Al Buco In Vico equense

As always, the pizza and first courses at this restaurant are second to none.

In May, my friend and I got lost in Vico Equense very late at night. The workers of this restaurant saw that we were lost, and they gave us a ride home. This was the sweetest thing someone could've done for us in such a vulnerable moment, especially because we were foreigners. The food was also amazing. We ate there twice and we never left disappointed. Thank you so much to those workers who helped us. May your restaurant always be filled with customers. You guys deserve it.

My husband and I went to this restaurant and received excellent service. Initially, we were going to order takeout, but we decided to stay after being served by a lady with short hair. She was very kind. We ate the mortadella and pistachio pizza, and it was perfect. The tiramisu was also incredible. There weren't any tourists like us; they were locals, which made our dinner authentic and very enjoyable. I recommend it!

During our one-week stay at Vico Equense we had dinner at Al Buco 4 times. Each of us (2 adults, 2 children) enjoyed the food and we really felt welcome. We can recommend the pasta, the pizza, meat and fish, because we tried a lot. The staff was so kind and gave advice concerning starters, sides and wine. In case we return to Vico Equense one day, we will drop in again.

We discovered something new every day for a week. Whether pizza, pasta, or fish – everything was delicious, even for the children. The prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly. Even during peak times, we never had to wait long to be served or receive our food.

The atmosphere is quite pleasant with friendly and fast service. The courtyard is a lovely place to sit. However, the food is only okay.

Wow. What a hidden gem!! We found this restaurant accidentally whilst looking for a light lunch, and it is one of mine and my boyfriend’s favourite places we’ve ever eaten. It has all the best signs of a great authentic Italian restaurant - all Italian customers, a warm interior. Staff were friendly and helpful, food service was quick. Quality of ingredients was incredible, and the portions were generous. If you are in vico equense, for any occasion, come to Al Buco. We will be dining here as many times as humanly possible before we have to leave next week. Better than any fancy or expensive restaurant we’ve tried in vico equense or sorrento. (I can especially recommend the cheese ravioli, the caprese pizza, and the sweet lemon cake dessert)
