evidently doesn't affect anyone, because people are coming to eat in droves. So what can I say? Okay, the price is right! 😉😅

Nice restaurant by the sea, normal food, nothing special compared to other restaurants, limited selection of fresh fish given the advertising they do.
