22/06/2025: I have not tried the B&B service so I can only give the standard 3 stars which do neither harm nor good. As for the restaurant service, I want to believe that I happened to be there on a Friday which was much busier than usual and that the restaurant was short of people. Many people, including me, waited a long time to be seated, and then waited just as long for their table to be cleaned and their order taken. It must be said that the dining room staff was helpful and courteous. NB: the tables were often shared with strangers, a note not to be interpreted in a negative way, unless you are looking for privacy and intimacy during the meal. Very rich menu, but unfortunately mediocre food and portions that I would not define as generous (you could hear many jokes from the tables next to me about it); however, the pistachio soufflé that I had to sweeten my lunch was good.

11/06/2025: The food was delicious. I ate the 4 formaggi pizza, tiramisu and ananas. The waiter was very kind and he was always willing to assist us. The environment is super calm and quiet. Special for a Rome dinner!

10/06/2025: We weren’t planning to eat here—we were just passing by and the atmosphere pulled us in. It felt like a good risk, and it was. Every single thing we ordered was excellent. We tried different seafood pastas and fish dishes, and everything had depth and balance. The tiramisu was unforgettable—probably the best I’ve had, and I’ve had plenty across Italy. We ended up coming back the same evening for dinner. It was even better. More fish, more pasta, another perfect tiramisu. If we’d had one more day in Lucca, we’d have gone back again without a second thought.

10/06/2025: Decent experience, but with some reservations I had lunch at Ristorante Olivo, right in the center of Lucca, attracted by the central location and the tranquility of the place. The environment is actually pleasant and quiet, ideal for those looking for a break away from the chaos, even if you are in a very busy area. The service was punctual and attentive in its manner, but overall a bit cold. The waiters were correct and helpful, but that warm and personal welcome that makes you feel truly welcome was missing. This detail, as secondary as it may seem, has a great impact on the overall perception of the experience. As for the cuisine, the dishes are well prepared and the food is good. You can perceive a certain attention in the choice of ingredients and in the presentation. However, the quality-price ratio leaves some doubts: the bill was rather high compared to what we actually received, both in terms of quantity and originality of the proposals. Overall, Ristorante Olivo can be a good choice for a quiet lunch in the city center, but there are aspects – such as a warmer atmosphere and a better balance of prices – that could be improved to make the experience truly memorable.

11/11/2024: Dietro ad un passaparola della Zocca emiliana siamo riusciti ad arrivare da Filippo! E che dire…la realtà è stata maggiore della immaginazione: i tajarin,il coniglio,la sua insalatina,la pesca caramellata bastano per inginocchiarsi davanti a questa eccellenza di chef che diventa una persona umile e normale quando passa al tavolo perché vuole sentire le critiche e magari anche due parole sul Blasco per poi dire, grazie di essere stati qui. Circa 310 km ci sono voluti per arrivare ma sicuramente a breve li rifaremo perché meritano la destinazione! Grazie Filippo di questo atelier di arte culinaria!

09/11/2024: Ein Herzlicher Empfang und eine freundliche Aufmerksamkeit den ganzen Abend lang. Wo unsere Italienisch Kenntnisse versiegten, half Filippo in besten Deutsch aus. Wir genossen Kaninchen vom Grill mit besonders zart knusprigen Röstkartoffeln dazu. Da an diesem Abend weniger Gäste da waren, wurde uns als Nachschlag das ganze verbleibende Kaninchen samt Beilagen angeboten welches wir, hungrig vom Radfahren begeistert annahmen. Ich fand dies das beste Essen auf unsrer 5 Tage Piemont Tour.

07/06/2025: Nice concept of a place in a strategic location a stone's throw from the municipal villa, a plus not to be underestimated. Free and paid parking nearby. Kind and helpful staff in explaining how to order. The sandwiches are of excellent quality as is the meat. The bun is also excellent. I would improve the cleaning of the tables a little. Recommended

10/06/2025: If they told me that every Saturday night I could have dinner at 45, I wouldn't hesitate for a second....they have generous catch of the day and the first courses are truly exquisite...the staff is truly kind and helpful and courteous...everyone is very professional! 22/05/2025: Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra cena aquí. El servicio fue atento, y nos recibieron con una pequeña flauta de prosecco. Originalmente íbamos a pedir pescado, pero después de ver el hueso en T a la parrilla en otra mesa, decidimos tener eso. Una excelente elección. La carne estaba deliciosa y danesa con patatas y verduras a la parrilla. Mucha comida para dos.

21/05/2025: Elegimos este restaurante según las opiniones de Trip Advisor. Nuestra experiencia no coincide con las calificaciones favorables. No había mucho que fuera bueno. Estos son algunos aspectos negativos significativos que empañaron nuestra experiencia gastronómica: 1 . Cuando llegamos nos mostraron a una mesa recientemente desalojada. Todavía había copas de vino usadas y una botella de vino en la mesa. Estos fueron empujados al borde de nuestra área. Les pedí que los movieran dos veces y no lo hicieron. Terminé moviéndolos yo mismo. 2 . No nos cuidaron. Tardaron un tiempo en traernos menús. Otro tiempo para tomar nuestra orden. Otra larga espera antes de que llegara la comida. No hay reconocimiento de esto. No te disculpes. 3 . La comida era en el mejor de los casos muy ordinario - nuestra peor comida en un viaje de 5 días a Milán. Tuvimos espaguetis y almejas / cutlet de Milán. Podríamos haberlos cocinado mejor. 4 . La única vez que el camarero nos prestó atención fue cuando entregó la factura. Luego nos preguntó si nos gustaría dejar una propina. Le dije amablemente que el servicio no lo justificaba. No preguntó por qué y no estaba tan interesado. Hay un montón de buenos restaurantes en Milán. No te molestes con esto.

05/07/2025: But what a delicious dinner! Everything was delicious! Exquisite spider crab, not to mention the fried baby octopus with salicornia and the wonderful zero kilometer tomatoes and then the desserts!❤️
