An hour's wait for a plate of pasta carbonara that was barely adequate.
The prices were reasonable, but given the small portions, that's understandable.
It was a "primi piatti" as they say, but we didn't want to waste another hour waiting for something else.
I don't know if it's because we're tourists, but we were served after all the other tables that arrived after us... Quite disappointed, even very disappointed, for a taverna.

An exceptional experience. I've been in Italy for 5 days and this is the best value for money I've found. I ordered an exquisite octopus salad, piled high. Everything was outstanding.

We discovered Al Buco quite by chance and were so impressed that we ate there three nights in a row. The pizzas are huge and absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed the pasta, especially the seafood dishes, which were a real highlight for us.
In addition, the house wine was very tasty, and the service was always quick, friendly, and attentive. We especially appreciated that the team made a real effort to speak English with us, which made things much easier.
Overall, this is a restaurant in Vico Equense that we'll definitely want to return to. Highly recommended!

We arrived at the busiest time, but they still found us a table. When a more comfortable table became available, they escorted us to our new spot. We waited a bit, but all our dishes were freshly prepared, even though we'd chosen the daily menu. The dishes are prepared with simple, home-style recipes, yet for this very reason, healthy and easy to digest. The atmosphere is a bit naive, but the kindness and helpfulness of the staff more than make up for it.
