04/05/2026: I stayed and dined at Benito al Bosco, and the experience was truly delightful. The property, nestled in the woods, has an '80s style but is well-maintained and perfectly in keeping with the natural surroundings. To reach it, you travel along narrow roads, which can make crossings with other vehicles a bit tricky, but this is a characteristic of the area, not the property itself, and it also contributes to the place's charm. The entrance is very charming, decorated with numerous photos of famous people (politicians, singers, footballers, actors), which tell the story of the place. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, with clean bathrooms equipped with everything you need. The property has ample parking, with the option, if available, of using some spaces right in front of the entrance. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise: the menu isn't overly extensive but is well-thought out, with both meat and fish options. We tried both options, and the quality was excellent. The capriccio di mare and the pacchero storico were particularly delicious. We also appreciated the variety of breads available. The service was fast, attentive, and above all very friendly. There's also a swimming pool and the option to eat both inside and outside, depending on the season. A truly pleasant stay, made even better by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast wasn't huge, especially on the savory side, but it was still good quality: the crostata and Sacher torte were very good.

02/05/2026: The restaurant is decorated in a 1990s style, but the cuisine is top-notch! The menu isn't overwhelming, allowing guests to choose from a variety of options, all intriguing and never predictable. Service is provided by expert staff who pleasantly guide guests through the menu! We ate fish, and it was all delicious! A well-known and highly regarded restaurant that maintains its reputation.

07/06/2026: A wonderful discovery, we stopped by chance for lunch as soon as we got out of the car and the wonderful aroma of grilled meat wafts from the fireplace as soon as we enter the place. Excellent products and TOP owners. A must stop if you're in the area!!!

19/04/2026: Disappointing, despite the perfect location. Priced higher for a double room with a canal view, but it overlooks a building under renovation. To see the canal, you have to lean out with difficulty. Small room with no character, ordinary wooden furniture, bedspread serving as a blanket, bathroom with a very noisy exhaust fan. Minimal breakfast and service. Unsatisfactory value for money.

17/05/2026: A place with good food, where you set the table and serve yourself. First course and dessert are available at 4 PM, with free water (a great thing). The atmosphere (tables and bathrooms) could use a little more attention.

14/05/2026: No coperto (a.k.a., cover/table charge), which was a really nice bonus. I came here twice during my trip and enjoyed both visits. The first time was around 5:30 PM, when it was still quiet, while the second time around 7:30 PM the restaurant was completely full. The staff were very friendly, and the portions were generous. The overall quality of the food was good, and the roasted potatoes served with the steak were flavorful and soft inside. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable.

12/05/2026: The atmosphere at Greppia is quite nice and convivial. They have an outdoor area as well, though it was too cold for us to use. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and very accommodating for our baby: they provided a high chair and served the baby's food nicely on a plate. However, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The portions were very small and definitely overpriced for the quality. To make matters worse, the desserts were not good either. While the service was pleasant, the meal itself was disappointing and didn't offer good value for money.

23/04/2026: A lovely dinner after a long day enjoying Cinque Terre. We had the octopus to start and the pesto pasta and nero pasta mains. The deconstructed mille feuille and meringue desserts were a nice light finish to the meal.

18/04/2026: We went there because of the high rating on Google. The food wasn't the best, but it looked really nice, better than in pics in Google maps. The owner of a place or the man who works there was really nice, he gave us some information what to see and where to eat in Cagliari, his recommendation which was a nice touch. Although I wouldn't go back there for food.

15/05/2026: A lovely restaurant offering fresh seafood. You're greeted by a well-stocked counter full of seafood specialties, which leads into the restaurant. (Takeout is also available.) There are two dining rooms, one bistro and one restaurant. A daily menu is offered, with various specials. A la carte options include several appetizers and main courses; the first courses are limited and all cost €30. It would be nice to have a few more starters, at different prices. As soon as you order, a small sampler is brought from the kitchen, which is much appreciated. We tried the raw fish, which was excellent in quality and variety; the mixed fried fish, which was good; the spaghetti with mixed seafood; and the soup, which was delicious in flavor and richness. Desserts are offered with coffee. The service is attentive, fast, and friendly. The location is very convenient, just off the Manerbio highway toll booth, and there's plenty of parking. The place is interesting for the quality and selection of fish. Some markups could be revised, but the current market in Lombardy is what it is. Recommended.

01/06/2026: We've been coming here for over 10 years!! For me, it's the best restaurant in Bardolino!! The food, service, and atmosphere are unbeatable!! I eat the Carbonara di Lago every year and I'm looking forward to next week when we're back in Bardolino!
