01/03/2026: Back to the past or stuck in the past? I'll start by saying that I've been working in hospitality and welcoming for 10 years in the city where I live, and I know how much effort and sacrifice goes into every little detail. The hotel is in a strategic location, and the parking they provide for guests is a major plus. The dining room, bar, and entertainment staff are fantastic, but I truly believe the building has remained largely unchanged since 1915. The rooms are very old (the first room we were assigned had a poorly maintained shower curtain, which hasn't been used for years for hygiene reasons, at least... luckily, it was replaced). The furnishings are very old (but that's a matter of taste; some like it, some don't). One thing I can't ignore, however, is the cleanliness, which, alas, was terrible. We found hair in the bathroom, in the beds, no vacuum cleaner on the floor... the shower stall was extremely dirty, the shower head was broken... and last but not least, since there was no window in the bathroom, vacuuming was essential, but it didn't work... No mini-fridge to even store a little water... In short, it really has a lot of potential, but it absolutely needs updating, especially since the prices have been updated! Good food! I hope this review can be interpreted as "constructive," aiming to improve and imagining a renewed clientele, who will obviously expect an adaptation to the times we live in.

13/07/2026: Now the meal didn't go quite right. We ordered 2 pizzas, one of which, mushroom and ham, was ordered without ham and a bottle of white wine. The pizzas came quite quickly, but the ham was still in the mushroom pizza, so we returned it. We didn't get the bottle of wine even though we shouted for it several times. The mushroom pizza came back and turned out to be really greasy, had the ham just been moved away? Finally, we ordered two glasses of wine, because delivering the bottle seemed overwhelming even though there were several waiters around us. Our Pescatore pizza didn't satisfy either. The broken shells of the mussel crunched unpleasantly in our teeth. Quite disappointed, we started shouting for the bill several times and getting it too felt just as overwhelming as the bottle of wine. Finally, we decided to leave the entire restaurant because nothing seemed to work. Things finally started happening at the front door and the waiter even ran after us and shouted that the bill had not been paid. After we had spent our time explaining our actions and criticisms, the restaurant started looking for the tables where the customers had been sitting. After waiting and arguing, an older gentleman arrived who had taken our order. He wondered what exactly we were complaining about, you have received what you had ordered. No apology or respect for the treatment we received. We asked for a discount, to which he said that the bill is only €44.50!! We also tried to communicate in Italian, which is helpful, even the language barrier cannot be invoked in this situation. Points for the great views from the roof terrace. We cannot recommend pizzas and bottles of wine at this restaurant. Maybe you will get better service at the street level take away point. That's how it is ☹️

30/06/2026: They said 5 minutes, and we waited 40 minutes on the street at 10:00 PM with 5 kids for 3 Margherita pizzas. They asked for a blanket in an empty restaurant if we wanted to sit after waiting 40 minutes. No excuse. Very disrespectful, and the pizza was uncut. Please don't go, or go for a bad experience. They told us 5 minutes, and instead we waited 40 minutes on the street at 10:00 PM with 5 kids for 3 Margherita pizzas. They asked us to cover ourselves in an empty restaurant if we wanted to sit after waiting 40 minutes. No excuse. Very disrespectful, and the pizza was ENTIRE. Please don't go, or go for a bad experience.

17/05/2026: The welcome wasn't very warm. The young man didn't seem very keen on putting his best foot forward. His English, on the other hand, was fine. After some back-and-forth conversation, his 'cocky behavior' melted away too. The little man on the street who waved us inside was actually very friendly and hospitable. And the waiters at the accompanying restaurant made it a great experience all over again. They really enjoyed their work conjuring up a good atmosphere for their guests. The campsite's location is excellent for a day trip to Pompeii and a day trip to Naples by train. It is less than a 5-minute walk from the small station that takes you to the center of this raw, atmospheric city in 40 minutes. The sanitary facilities are really just barely adequate. You can barely turn around in the shower, let alone keep your clothes dry there. With ACSI, €25 is actually too much, but especially for a city campsite, it is fairly busy.

16/05/2026: The location is amazing, right across the archeological park. The restaurant has great food & service for reasonable pricing. They also have hotel rooms with great AC, beds and parking. They also have spots for campers as well.

03/07/2026: Here's a review that also includes the food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bar delle Rose is a pleasant discovery! The atmosphere is welcoming and well-maintained, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Excellent not only for a coffee or breakfast, but also for lunch: the dishes are prepared with fresh, abundant, and truly delicious ingredients. The service is fast and attentive, and you can sense the passion they put into their work. A place you'll happily return to, whether for a quick break or a lunch with friends. Highly recommended!

23/04/2026: Quality Sunday lunch. We ate really well, from appetizers to dessert. The staff was friendly and professional. We spent a Sunday with the family. We'll be back as soon as we can.

27/02/2026: We ate everything from fried food to sandwiches, and then finished with pizza. 3 for the service, because on a Saturday, understandably, it took them 1.5 hours to deliver the pizza and sandwich, but the appetizer arrived in 3 minutes. We'll be back.

25/04/2026: We're a group of friends who weren't sure where to have dinner late at night. We found this quaint and welcoming pub, and without hesitation, despite the late hour, they were immediately helpful and courteous. They didn't limit our menu choices, offering distinctive and very tasty dishes. The sandwiches feature quality meat and fresh bread, with sophisticated flavors. The staff is friendly and ready to accommodate every request. The restrooms and venue are super clean, and the value for money is excellent. Highly recommended for an evening of good food in a welcoming venue!

25/01/2026: We've been to this place twice, both times for breakfast. We tried some truly delicious desserts. The caramel tiramisu was exceptional. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.

10/07/2026: The location is clean and even nice, like a chalet, but the staff isn't up to par. A waiter who doesn't know much about drinks comes to take your order. I don't think he can figure out what a gin, lemon, Malta, and a gin fizz are. After about 5 minutes, he shows up with a gin fizz (gin, sparkling water, and sour) that isn't a gin fizz but has tonic water, among other things, an Indian gin lemon malfy with a Schweppes. It must be said that everything was served in tall rocks glasses without a slice of lime or orange, not in a tall glass or a chalice. ALL €25 accompanied by 9 appetizers, are you kidding? Now I understand why there's no one there. Do you also call it a bar? I don't recommend it to anyone!!!!

14/05/2026: The bar isn't large and doesn't have any seating at the counter. But there are armchairs outside where you can relax and chat with friends.

09/11/2025: Total disappointment... I ordered a takeout sandwich and was truly disappointed. The sandwich alone, without drinks or portions, cost me €15, and there was no receipt. No sachet ketchup, no customer service, and the quality definitely didn't live up to the price. For comparison, last night at Marano I ordered two takeout sandwiches with two glass Cokes and spent €22 in total, with a much higher quality. This one, however, seemed like a joke. Exorbitant prices and a lack of transparency; I definitely won't order from them again.
