20/06/2026: Not transparent, called ahead about vegetarian options and got misled We called ahead specifically to ask about vegetarian options and were told there were plenty. On arrival, we were only offered the fixed meat-based tasting menu. When we pushed back, staff first insisted there was no vegetarian option, then eventually put something together — just a couple of starters, the same vegetarian items already part of my own menu, in a much smaller portion. Not what we'd been promised on the phone. Before ordering, we discussed pricing with our waitress: since I was having the full fixed menu and my girlfriend would be eating far less, going à la carte instead. She walked us through it item by item — "ten euros here, ten euros there" — clearly implying a lower total to reflect the smaller amount of food, even if no exact number was stated. That was the clear understanding we walked away with. At checkout, we were charged for two full fixed menus. When I raised this, the person at the register was dismissive and unwilling to actually listen — just repeating firmly that à la carte costs more, period, end of discussion. No real attempt to understand what we'd been told earlier, which felt unprofessional and unkind given the context. Food portions were enormous, far more than anyone could finish, leaving me questioning whether quantity is prioritized over quality and consistency. Service felt outwardly very kind throughout the meal, almost overly so, which made the rigid, dismissive attitude at the bill even more jarring. Between the vegetarian bait-and-switch and the non-transparent pricing, this felt like a touristic trap!!!

26/02/2026: One of the best places in Alghero...I often go for breakfast and recommend it for the professionalism of the staff. Always friendly and smiling. Not to mention the quality of the ingredients they serve. The pastries are top-notch, as is the coffee. The atmosphere is quiet. I highly recommend it.

04/06/2026: We arrived yesterday evening as a last resort, very late at night, and were starving, having just arrived from the airport. There were three of us, each ordering two pizzas and one spaghetti carbonara. The spaghetti was okay, nothing special, just a bit salty. The pizza funghi was impossible to cut with the provided cutlery, and the tuna pizza, for some reason, arrived as a plate of tuna steaks that were still raw inside. The upshot was that we all ended up sitting in the bungalow for two hours with diarrhea.

30/04/2026: We arrived in this charming town with our campervan. We treated ourselves to an Aperol Spritz and a beer. We received a delicious antipasti without having to order it, and without having to pay for it. The service was also very friendly.

18/10/2025: We stayed at this hotel with two children for three nights in mid-October. Check-in was very pleasant. They explained to us which direction the wind would be blowing in the next few days and which beaches they recommended. The in-house restaurant was a dream in terms of food, so we spent two evenings there. The service staff was also very good. Whether at meals or at reception, the staff were always friendly. That's unfortunately still rare in Germany. And I trained as a hotel manager myself and always look at the restaurant industry with a strict eye. I like to find something to complain about. ;-) Not at this hotel, however. Unfortunately, the pool wasn't heated. But that didn't bother my husband and children. The rooms were cleaned daily. There were more than enough towels. You could borrow umbrellas, toys, etc. for the beach. The Wi-Fi was faster than at home. The city center was a 15-minute walk away. It was the perfect location for us. The nearest beaches are a 5-minute drive away, the city center and supermarket are 2 minutes away, and the location is quiet with a view of the mountains.

18/10/2025: The rooms are a bit dated, but this is more than compensated for by the overall package and, above all, the incredible friendliness and humanity of the staff. -Eating in the restaurant in the evening is highly recommended 👍🏽 -Superbly maintained grounds and a beautiful (unheated) pool 👍🏽 -There are several cats living on the property, and when our children wanted to pet them, a staff member was immediately on hand to give them small treats to entice them 👍🏽 -When one of our children injured his knee, he received immediate help, the wound was cleaned, and he was given a hug. You could really feel the humanity shown to you🫶🏼 -Moderate breakfast buffet, but you don't need more than that 👍🏽 -Really good location, great advice on beaches, etc. 👍🏽 Highly recommended, many thanks to everyone involved with the hotel.

19/05/2026: I warn you against this pizzeria! We were treated very unprofessionally and rudely by a pompous waiter. I was with my husband and two children, including a 5-year-old who is a picky eater. My older daughter, on the other hand, has allergies and can't eat many dishes. The waiter forced us to order four dishes, claiming it was a restaurant. I should add that this is a typical pizzeria, and even if it were a restaurant, he has no right to force us to order dishes for children who couldn't find anything worthwhile. Furthermore, the pizza is so large that one slice from us would have been enough for the children, even if my daughter could eat it due to her allergy. I've never encountered someone forcing us to order the same number of dishes as the number of people. It was a disaster. Also, be warned! We ordered one pizza immediately upon entering, knowing what we wanted. After reviewing the menu, we ordered a second, different one. My husband concluded that we wanted two pizzas. The waiter assumed the one pizza we initially ordered was a separate order and brought three. During our visit, two neighboring tables also experienced some mistakes. The waiters brought the wrong pizzas and returned them to the kitchen. The place was messy, lacking manners and professionalism. The pizza itself wasn't very good. I'll be here for many days, but we'll be avoiding this place. Coperto, of course, added 10 euros to the bill! I wouldn't even pay 1 euro for this poor service.

16/05/2026: I asked for a glass of water three times before eating, but nothing. Finally, they brought me a 250cc glass bottle, which I sent back because I didn't order it. Denying me water, I think, is a huge rudeness, and I'd say NO thanks. The tuna salad was good, but the raw ingredients weren't good for the price. Not recommended.

16/04/2026: Too bad this time I was very disappointed. The waitress didn't listen well to what I ordered and created problems with eating. She said that the pizzas had arrived but when I went to pay the pizzas were still in the oven (she exclaimed the boys ate them). We left without having eaten, only drank.

26/11/2025: Simply never again Paying €5.80 for two coffees and two half-cups of water is simply not an option, even at a table. Whatever you want, but it's outrageous. Luckily, we didn't eat any pastries. Now I understand why the place was empty at 11 in the morning (not a soul in sight).

21/11/2025: I had breakfast, excellent coffee, and excellent creamy pasta. It's small compared to what we see around, and it's eye-catching but lacks substance. You immediately realize this isn't just any old place; it's a refined setting with a certain clientele. As soon as you enter, you realize that all these aspects, including the atmosphere, take you back to a time that I believe even Cagliari has long since lost, a symbol of a wealthy Cagliari that has quietly worked to bring about development. A top rating for everything.
