24/08/2025: Avoid it if you still have time. An undrinkable coffee at the bar costs €2.50, and a spritz with stale, crumbled chips costs €7. But the worst thing is that a public establishment doesn't have a bathroom and is being diverted to public restrooms, in 2025, is unacceptable. Fortunately, rudeness is free in this establishment. I hope, for Venice's sake, that foreigners don't think all establishments are like this. The administration should do something. Terrible.

12/08/2025: Contrary to appearances, the canneloni wasn't bad, although a bit artificial. The prices aren't bad for Venice. I don't know why it gets such bad reviews.

24/08/2025: I visited this place some days ago and we ordered two cocktails and the "biggest" platter (as the menu said containing of marinated vegetables, meat and cheese cuts) When the platter arrived (not too quickly) we saw that in fact it wasn't that big, the cheese was cut like it was their last remaining pieces of it and not much in quantity (i also think that they weren't very fresh). When i asked the waitress about the vegetables that were missing, she told me that they were out of them (without having informed us upfront). After some minutes when we kindly told her (even though it wasn't her fault) that we should be having them since we're paying for them, she told me that she was gonna ask the kitchen. Not too soon,the smallest bowl of some canned mushrooms arrived. Concluding, i ask myself, were they bored to serve us in the first place? Don't they care about what they serve? I dont know.

22/08/2025: Possibly the worst aperitif in Italy. Despite the exceptional location, they were unable to make any of the spritzes properly. When we went to pay, they admitted that the Fiori di Mirto spritz was made with blueberry concentrate; the Hugo spritz, despite having the ingredients listed on the menu, had no mention of elderberry (the main ingredient)... and I could go on.

12/07/2025: Siamo finiti in questo ristorante perché era l’unico che aveva disponibilità in zona e leggendo le recensioni positive degli altri clienti abbiamo deciso di provare. È stato letteralmente un incubo. Location terribile, tavoli e sedie di plastica, pavimento sporco, tovagliette e tovaglioli di carta. Servizio inesistente, abbiamo dovuto rincorrere i camerieri sia ad inizio serata, per sapere quale fosse il nostro tavolo, sia alla fine per poter avere il conto (ci hanno consegnato la comanda strappata dal taccuino delle ordinazioni e siamo dovuti andare noi a pagare alla cassa ). Finalmente ci sediamo e solo dopo 15 min arrivano le posate, senza acqua né cesto del pane. Arrivano i due primi piatti ordinati che erano letteralmente insapori, praticamente spaghetti in bianco inzuppati nell’olio alla modica cifra di 22€ (i gamberi che erano sopra non sapevano veramente di nulla). Solo dopo i primi piatti arrivano pane, grissini e acqua, pagata come un’acqua filtrata Culligan in vetro a 3€, e che invece si presenta come una bellissima bottiglia in plastica di San Benedetto. Poi arrivano i secondi, una frittura letteralmente zuppa di olio come si può vedere in foto e un tonno impanato che aveva un sapore sgradevole ed estremamente forte, che non è di certo quello del pesce fresco. Ci siamo alzati di fretta senza ordinare altro, né caffè né dolci. Il prezzo che vedete nello scontrino è addirittura scontato del 20% (sul subtotale, neanche sul totale) grazie alla promozione che era presente su The Fork. Quindi 90€ (che sarebbero stati 109) per due spaghetti in bianco e due secondi praticamente immangiabili. Fate voi.

21/04/2025: Ieri sera domenica 20 aprile ho mangiato al “Quarto Platano” di Vittoria Apuana. Su uno sgabello due focaccine con un buon ripieno (senza esagerare né in qualità né in quantità) e una buona Birra media di buona qualità: mi sono state chieste 22 euro, una enormità. Venerdi 18 aprile alla pizzeria “Al Vecchio Carlino” a Firenze per un Calzone funghi, mozzarella e prosciutto di media qualità, una Birra media e una Birra piccola di media qualità ho speso 15,50 eur. Ero presso il Quartiere Leopolda, attaccato al Centro Congressi La Leopolda, a 100 metri dal Nuovo Teatro Del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, a 400 metri dalla Stazione di S. Maria Novella e a 500 metri dalla omonima Cattedrale, cioè in mezzo a monumenti che tutta Europa conosce. La pizzeria di Firenze ha acquisito un cliente, mentre per i prossimi decenni inviterò amici e conoscenti a superare di slancio questo Bar Ristorante con prezzi improponibili. Ho messo una stella perché non ne potevo mettere zero

14/04/2025: Never again.... after having witnessed a scene on Sunday 13th April from the elderly lady with glasses (always rude) towards one of her colleagues. She was really rude and mean and then in front of the customers. Bad example for those who are learning. We customers at the cash register felt really uncomfortable. From regular customer to lost customer. It's a shame because the coffee is very good but it's who is behind the counter who makes the difference.

09/07/2025: I'm reluctant to give this place a terrible review, even though I consider it a very pleasant establishment in our city. In addition to (in my opinion) exaggerated price increases in recent months, we experienced a very unpleasant experience due to poor service. Despite specifically asking the waitress not to give any food to our dog, she still acted against our wishes. The result: the dog has stomach and intestinal problems, causing serious discomfort for both him and us. I no longer enjoy going there.

27/06/2025: 16 pastries (cannoli) €32, €2 each for all the pastries, little choice and very expensive. Breakfast costs almost as much as lunch... not much parking.

20/07/2025: I should have seen the reviews before I go. There are many restaurants around. I ordered a salad and my husband a pasta. Pasta was small, not enough to satisfy him. My salad was like 1 minute made salad (somebody opened a package of leaves in a dish and another package of smoked salmon on the top. And the price was similar to the others in the area.

10/06/2025: Had dinner while waiting for the plane, and I was surprised by the service first, then by the cuisine that for being at the airport I really did not expect, Cotoletta of real chicken meat not mechanically processed, incredible!!! Served with a suitable side dish ... very good! Only 15 euros and I must say very well spent!

11/01/2025: Appena arrivati a Locorotondo avevamo bisogno di fare colazione e abbiamo trovato subito questa bella caffetteria con posti a sedere sia all'esterno che all'interno. Ci siamo accomodati all'interno: ambiente caldo e confortevole; caffetteria in stile classico con personale cortese e preparato. Siamo stati serviti al tavolo in modo celere e preciso, cornetti e caffè davvero di qualità.

26/08/2025: We stopped by News Cafe after visiting the nearby fountain since we were really hungry. We sat down, ordered food and drinks, and everything seemed fine at first. The waiter (I believe his name was Rakim) placed leather eating mats on the table before bringing our plates, which we thought was standard. However, when the bill arrived, we noticed a surprise charge of €3—just for using those plain placemats. If we hadn’t looked closely, we wouldn’t have realized it at all. It felt sneaky, and I honestly don’t think this was the first time this trick was pulled on customers. The food was okay, not quite up to the usual Italian standard, but the drinks were decent. Because of the unexpected charge and overall experience, we didn’t leave a tip. I'm leaving this review in case the owner would like to reach out for more details—happy to share. My advice: walk a bit further and choose another restaurant.

29/08/2025: Starting from the fact that if you call it a bar-restaurant-pizzeria, you can't just have round bar tables, we ordered pizzas that, just by looking at them, looked frozen. They're not terrible, but they're not €9 (not even close). I also ordered a Fanta that arrived in a glass with 50% ice and a slice of bitter orange—I never asked for anything. So I ordered another Fanta, specifying that I wanted it whole in a glass, and as if for fun, along with the glass I received another glass like the previous one, but empty. The service gets 2 stars instead of 1 only because the waiter was nice.
