31/08/2025: The place has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing due to the truly poor service. The waitress was unprofessional and rude, making me feel uncomfortable during my visit. Therefore, it's difficult to recommend the place, which has potential but requires significant improvements in service and attention to detail. For this reason, I'm giving it only one star.

26/07/2025: I spontaneously bought myself an ice cream cone and I was absolutely thrilled, it was delicious!

31/05/2025: We were with my wife this morning, we just wanted two red pizzas. I'm about to order them when a person known to the person who was supposed to serve us comes in, calmly passes in front of us and starts to order. I've never seen such rudeness, I swear they'll never see my money again

13/08/2025: I had to go inside and order, the waitress said nothing, neither good morning nor goodbye, zero receipt, I'll put a cross, even if I don't live here

23/06/2025: Friendly waitress and overall quality and prices as expected. But noise. So much noise. Because they were doing karaoke OUTDOORS!! We couldn't talk and ran away while the howling of those who "sang" resounded throughout the square. We sat down at another bar and the noise was annoying there too, what a place! Never again!

23/07/2025: Like many reviews on here, we got took by the offers at the table. It is a tourist trap and like others on here took the L offered. But our coke was like 4 cokes normally at $3.50€ each so the $17€ is ok if you can drink 4 cokes…lol. Food was very good (2/3 as mine was ok) but also bit on the add ons offered, another $32€ which isn’t really worth it. And the location was great on the patio looking at a 600 year old castle. If you stay at a regular drink and don’t add garlic toast and cheese the price is the same. Be aware of the upgrades they offer and lunch will be a normal price and of good quality.

23/07/2025: Another sad case of getting fooled for not reading the reviews first. A smooth talking waiter lured us to sit at one of the caffe tables. My wife said she wanted an ice cream. He directed her to a window where the ice creams - and the prices - were displayed. She ordered a pistachio ice cream listed at 8 Euro. ( a bit expensive, we thought , but we wanted to treat her) When the bill came, we were charged … 17 Euros. We asked the waiter and he said that 8 euros was the price if we had ordered at the window. As we ordered from him there was another price in another book ( that he told us we should have asked for ???) We travelled to Bolzano and to Merano and never had any such cheap trick pulled on us in any restaurant. For a few extra Euros, do the Dante cafe realize they give a bad name to an entire industry in a certain country ? And the worst of it, they carry the name of the greatest Italian poet. They should change their name to cafe Zanni in order to match their practices.

26/08/2025: The ice cream was excellent, even if a little runny. There wasn't much room to eat at the table.

18/08/2025: I couldn't give a lower rating. Dirty, unkempt place, dirty tables, and no one to clean them. Order refilled three times, even though it was placed on a smartphone! A biblical wait, and the croissants definitely didn't live up to the hype! I'd say this place is one to avoid.

25/07/2025: We had an excellent breakfast, and after some coffees, we asked for glasses of water, which, unbeknownst to us, we were charged a whopping €1 for a single glass. This seems excessive, given that we had already had coffees and weren't expecting a bottle of water. We wouldn't recommend a future visit.

28/06/2025: Nice place being in the square, we had an aperitif but it was quite disappointing... There were 3 of us and they only brought us 2 small pieces of pizza and some chips... We had to ask for the menu because they hadn't brought it to us at the beginning and they immediately asked us for the bill almost as if we wanted to run away without paying... Oh well

24/08/2025: Non-existent service, disoriented waiters, and at least half an hour to order, plus the wait after ordering. Regardless of the number of customers, nothing changes; I won't be returning. (Hire more staff, or pay the existing ones more.)

24/08/2025: Truly terrible management. The staff are just running around aimlessly (very distracted), waiting almost twenty minutes to order, then another fifteen minutes for the food to arrive. I'd like to speak up for the employees, who are most likely underpaid and consequently lacking motivation! It's a real shame that this place is undervalued but has so much potential!

15/06/2025: Excellent value for takeaway salads, coffee and cakes.

02/06/2025: It's been closed for a month without knowing why. Inside and full of cookies and pastries. The tables are in their places. Can someone tell me if it's closed only on Sundays or always?

09/07/2025: Apperol in a plastic glass! For the first time I meet such horror.

29/06/2025: The coffee was over priced at €3. Plus 10% to have the view. The waitress was aggressive and dismissive, as if she didn’t want anyone here. The terrace was practically empty so it’s not like a ‘busy work day’ was stressing her out.

25/08/2025: Not reccomended, you can hear yelling from kitchen, staff is mistreated, saw food getting picked up from floor by owner when i went to the toilet, food isn't very good, just near the port for tourists, didn't recieve bill, nightmare, wrong oders delivered, and pasta that should have been yellow came out white, bathroom disgustingly dirty

24/08/2025: Costa del Sert. They were yelling in the kitchen, and the owner was even swearing at the staff. The waiter was definitely in trouble, or at least pretty out of sync. The recycling bins were inside, clearly visible when going to the bathroom (top quality). The pizzas were raw, the dough was white. We left everything behind. Never ever again! No point in talking about service, etc. Nightmare kitchen. We strongly advise against it!

21/05/2025: La mia esperienza presso questa struttura è stata molto positiva..dolci di buona qualità, vaietá infinita per tutti i gusti. Personale con il sorriso...e disponibile (non sempre scontato in locali con una alta mole il lavoro) ,prezzi non più alti di tante località turistiche...

13/05/2025: Premetto che in qst gelateria ci andavamo spesso e l'ultima volta era stata la domenica prima del 1 maggio. Mente facevo la fila x i gelati, mio marito e mio figlio di 3 anni erano seduti al tavolino e una cameriera è stata urtata da una imbecille (che poi se la rideva) e ha rovesciato un'intera coppa di gelato sulla schiena di mio figlio e sul passeggino. Un disastro, ma ci siamo seduti a mangiare il gelato...poco dopo un'altra cameriera ci ha detto che i tavoli erano solo per la consumazione (come se i gelati non li avessi pagati!). Le ho detto che non soltanto ci avevano gettato il gelato addosso, ma che ci stavano pure cacciando. Ci siamo alzati, mio figlio con il gelato ancora da finire, passeggino sporchissimo. Ovviamente racconterò a tutti l'accaduto e non torneremo mai più lì. Qll in foto è la giacca di mio figlio, lavata 2 volte, che dovrò portare in lavanderia e pagare di tasca mia

18/08/2025: This charming and authentic Italian bar is perfect for enjoying an espresso or cappuccino. The staff is friendly and quick, and the local atmosphere makes for a pleasant coffee break. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

18/06/2025: unfortunately, as far as the apericena is concerned, the service and the quality of food and drinks are constantly declining, reaching the point of being unacceptable in the current state. what a shame, it would take very little, that quality and simple care that once was there but that - despite having given numerous chances - we definitely no longer find.

16/08/2025: Ideal for Tesla stops. Very close. Arrived at opening time. Very good cappuccino. Nice little fruit bowl. Plenty of choices for breakfast or lunch. Outdoor terrace and all the shops in the center :) Luckily it wasn't open yet :) Restrooms nearby and clean at that time.

19/08/2025: The owner was unwelcoming, and she even added a €2 table service charge when we picked up our breakfast. For five minutes, I spent €8.90. Beware of tourists.

02/08/2025: This was our stop for every morning to grab a quick coffees before exploring the city. It’s nothing fancy, but it does the job. The staff is nice and there are a few good breakfast options. The prices are a bit touristy I guess, but for us it worked out well.
