03/01/2026: Visited in winter. Everything closed.

03/12/2025: Sept 2025 Enjoyed delicious salads and cocktails at the restaurant, while waiting to board our boat. Wait staff was very helpful to advise of gluten free options. Salad was a good size for lunch and came with gluten-free bread (individually packaged). Restaurant was pretty busy ((Friday) and we were lucky to find a table along the outside where we wanted. The restroom facilities were very clean and had friendly attendants. Seems that access to restrooms are free to patrons but maybe others pay small fee.

04/01/2026: WE WAITTED FOR TWO AND A HALF HOURS AND THEN WE WASN'T ABLE TO EAT ANYTHING BUT JUST THE SMALL SANDWICH...

02/12/2025: A welcoming pub with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly service. A good selection of sandwiches and various "fountains" to share with a group. Good food.

05/07/2025: We have been going there for a few years The lagotti are excellent. The price has increased, but it is in line with the quality. The ice creams are not up to the level of the lagotti. The logs, very good. A reference pastry shop

14/02/2026: All in all not bad, well-off, not bad, a little cold in the rooms, it could use some renovation, I recommend it in the summer in the pab area, a little old in the cold room.

29/12/2025: It's hard to understand the satisfaction of customers and those who gave it 5 stars (friends?). The atmosphere is cold; eating with a jacket and scarf is out of the question. It took a long time to receive the order, which also arrived incomplete, citing Wi-Fi connection problems between the kitchen and the restaurant. It could be a good place for a drink or an aperitif, but it's better to stay there because the food isn't their strong point.

03/01/2026: Terrible experience – total disappointment ⭐ We spent New Year's Eve at this place, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The price was absolutely exorbitant for what was served. Personally, I only had the appetizer and five small pasta dishes. The rest of the menu was practically nonexistent: a paltry fried fish dish, so sparse and unappetizing that it was left on the plate. To drink? A splash of sparkling wine, just to say it was there. The panettone to finish? Extremely low quality, it tasted like the two-euro one from the supermarket. For a New Year's Eve party, you expect at least abundance, quality, and respect for customers. Here, however, nothing: ridiculous portions, mediocre quality, and a sky-high bill. I was deeply disappointed. And when will you see me again? An experience not to be repeated, and a place I absolutely do not recommend, especially for important events like New Year's Eve.

13/09/2025: Everything about our experience at l'Orangerie was excellent! The ambiance begins as you approach the restaurant through the the pool area warmly illuminated with candles. We are reminded of the deep history of this special place as we pass by a small section of exposed ancient Roman ruins upon which the Hotel was built. The restaurant staff was highly professional, kind and very attentive. Equally high praise to the Chef and the entire kitchen team for the preparation and presentation of a fantastic culinary experience that pleased us on every level. Grazie mille l'Orangerie!!

30/08/2025: The food was mediocre at best! Service was really bad! We got the vegetarian pasta which was slightly undercooked and the fish with potatoes which was tasting ok but a little chewy. The overall service was horrible! We had 3 different servers asking us for food and each of them had no idea what we had ordered so it was a chaos. It showered last night which is not their fault and to be be fair they moved us to a covered space but only after insisting a few times. There was light flickering on the side which spoilt the whole "vibe" of the "fancy" restaurant. The complimentary bread which we got felt "stale" and "chewy". I would expect to get fresh warm bread when I am paying so much price for the food. They seem to make the food and experience so "pricey" but the experience which they offer in return is terrible! Would not recommend again.

25/01/2026: I had a certain respect for the owners. But I didn't expect that, after my car was stolen outside their pizzeria, they didn't even bother to call me. A total disappointment; they'll never see our faces again.

31/12/2025: I would return only for the PORTOFINO: the latter are really worth it! For the place, friendly and versatile owner, less so the lady who manages the room! We took advantage of the pizza menu, an interesting formula but... the fried appetizer if it is made on site by them can really be a very good thing! Good pizza but on a Saturday evening perhaps... something always goes wrong: the well-cooked ones are good!

13/02/2026: NICE SPOT ! My wife and I stopped here for a few minutes to take in the magnificent view during our bike ride from Salerno to Minori !

08/01/2026: Breathtaking views from every room... Otherwise, it's not worth it: the room was old, cold, uncomfortable, and didn't feel particularly clean. The prices are insane for the service offered.

17/10/2025: A bottle of water costs 9 euros and they don't warn us, they kept warning us about water, in the end it was 63 euros just for water. Lol

14/10/2025: We were looking forward to this Michelin star experience. The tasting menu options like in most Michelin star restaurants locked you into the same courses for the table, but we went ala carte based on options. It was a good dining experience, but not great especially for the price you are paying (~350 euro's per person with drinks).

14/12/2025: Historic and authentic. At Pelosi's, you can feel the true tradition: everything is artisanal, from the pastries to the croissants. The Polish bakery, established since 1921, is simply unmissable. A welcoming and warm place, it's also a popular meeting place for delivery drivers. Convenient parking. A place definitely worth a stop.

19/01/2026: The only blemish on our honeymoon was the restaurant. The owner or waitress was incredibly rude. I even wondered if it was racist. When I was paying, she snatched my money away and spoke angrily. It's been a year since we returned, but I still get angry when I think about this place. I went because of the good reviews, but the food was just okay.

06/01/2026: Tried Chez Black after our tour guide recommended it. I have Celiac and need to eat gluten free. They don’t have many gluten free options but they had the best gnocchi I’ve ever had! They also served me some pre-packaged gluten free bread. I was very happy with my meal. My husband, who does not have any dietary restrictions, enjoyed his meal. The service was fast which was great since we only had an hour and half in town before getting back to our tour bus. Not sure if it was the language barrier but the servers didn’t seem too friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed and nice. It’s located right next to the beach.

22/12/2025: Simply put, the Hotel Cove dei Saraceni is a "luxury" hotel with absolutely no heart! I guess it's all about the mighty dollar. My wife and I made reservations for 4 nights in October and was going to be the last half of our dream trip to Italy. However, as it turns out, with all the obstacles and delays with travelling craziness these days, our flight was cancelled due to electrical issues at 1:00am in the morning and we could not get another flight out until late the next day. This was going to cut off 2 or 3 days of our vacation, so in order to not have a lot of chaos, we decided we would need to cancel and plan for another time. My wife emailed right away to the Hotel Concierge letting them know that our trip had to be cancelled, 4 days prior to our reservation dates. She sent a follow-up request to see if we would get our money back on the unused rooms. No response. I have sent 2 additional requests, now a total of 4 requests, however no response. We just recently retired and our loss was over $5,000, with absolutely no attempt to connect with us! Not even an offer for partial compensation! I think this is highly unethical as I'm sure they redistributed these rooms and still made money on them, since they had 4 days notice. The right thing to do is compensate us if they were able to resell the rooms. Certainly not "luxury" service in any way, shape or form. I would certainly pay attention to this review...and based on several other reviews with the 1 star Ratings, regarding poor cleanliness and in desperate need of updates, I would definitely consider other Hotel options. Italy has so many other alternatives...I would go to a hotel where they have a heart! I have worked at Disney World for 42 years and I can promise you, our resorts don't treat guests anywheres close to this. Hotel Covo dei Saraceni must not be doing that well, if they need our $5000 that much!!

06/09/2025: My review is only for a sorbet, 8 euros for the most tasteless and hard block of ice you will ever find, I highly recommend it to lovers of ice cream.
