06/05/2025: A true corner of Vienna in the heart of Cagliari! This Viennese café is a very pleasant surprise for those looking for a different, elegant and refined experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with furnishings with attention to detail that recall the traditional cafés of Vienna: comfortable seats, soft lights, discreet background music. The menu offers an excellent selection of typical Viennese desserts, such as Sachertorte and apple strudel, both exquisite and served with great attention to presentation. The coffee is of the highest quality, with several options between espresso, melange and other Austrian specialties, all prepared with care. Hot drinks like Viennese chocolate also deserve a mention: creamy, thick, perfect. The staff is kind, professional and always available to tell you something more about the Viennese tradition, making the experience even more authentic. It is the ideal place for an afternoon break, a snack with friends or even a moment of relaxation alone with a good book. There is an international but at the same time familiar atmosphere. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves to something special in Cagliari.

06/03/2025: It was raining. Nothing better than taking shelter and taking the opportunity to explore one of the many small bars that we are lucky enough to be able to frequent. Warm, relaxed environment. Excellent coffee and good pasta. A pleasant break before returning to the road.

15/05/2025: Quality and service have definitely worsened, I went three days ago for breakfast and found a terrible cappuccino not to mention a very dry jam croissant with very little filling (practically dry) .. same problem for my wife who was given a cold cream croissant from the fridge.. I recommend changing the pastry supplier..

17/05/2025: There are better ones in São Paulo, where I have traveled around the world, and even in Santa Teresa. It is not what it seems and we still fall for the “fresh fish” story. The menu does not indicate what is actually charged – the surprise comes at the end – on the bill. The price listed is per gram and not per fillet or kilo, not to mention that the seasoning was tasteless or almost non-existent. After what happened to me, I went to look at the reviews on other restaurant and hotel review sites, where the complaint has been the same for a long time – I arrived in 2014 – where people also felt cheated. I do not argue about the price to be paid, when I know what I am paying for and the service deserves it. That was not the case, as soon as we entered the restaurant, it seemed like a swarm of people trying to push the “suggestion”, as if they had chosen the duck of the day. And I fell for it, trusting that it would really be a great suggestion. The price was not worth what they delivered and there was no indication on the menu of how the price is charged. As if that weren’t enough, there’s also the “reception” upon arrival, which offers you a glass of dry prosciutto that makes you believe it’s just a courtesy on the house and if you want it, you’ll be charged for the bottle or the shot, but that’s not the case from what I’ve read in the reviews, and they also charge you at the end. I didn’t fall for that one, because I don’t drink and I refused, but it could have been a “full night”. Nothing is explained, and if you look like a tourist, you’ll be easy prey. An experience to forget, unless you want to waste money. I asked the waitress if that was okay, and she looked at what would be the manager or owner and awkwardly tried to explain. It was just my attempt to show how absurd it was, and then her fearful look and voice “answered” me… The fish is weighed beforehand, the price is per gram, not per kilo, I was told that there would be two fillets – not one after it’s cooked – and all in pieces, and that it cost 84 Euros! There’s no rating lower than one star, because if there was, I would take it down, including for the service.

07/04/2025: Semplice trattoria sarda , ma dai contenuti importanti. Abbiamo mangiato antipasto e primi di pesce. Polipo , gamberi alla catalana e spaghetti vongole bottarga. Tutto eccellente. 15/02/2025: Approdato per pranzo all’Ancora il 15/02 con i miei quattro compagni di viaggio, siamo stati accolti con professionalità e calore da Gualberto e Mirella, un vero equipaggio di sala, che ci ha subito messi a nostro agio con un delizioso aperitivo 🥂 mentre esploravamo il ricco menu di mare 🦞🐟. Per restare in tema nautico, ci siamo lasciati trasportare con maestria dallo chef Marco, che ha saputo guidarci tra onde di sapori raffinati 🌊. Abbiamo veleggiato tra primi piatti irresistibili come arselle, vongole, mazzancolle e fregola con bottarga 🍝, per poi tuffarci nel gusto con aragostine, totani ripieni, pesce spada, tonno, calamari e astice 🦑🐠, piatti che meritano davvero un applauso 👏. A coronare questa traversata gastronomica, gli squisiti dolci della casa 🍰, accompagnati da ottimo vino 🍷 e un sorso di autentico liquore sardo 🥃.
