01/04/2026: A hidden gem 😉 great price with a fantastic view

24/03/2026: We stopped mainly to heat up our baby's food and feed her. We were really surprised by the aperitivo! I had a non-alcoholic drink, and my partner had an alcoholic one. They brought a lot of food: mini pizzas, nachos, chips, peanuts, meatballs, olives, etc. For €12, we ate and drank for two, and my little girl had a hot lunch. I highly recommend it! The owner and waitress were kind and helpful. If we ever return to Santa Margherita, we'll definitely return to this place ☺️

24/08/2025: One star because I can't give zero stars. 3 cappuccinos for €8. The place is old and dirty, the pastries look like posse, and the tables are dirty at 8:30 in the morning. Service is unnecessarily slow. The windows are messy and dirty. Never again.

06/04/2026: The ice cream was average, good. The problem was that we were first told we needed a receipt. We went to the cashier and were told that since we were planning to sit down, we'd have to order outside. We sat down, and the waitress came and told us that if you're sitting at a table, you can't get a cone, only a cup. We accepted anyway. The bill arrived: a €2 surcharge per cup wasn't communicated to us by either the cashier or the waitress, which wasn't a problem, but I would have preferred it to be communicated to me.

15/11/2025: Fantastic little cafe, small but very cozy, the coffee is very delicious, but the atmosphere takes everything. It was nice just to be there.

04/05/2026: I had Easter lunch with my partner, a disappointment!!! The food was terrible and of poor quality. We had been customers before and had eaten well from the à la carte menu, which is why we came back. But I don't recommend it!!!

04/05/2026: I tried this bar because it was close to the B&B where I stayed in La Spezia with friends. After ordering coffee and croissants, we politely asked for four glasses of water. I found it really rude to charge €2.80 for them, since no one specified when we asked that they would cost €0.70 each. Furthermore, the staff didn't seem particularly welcoming to interacting with the public. Not recommended.

07/06/2026: My wife and I wanted to have lunch there. After climbing all the stairs to the top, I asked an employee on the middle floor if there was a table available upstairs. His reply: "I don't think so, but just go up." When we arrived at the top, several tables were visibly empty. I asked in English and pointed to an empty table. Instead of a normal answer, I received only a dismissive wave of the finger, as if our presence were unwelcome. When I asked for another table, the employee simply shrugged and practically ignored us. I have rarely experienced such an unfriendly and disrespectful welcome. If guests are treated like this upon entering a restaurant, it's no wonder they get bad reviews. We left immediately and spent our money elsewhere. Friendliness costs nothing – but it seems to be in short supply here.

12/04/2026: Few ice cream flavors that taste like water, the staff serves you with a face that doesn't want to work and we paid 9 euros for two ice creams on a stick from the fridge outside, absurd if I could I would have given 0 stars

The location is calming, relaxing, warm, and welcoming: the atmosphere makes you feel instantly at home and invites you to unwind. The service is impeccable, with friendly and always available staff, who put you at ease with their professionalism and smiles. The desserts are truly delicious, with a wide selection to satisfy every taste. A place you'll always want to return to!

29/11/2025: I'm going to get a ginseng with my boyfriend (I go there sometimes, since it's close to my house), so I'm not exactly a stranger. The reason I go there is because I like Natfood ginseng... given that the machine was on, my boyfriend and I chatted for a moment and didn't realize that they make the ginseng in capsules, which was also disgusting and dark and bitter. We asked her about it, and she told us that the sales rep was on vacation so she didn't have any Natfood. We took a half sip and left it all alone because it was disgusting to say the least. Instead of apologizing because she should have told us anyway, she was right again by charging us for the ginseng... I repeat, a full cup... congratulations, you lost 2 customers! For 3 euros!

20/03/2026: I've been sitting at the table outside for 15 minutes with two girls inside looking at me and no one to ask if I want to order. Or at least say, "Ma'am, we don't do table service." Instead, they're inside, watching and laughing. Terrible. I'm leaving.

10/05/2026: My husband bought me some pastries for Mother's Day, and also some slices of chocolate salami. Years ago, I used to buy them often, but now there wasn't a single good pastry. They just taste like sugar. The chocolate ones are all the same, the cream ones are the same. The chocolate salami tasted like nothing, and the rum babas were just too wet and soft. Pastries aren't as good as they used to be. I'm sick of them. Never again.

29/03/2026: A coffee, a tea (hot water with a teabag), and two pastries for €22.50. They don't even issue a receipt, and they don't even tell you how much it will cost if you order outside (on a plastic chair and table). It seems to me they were inspired by the other bar near them... AVOID!!!

09/05/2026: A small but well-stocked shop selling traditional products. But the real added value for us was Ilaria, who was incredibly kind and welcoming and answered all our questions about the ingredients thoroughly. Bravo!

20/04/2026: Scary!!!! If you go to this shop, prepare yourself for a heavenly culinary experience. This artisanal shop and outlet is nothing short of excellent. Ligurian ravioli, gnocchi, tagliatelle, and pansotti of every type, shape, and deliciousness. The environment is aseptic and clinically clean. An extrasensory experience unlike any other. Lean tavioli with herbs and ricotta, meat and borage ravioli. Ligurian ravioli made only with borage, artichokes, asparagus, or basil, all exquisite and refined with very thin pasta. Pansotti with buffalo mozzarella. Small, medium, and large jars of basil pesto, artichokes, asparagus, walnuts, pistachios, and Taggiasca olives, etc. A culinary ascent to Heaven or a direct and quick descent to Hell. Then there's trofie made with white, buckwheat, or whole wheat. Tagliatelle of all colors, including squid ink. A vast assortment of Ligurian delicacies, all artisanal and made in their clean and sanitized back room. If you enter this shop, prepare yourself for a tough and demanding journey. To do it, understand it, and complete it thoroughly, I estimate it takes about 7 days of continuous attendance. The true power and refinement of simple, local Ligurian cuisine is all concentrated in this shop. "Abandon all hope to you who enter here." S&P International Top rating AAA
