19/03/2026: This café's artisanal croissants are a real surprise. The dough is soft, well-leavened, and the quality of the workmanship is immediately apparent. The fillings are generous yet always balanced: the cream is velvety, delicate, and never overly sweet. The plain version is also excellent, showcasing the deliciousness of the dough.
The use of fresh ingredients and non-industrial production are clearly evident, elements that truly make the difference. It's the ideal place for a relaxed breakfast or a quality break.
The only small drawback: during peak hours, they sell out quickly... but perhaps that's precisely the key to their success!

14/02/2026: I've rarely reviewed a five-star restaurant. Here you'll find excellent meat, fantastic staff, and an authentic atmosphere. I stumbled upon it by chance on my first night of summer vacation in Puglia, and I must say I was very lucky. The young woman serving us later offered us drinks at the counter and some of their traditional sweets. Thank you again for the warm welcome.
28/11/2025: A gem in Carovigno. Hospitable service, delicious meats from their own butcher shop. Enjoyed incredibly delicious food and drinks among the locals at a very reasonable price. If you're looking for the true Italian Puglia experience, you should definitely eat here!

17/03/2026: A typical local pastry shop with a much wider selection than the usual fancy pastry shops, especially specialties from Lecce. The deli is also pleasant, and the atmosphere is certainly old-fashioned, but the care, cleanliness, and kindness of the owners weigh far more heavily than the trendy decor.

04/04/2026: We had lunch there the service was quick and friendly although a bit stressed. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The tuna steak was really good but the grilled vegetables were soaked in oil which wasn’t really to our liking.

The fish is fresh and very well prepared.

19/06/2025: Do indulge in this little dissimulated jewel, placed in the historical district of just as much of an underrated city, Brindisi.
Retrogusto lives up to the highest standards of Italian charme and hospitality.
A tucked away corner popping up unexpectedly from the cobblestone streets connecting important sites of Brindisi's old town (you just can't miss the nearby archeological museum Francesco Ribezzo, outstanding yet virtually unkown), this place will surprise you with its quaint atmosphere, welcoming vibe and courteous professionalism.
The staff is very kind, competent and warm, making you feel at home all along, while preparing the top cocktails in the process!
Make it a must stop in Brindisi 💗

The food is good, but I would pay more attention to the service, which, in my opinion, could be improved given that it's a restaurant that positions itself as a high-end establishment.
19/03/2026: The best Father's Day in the world... excellent dinner, the best risotto I've ever eaten, compliments to the chef... excellent service, Antonio stood out for his professionalism and preparation in his work, as well as being extremely friendly.
