20/04/2026: I visited Taverna Mari in Grottaferrata and had a truly delightful experience. Four of us arrived without a reservation, even quite late at 3:00 PM, and yet we were greeted with great courtesy and helpfulness. A detail we truly appreciated. The restaurant is welcoming, with attention to detail. The staff was kind, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. The dishes were beautifully presented, prepared with quality ingredients, and had an authentic flavor. You could sense their passion for traditional cuisine and the attention to detail in every course. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, considering the level of service and cuisine. A place we'd love to return to and one I recommend to anyone who wants to eat well in the Castelli Romani area. Congratulations!

01/04/2026: Historic pub in Moncalieri. Ever since I discovered it, I always go there when I'm craving a good sandwich. Very friendly staff. For €6, you can get a delicious sandwich. The Tuscan bread used as a base is excellent; you can also substitute ciabatta. The burgers are excellent on the grill. It can get a bit crowded during football matches, but I highly recommend it.

12/04/2026: We stopped by the dairy with the idea of ​​a quick snack. As someone with a gluten intolerance, I asked the staff what they thought was suitable. Without hesitation, they quickly and with extreme kindness and professionalism found a solution. My pancake was spectacular, and the same can be said for the ice cream and fruit juice. Highly recommended, both for the kindness of the staff and the quality and variety of selection! We'll definitely be back!!!

The lady who runs it welcomes us very warmly and recommends the daily specials (pictured), giving us the opportunity to try some unfamiliar local dishes, such as the "mescita": cubes of broccoli, potatoes, and pan-fried croutons. A place I will definitely return to at the first opportunity.

03/04/2026: I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed by this restaurant, which was highly recommended by friends and relatives: what was hot was cold (the mussels), in the mixed fried fish some fish were only cooked on the outside and not on the inside (and I also saw things that shouldn't be there anymore, like the innards), the desserts had obviously been prepared (I hope, since it was Saturday evening) in the morning and not stored properly, they had lost their crunchiness and out of 4 tastings only one was good, we went on the safe side after a disappointing appetizer with spaghetti with clams, the flavor was quite good but very pale spaghetti, almost overcooked, made me doubt whether the pasta was the cheap kind, and given that I paid €120 for two people I don't feel like recommending it. Furthermore, the waiting staff was a whirlwind around the tables, very often without completing any task, empty-handed, with questioning looks and an air of anxiety that I can only explain with the fact that they knew that things weren't going well. Many of the seafood dishes and ingredients were frozen, which made me question friends and family. You go to the beach to eat fresh, local food, not frozen. I'd even see that overly fanciful menu with 'nduja and shrimp, or gorgonzola, for God's sake. It's not to anyone's taste. That said, never again, not even if they offered it to me. I'm sorry.

15/03/2026: Hi, we went for lunch today. I went to the old Bacchus many years ago, we had a great time, I especially remembered the appetizer with its many fresh fish dishes. Nothing remains of those beautiful memories. The place is much larger and even nicer. We had two appetizers and a first course, 0.55 ml of wine, water, and a tiramisu. Instead of two appetizers, they brought one—I repeat, one at a time—small pebble of mashed potatoes, three tiny potato meatballs, then a few pieces of fish in the sauce, mussels that tasted like nothing, and two small shrimp samples. I didn't count how many appetizers there were, but I don't think there were ten as stated on the menu. It's a disgrace, each appetizer costs €30. So €60 for mashed potatoes???? Where's the fish????? Never again

15/04/2026: The restaurant is always busy every day of the week. Top marks in every aspect, excellent yet simple cuisine. The ingredients are of the highest quality. If I could recommend the shrimp tartare, I would wholeheartedly do so. The atmosphere is elegant but not pretentious. Impeccable service, and the kindness and friendliness of the staff are absolutely commendable. The price is more than fair.

15/04/2026: I went to eat at this restaurant on the recommendation of local friends and based on the positive reviews (4.4 stars), but honestly, I can't understand how anyone could like such a place. I'm from Naples, so I'm used to a whole different level of cuisine, but here it's not just about taste: the quality of the products and the condition of the place were truly disappointing. The restaurant was packed despite it being a Tuesday night, but I had a terrible impression from the moment I entered: the place was tiny, tables were packed tightly together, and the smell of food lingered (I left with smelly clothes). There was also a cat at the entrance, which immediately made me consider leaving, but unfortunately it was already 10:00 PM. The place overall seemed unclean and neglected: old and dirty doors, and a single bathroom for men, women, and disabled people, with a decent but barely functioning sink. As for the food, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The appetizer of cured meats, which were supposed to be Tuscan, was absolutely subpar, the portions very small, and above all, unpleasant. The sliced ​​beef, which should be a highlight in Tuscany, was completely tasteless and served very raw, even though I'd asked for it to be medium rare: it wasn't even rare, but practically raw. The side dish (caponata) was also truly awful; I left it all on my plate and even mentioned it. I also left the meat and didn't even ask for it to be cooked more; I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. The wine (a €22 Chianti) only made the experience worse. I didn't order dessert, coffee, or liqueur. In conclusion, the place is small, not very clean, and the food is very low quality. I don't understand how it gets all these positive reviews: if it were possible, I'd give it zero stars instead of one.

As soon as you enter, you sense a warm welcome and attention to detail that make the dining experience special. Service was surprisingly quick, allowing us to enjoy our dishes without long waits, which is always a plus. As for the food, the fillets with porcini mushrooms and vinegar were a true masterpiece. They were cooked perfectly: tender and flavorful, each bite melted in your mouth, enhanced by a wonderful combination of flavors. We paired our meal with a glass of house wine, which proved to be an excellent pairing, further enriching the dining experience. In short, Antica Osteria di Bazzino is a place where Tuscan culinary tradition blends with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area who wants to enjoy a good meal in a charming setting.
