Motta In Ferno

June 30, 2026 My flight was significantly delayed, so I treated myself to lunch at this restaurant. Among the various options, I chose the chicken salad (€20.00). Very fast service, the portion was just right, and the chicken was especially good. The atmosphere was nice, but could be improved. I recommend this place.

Ordered these two sandwiches and they were both so salty, we couldn’t finish them. Also tried the “Nutella” croissant - didn’t taste like Nutella - it was too sweet and the croissant a bit dry. Get food before passport control, if you can. There is not much near the gates.

Today at 3pm I had a wonderful time, the staff were exceptional, the quality and courtesy were excellent, the hood was amazing, congratulations on your holiday, it's definitely starting off well.

I travel a lot for work, and here at Motta I get my last good coffee before boarding. The staff here is truly fantastic, and I was very sorry to see how they were treated by a beige-clad hostess after I tried to accommodate her requests. This non-Italian hostess was so young and so unfairly rude that I decided to write this well-deserved praise to the Motta staff for how they handled the unpleasant situation. I returned to this bar very early one morning and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with a lady at the cash register and bar (long black hair and a very contemptuous attitude). She was chatting and joking with some customers in uniform (or were they colleagues, I don't know), making all of us impatient as we were waiting for a coffee ☕️ that was already made under the machine and therefore served almost cold. This lady made me and other customers feel almost "unwanted" as she laughed with these other customers in uniform. Truly unprofessional 🙁

Coffee/ pastry is average, the cafe is very understaffed. The lady cashier is not so pleasant.

Motta Bar at Malpensa is a classic Italian airport café — quick, efficient, and dependable. Perfect for that pre-flight espresso ritual. The coffee is strong and properly Italian. Pastries are fresh, with a good selection of croissants and sweet bites. Service moves fast, especially during busy departure waves, and staff handle the rush with practical efficiency. Seating can be limited during peak hours, but for a quick stop before boarding, it does exactly what it should. Simple, traditional, and reliable — sometimes all you need before a flight is a good espresso and a calm five minutes.
