23/08/2024: We booked this place with request of the table of the good view, and were promised 1st or 2nd row of the tables by the seaview at 9:30 pm. We paid the deposit of €120 immediately. When we arrived at the restaurant they told us to wait “a little”, after 15 minutes we asked how long we would be waiting, they said 10 minutes. 30 minutes later they kept accepting other customers to the tables and we asked what was going on, they said they didn’t have the table with the view that was promised. We were given the choice to keep waiting or to get the table with no view. NO WORD OF APOLOGY. So we accepted the table with no view (look at the picture with “beautiful view”😂) at 10:15 pm, and ordered a bottle of vine and appetizers. Waiter said that all the food to be ordered at once since the kitchen was closing obviously. Fried cod was good and tomatoes with mozzarella tasted authentic. Seasonal vegetables over the hummus were bad, we only tried it. Eggplant parmigiana was ok. Then we ordered filet mignon and gnocchi which were ok, nothing special. Tiramisu we only had a bite. While we are from New York and menu prices were not shocking for us, i can tell that prices are higher than other places. All i want to say, this place looks attractive from the street, giving you the feeling of the cosy romantic place with good views, and then it turns into a place where drunk teenagers will be noisy by the bar while romantic couples be trying to have a moment 🤣. While paying the bill, waiter asked if everything was ok? I told him that we were given wrong table and delayed 45 minutes, he was like whatever. NO WORD OF APOLOGY 😬😬😬 Skip this place. Beautiful Positano is full of good places with good food and atmosphere.

23/08/2024: we got married in Positano, after our wedding we decided to have our dinner at Il Capitano and let me tell you if you’re looking for un-disturbed views of Positano that go hand-in-hand with incredible service and even better food than do not walk past this place they went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one and we could not recommend this place enough. we want to say a massive thank you to all the staff and management. you made special night even more memorable

06/05/2024: Very nice place beers and drinks quite good excellent prices, I'm only sorry about the food most of the things were frozen (in the photo you can see the pulled pork which isn't pulled pork) I didn't like anything of everything I ate furthermore, no plates or cutlery were served to divide the courses. For the owners I would say give the kitchen a good revolution because the place is beautiful and allows.

01/09/2024: Booked well in advance and requested table on the terrace which was nice. Food was good, but price and special entre was more than most mains and of course you didn't know this, water and wine wasn't always refilled in a timely manner. Declined water and then was asked again and pretty much forced to order 4Euro water, when we had already ordered a full bottle of wine. The most disappointing part of the experience was when paying we were forced to leave a tip with the waiter saying tip cash or card, when we tried to simply pay the bill total the waiter added 10% tip to an already very expensive bill. Considering we had just had dinner at Don Giovanni in positano the night before which had amazing views, no pressure to tip, no water forced or coperto charge was left quite disappointed with the service and the experience at Da Gemma. Next time would try a different restaurant in amalfi.

31/08/2024: We liked it very much, especially because they brought the sea bass after cleaning it, and because of the polite behavior of the waiters, it can definitely be preferred. It is necessary to make a reservation online in advance

11/11/2024: The service and food was totally amazing. Alex who was the front of the house was simply superb. We asked for grilled tuna steak that wasn't on the menu. He made it happen for us and OMG, it was delicious. We tried many restaurants in Sorrento but if you like fresh seafood, Taverna Azzura was our favourite and we would strongly recommend it.

07/09/2024: It's been years since I've been here and it's going to be just as many sincerely..slow service, very slow indeed..for a brachettone I waited 90 minutes..in the meantime the beer had warmed up and from a nice evening it had become very bad..

08/12/2024: It's the second time I've come to this restaurant. I went back last month (it was pretty hot that day). This time it was full outside so we had to sit inside but considering the chaos at the tables outside and the temperature I'd say it was the best choice. I found everything very good but in particular the fried food and the pizza were really delicious.

08/12/2024: First time in Naples, they recommended this place for pizza but I thought I'd find something exceptional that I can't find in my area... instead a good pizza but nothing special Too bad... nice environment and friendly staff.

