The welcome wasn't very warm. The young man didn't seem very keen on putting his best foot forward. His English, on the other hand, was fine. After some back-and-forth conversation, his 'cocky behavior' melted away too. The little man on the street who waved us inside was actually very friendly and hospitable. And the waiters at the accompanying restaurant made it a great experience all over again. They really enjoyed their work conjuring up a good atmosphere for their guests. The campsite's location is excellent for a day trip to Pompeii and a day trip to Naples by train. It is less than a 5-minute walk from the small station that takes you to the center of this raw, atmospheric city in 40 minutes. The sanitary facilities are really just barely adequate. You can barely turn around in the shower, let alone keep your clothes dry there. With ACSI, €25 is actually too much, but especially for a city campsite, it is fairly busy.

The location is amazing, right across the archeological park. The restaurant has great food & service for reasonable pricing. They also have hotel rooms with great AC, beds and parking. They also have spots for campers as well.

The campsite is adequate, the sanitary facilities are also used by the restaurant, the showers are small and old. The advantage is its location directly opposite the Pompeii excavations.

We arrived here in early April with our fully loaded touring bikes, just passing through. At first, we were briefly unsure at the entrance whether tents and bicycles were allowed, but checking in at reception was absolutely no problem. We got a nice, large pitch all to ourselves, and electricity was available for an extra charge. At €15 per person per night, the price was absolutely fair for this location. The sanitary facilities were in good and clean condition. The location is unbeatable, as the entrance to the archaeological site of Pompeii is directly opposite. Although the railway tracks run right behind the campsite, the wall made it pleasantly quiet, and we weren't disturbed at all. Apparently, there are also rooms for rent, which could be a good alternative. We avoided the campsite's own restaurant, as the pizzerias right next door are a bit cheaper. Overall, a very quiet and enjoyable stay right next to other campsites.

Excellent location for getting around both on the Circumvesuviana and in the direction of Salerno...convenient because it is very close to ancient Pompeii
