05/04/2026: An hour's wait for a plate of pasta carbonara that was barely adequate. The prices were reasonable, but given the small portions, that's understandable. It was a "primi piatti" as they say, but we didn't want to waste another hour waiting for something else. I don't know if it's because we're tourists, but we were served after all the other tables that arrived after us... Quite disappointed, even very disappointed, for a taverna.

03/04/2026: An exceptional experience. I've been in Italy for 5 days and this is the best value for money I've found. I ordered an exquisite octopus salad, piled high. Everything was outstanding.

26/04/2026: I had two cuoppi for an aperitivo, one seafood and one meat. I recommend the seafood one, but the meat one isn't very good and a bit sparse. We had two spritzes, which were attractively priced at €2. It's a shame they were pre-made from the bottle.

02/04/2026: Lovely couple running the cafe. Not the best English but enjoyable to figure it out through signing and a few words. Reasonably priced too, €3.50 for a wonderful hot chocolate. Definitely recommend. They also collect fridge magnets from all the customers' home city/country, bring one if you can!

Impeccable service, top-notch friendliness, very good coffee, comfortable sofas with a table for breakfast or aperitifs, all in a truly regal atmosphere. Super cleanliness and 10 points for the display case. The counter is always well-stocked with excellent-quality sweet and savory delicacies. For smokers, cigarettes are also available.

01/05/2026: We have been to this restaurant 4x over the past few years. It used to be one of our favorites. Usually reserving a table for our last night in Sorrento. Tonight the food was just OK. My steak was overcooked. We were rushed out of the restaurant because they needed our table of 6. The waiter handling or bill came to the table twice for our bill before we finished our after dinner drinks. We told him we were not done after the first time and he came.back just a few minutes after. In and out in about an hour after spending over 360 euro. My tip reflected the rushed service. Seems like quantity rules now at this place rather than quality. And what was most aggravating was they allowed a guitarist prance around the dining room playing and singing loudly, at your table in your face. And when he was done he came to the table holding a his hat for a tip for the bad loud music that you didn't ask for which ruined your table conversation for 10 minutes. Are you kidding me? I felt like I was on the circus train from Sorrento to Naples. Incredible! Definitely not the high end classy place i remember from a few years ago

14/02/2026: I'd never been to Vineria Altogrado, but for me, it's one of those places that makes you want to return again and again. The staff are courteous and friendly, the food is excellent, and the wine is carefully selected and recommended. If I haven't made myself clear, I'll be back, and above all, I recommend it.
