This evening we chose to dine at this historic trattoria in Sciacca.
A very simple yet elegant restaurant.
The welcome and table service were perfect.
All the dishes we chose were truly excellent.
Recommended for sampling excellent fresh fish.

Close to the port of Sciacca, so parking is convenient. One of the best meals I've had in Sicily, the fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. We had the white shrimp tartare and the raw red shrimp: out of this world! The spaghetti with John Dory roe and raw shrimp is highly recommended, delicate and delicious! The desserts are also exceptional; we had the cassata, which was amazing. The price was absolutely right for the quality of the food and wine. The service was friendly and attentive. The place is a little more elegant than it looks from the outside, but we had three children with us and had no problems.

Excellent seafood restaurant, down at the port. Worth the walk down if you are staying up, the top of the village. I'd suggest you book, we were lucky the owner squeezed us in on a very busy Saturday night, very lucky is the food was awesome. Try the mixed entree, top class. The baked octopus was also a standout.

I returned to dine at this trattoria after a good 25 years. I found the place completely renovated; the only negative, in my opinion, is the lighting: the excessive white light takes away some of the warmth from the atmosphere.
Otherwise, the experience was excellent: excellent food, very friendly staff, and a very fair quality/price ratio. I definitely recommend it!
