25/08/2025: I'd like to sincerely thank the owners and all the staff at Agriturismo Santa Chiara. They were always kind and helpful, ready to help us or check in. They offered us a beautiful room overlooking the pool. The included breakfast was delicious, with a nice mix of sweet and savory.
Sometimes the lady cooks for guests, and I must say she's truly excellent. I absolutely recommend staying there for dinner, as it was a delicious and warm experience.
The agriturismo is large and welcoming, perfect for taking photos or reading a book while relaxing in the sun by the pool. I found a bit of my hometown in them, as they are family-like, kind, and welcoming—just what I was looking for in southern Italy.
I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place.

22/03/2026: It's a real shame, because the place has a lovely atmosphere and is very well-kept.
I went there for an aperitivo with a friend, but basically the only redeeming feature was the juice (that's why I didn't give it a star).
When we asked if we could split a gourmet aperitivo, we were told it wasn't possible, as the portions weren't divisible... A questionable response in hindsight.
The price didn't match the quality of the products we received. In fact, we had to return several dishes due to questionable edibility. For this reason, we were given a €2 discount per person. It was negligible compared to the asking price.
My stomach felt the effects until the next day.
16/03/2026: Poor-quality gourmet aperitif with products evidently reheated in the microwave. The taste and texture were terrible. We tasted and left most of the dishes. The waitress, very kindly, expressed regret and offered to discuss the matter "to improve the service." When paying, they gave us a €2 discount per person. I would have avoided this review if they hadn't charged us for both aperitifs (or at least one).
Otherwise, the place is cute, welcoming, and excellent for simpler aperitifs.

08/04/2026: We had the Spumone, a typical Salento dish. It's delicious; not everywhere is it this good and plentiful. Plus, the lady at the cash register, I assume the owner, is really kind. Plus, the bar is located on Gallipoli's historic island, and you can sit outside on the pedestrian promenade. It was Easter weekend, so the tourist season is just beginning.

11/11/2025: Very good pizza, very small parking lot! Several aspects could be improved. Saturdays are definitely too crowded, partly due to takeout.
26/10/2025: We had a table at 9:30 PM. We ordered at 10:15 PM. After that, the fried food arrived first, after twenty minutes, and then we ordered drinks, as they hadn't arrived yet. The pizzas arrived at 11:30 PM. There was no staff, slow service, and the dining room was uncovered, so we left the pizzeria at midnight. We won't be coming back.

08/02/2026: I have to report two unfortunate incidents:
I know the restaurant thanks to The Fork, and after eating there a couple of times, I decided to return and book through the The Fork app.
First incident: I booked through The Fork on New Year's Eve with the regular à la carte menu and a 20% discount, with confirmation of the reservation via email. I was contacted a day before and told that the reservation could be confirmed, but the discount would not be applied, and the à la carte menu was transformed into a fixed menu at an unreasonable price. Obviously, my refusal resulted in the cancellation of the reservation, ruining New Year's Eve (but that's understandable).
Second incident: Last night, I booked through The Fork for two with a 20% discount, and 1 hour before the booked time, I was contacted and told that they had an issue with the portal and that my reservation could not be confirmed (even though I have the restaurant's confirmation email)!
Nor do I speak to friends who use The Fork, and they too have received last-minute cancellations due to technical problems on other days.
Repeat offender!!!
The doubt remains... and the disappointment is profound!!!

03/12/2025: Nice atmosphere and good pastries, but overpriced and unwelcoming. Every time you order something, the cover charge goes up by 50 cents. Two of us ordered two things, and we paid 4x the cover charge. Pure madness.

08/04/2026: An experience to forget!! We paid €45 per person for meatballs and meatloaf, absurd. Easter Monday lunch was ridiculous to say the least, without roast meat. Cold appetizers and inedible first courses. I will never go back!!

These restaurateurs, if we can call them that, are the shame of Puglia.
Not only do they not know how to cook, but they are also arrogant and rude to their customers. Finally, because there's more to it, you only pay cash and don't get a receipt.
