08/08/2026: Last night, we enjoyed a pleasant stop at Bar Gelateria Pierino during an evening stroll through the center of Diamante. It's a truly privileged location, right on the seafront, and offers outdoor seating where you can enjoy the atmosphere and sea view. We ordered three portions of gelato, choosing from different flavors: strawberry and dark chocolate, pistachio and strawberry, and caramel and vanilla. The flavors were well-matched, and we found the gelato creamy, enjoyable, and offering a good variety. We washed it all down with a bottle of still mineral water. One aspect we particularly appreciated was the choice of numerous flavors and the ability to sit comfortably at the tables, which makes the place particularly pleasant on summer evenings. The atmosphere is relaxed and typically vacation-like, perfect for ending a stroll through Diamante with a delicious gelato. We spent a total of €19.50 for the three portions of gelato and water. It's certainly not the cheapest you can find, especially considering it's a gelateria, but you also have to take into account the central location and immediate proximity to the sea: in this context, the price seemed understandable. Overall, a great experience. Pierino is a historic and well-known place in Diamante, with a very pleasant location and a fairly wide selection of gelato and sweets. It's definitely a place to stop during a stroll along the seafront, especially in the evening, when the atmosphere is particularly pleasant. A place I would recommend to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a delicious gelato with a sea view and enjoy a bit of relaxation in the heart of Diamante. 🍦🌊✨
