15/01/2025: Siamo stati a cena ieri sera e abbiamo preso un hamburger di maialino nero ma era troppo pepato tanto da coprire il sapore della carne... era l'unico ingrediente che si sentiva, e uno stinco di maiale. È stato servito prima l'hamburger e dopo circa 15 minuti lo stinco... in genere, le portate a tavola, si fanno uscire in contemporanea, il cestino di pane, lo abbiamo dovuto chiedere a cena inoltrata.

30/01/2025: On Saturday we had an aperitif in this bar located on the stairs that lead from Via Scarlatti to the funicular. Internal seats and external dehor. Friendly staff and fast service. Internal bathroom, private and clean. We ordered two Aperol spritzes and they brought us several snacks consisting of chips, olives, lupins and taralli with almonds. A spritz €8, total cost €16. The spritz was good and I recommend the place.

23/12/2024: Nice coffee. reasonable price for the area. Cheerful service. Beware of the lavatories because the lock didn’t work and the couldn’t find a light switch.

05/04/2025: The decline of an institution. Infinite sadness. Thirty years ago Bar Cimmino was a point of reference in Naples: renovated, modern, very popular. The service was attentive, the manager was always attentive and Mrs. Lucia, in charge of desserts, offered pastries of the highest level. An excellent bar. I went back last night, and it was a shock: rude and listless waiters, chairs with holes, dirty and ugly tables. Once a symbol of elegance, today it looks like the worst suburban bar. A heartbreaking decadence. Really a shame.

24/01/2025: Ho appena prenotato tramite app, avevo ordinato una graffa black and white mi è arrivata vuota, cornetto cioccolato e panna completamente freddo e pancakes al pistacchio duri e senza gusto. Sapevo che foste inferiori al cornettone ma non a questi livelli

05/01/2025: Antipasto misto di pesce favoloso. Una frittura di gamberi e calamari che si scioglieva in bocca. Personale cortese e professionale. Posto sul molo, mangi a pochi metri dal mare. Prezzi onesti

30/12/2024: Ottimi piatti di pesce e il personale estremamente cortese. Prezzo adeguato. Consigliato per chiunque scelga un soggiorno a Ischia.

14/03/2025: Small kiosk on Corso di Secondigliano. It also has outdoor chairs and tables, table service costs one euro. Try the cappuccino and croissant which can also be heated in an oven. Fair prices on products. Definitely recommended for a quick break.

27/02/2025: I didn't eat, I can't talk about the food. As a bar it was a good experience, good coffee and great service. The only flaw is the outdoor area, which does not ensure much privacy and if you have to meet for work perhaps it is not ideal: inside the voices are amplified and echo.

23/12/2024: Coffee at the counter €1.20. In my personal opinion - agreeable or not - the price is expensive. If it cost €1.00 it would still be expensive, although understandable given the general increase in prices. But charging as much as €1.20 for a simple coffee taken at the counter and not at the table practically means that what once might have been the tip left on the counter is now imposed directly on you at the cash register. Personal opinion.

27/12/2024: Al Bar n’Ammore e Cafè ho fatto colazione con la mia famiglia. Dopo aver pagato, mi sono accorto che il prezzo di alcuni prodotti (non di tutti) era stato maggiorato rispetto a quello esposto (ad esempio, 5 euro per un maritozzo). Quando ho chiesto spiegazioni, mi è stato detto che i prezzi esposti si riferivano alle consumazioni al bancone. Peccato non averlo saputo prima, visto che, dopo aver ordinato al bancone, sono stato invitato a sedermi al tavolino. Insomma, per pochi euro in più, ho avuto la sgradevole sensazione di essere incappato in una “trappola per turisti”. Tornerò sempre con gioia a Napoli, ma eviterò scrupolosamente di tornare in questo bar.

13/10/2024: I went on a Saturday morning. I ordered 2 coffees for myself and a friend and waited 7 minutes. But not because there were people, just us and one other person at the counter. Instead, the external tables and internally there were no more than 6 tables occupied. Basically poor service. And when we asked the girl who had to make the coffee, she said there are only two of us. And so we had to wait. Incompetent bar management. Poor service. And no coffee at all.

20/11/2024: Terrible experience! I was one of their customers, I bought pastry boxes several times for important dinners. So, they weren't fresh, but who knows how many days ago... thus making a terrible impression on my guests. What's more, I happened to stop by them for a coffee and a brioche. I ask to pay by card, because at that moment I didn't have cash with me. The elderly lady tells me that I should have warned her before that I wanted to pay by card. But first, when will you apologize? You tell me the total, I'll tell you if I want to pay by card or cash. How much in advance should I have notified? As soon as I set foot in the shop? Next, he calls his daughter to make me pay by card. The daughter, she tells me. Look, it's also written here, card payments must be notified in advance. But in your opinion, I come to grab a quick coffee and start reading all your instructions? Absurd, I'll never come again. Both for the poor quality and for your rude behavior. Very kind waiters and also the husband, a very good person. For the rest, I would give zero stars.