17/08/2024: Birroteca con ampia scelta di birre e menu simpatico caratterizzato dalle frazioni del Salernitano Fritto con dippers e cheddar accompagnato da porchetta di Ariccia, buono ma il cheddar lasciava un po’ a desiderare Per quanto riguarda il panino, mi aspettavo sinceramente un po’ di più Ma se già accanto ai fritti non c è stato portato nessun piattino, e i panini usciti l’uno dall’ altro a distanza di cinque o sette minuti, c’è ne si poteva andare già per una regola Non mi sono piaciuti ad esempio i fritti per gli stuzzicadenti che erano più per uso dopo un pranzo bensì che appositi per un fritto e invece per quanto riguarda il panino, era composto da due hamburger di qualità non eccezionale dal mio parere, e bacon in quantità (contata) Da tornarci? 14/07/2024: We went to Mary’s da Luigi two nights in a row because the first night was so good. They are located right on the beach with most of their tables outside with a very pretty view. The owner and his son both speak pretty good English and were very accommodating, especially the second night (a Saturday) when they had all the tables reserved to fit us in before a later reservation. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Different people ordered something the second night that someone else had the first night because they liked what they had only a taste of, plus some repeat orders for the same reason. Especially enjoyed were the eggplant parmigiana, squid ink pasta, the two gnocchi dishes, the ravioli, the Nerano spaghetti and the steak. The pistachio and the three layer chocolate cream cakes were also excellent. Highly recommended.

03/12/2024: Very welcoming place, refined environment with an unusual taste with beautiful wooden tables, chairs and prints. The courtesy of the owner is out of the ordinary, an innkeeper from times gone by and of rare kindness and discretion. The food is the undisputed protagonist of the evening, a product that is almost unavailable in the city, presented with care and of excellent quality. Everything was excellent, including the excellent chocolate fondue to close the splendid evening. More than competitive prices. We will return as soon as possible, and I recommend anyone who hasn't tried it to try the excellent fondues of this delicious and historic restaurant

17/11/2024: I have been a customer for many years and I always come back willingly, in my opinion the best sangria I have drunk in Naples. Excellent food, especially the Mexican variations.

20/08/2024: Strategic place in the center of Vomero.. Masterfully followed with care and passion by the owner, the cuisine is very simple but cared for and followed by expert chefs (each dish 🍛 a delicacy), the menu is up to par and the low costs make it a point of reference and the strong point 💪

06/10/2024: We didn't stay there, but we visited for lunch. The facilities were wonderful, impeccably clean, and had a great atmosphere. The host at the front door was so welcoming. Next time I'm in the Amalfi Coast, I will certainly stay here.

03/10/2024: Restaurant in superb location, good food, worse rating because we were 10 minutes before reservation time and they asked us to wait for a table and go out. Maybe rules are rules but it is a little rude … Restaurant was empty and located us at the table should had not be a problem. It is a little against Italian hospitality.

08/08/2024: Restaurant not up to the Michelin star it is "supposed" to have. Having arrived on site after an asphyxiating walk, the place is unreachable in any other way, a disabled person would die missing. Disrespectful. Ambiguous location, we were sitting on the terrace with beach umbrellas overlooking the sea, a non-existent or even terrible view, the only thing visible were two plants, not the sea, as expected. To reach the toilets you have to cross the hotel swimming pool which makes everything even more poorly looked after, not to mention the restrooms. Pitiful service, the guys are inexperienced, inhospitable and not very attentive to the care of the guest, so much so that due to the strong wind some entrée breadsticks fell and the response was "I don't believe it" and they were not replaced. Unacceptable. The food is well plated but the combinations between the courses are not right and disturb the palate. The dessert entrée was even served still frozen, it couldn't be cut with a spoon. Bread is the only acceptable souvenir. Gastroesophageal reflux is probably included in this “magnificent” experience. In conclusion I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy, it's not the first starred experience and hands down I can say that there's nothing starry about it. The price is not worth the trip, everything ruined an evening in Capri that could have been pleasant. Be wary of photos and positive reviews.

19/07/2024: We had an excellent lunch at this restaurant in Ravello on a Friday in July. We didn't have a reservation, but we were still able to get a table immediately and our table had an incredible view of the coast from the dining room. We enjoyed a delicious and relatively affordable light lunch of seafood and eggplant parmesan with local wine. It was incredibly pleasant atmosphere for a meal. I highly recommend dining here.

14/07/2024: Depuis 28 ans que nous y venons chaque année il était temps de donner un avis. C’est peut être la très inutile sophistication de certains concurrents qui nous y pousse. Ici les pâtes ressemblent à des pâtes et le poisson à du poisson. Et c’est bon! Très bon. ..Depuis 28 ans

28/08/2024: Really a stone's throw from the excavations and the center, convenient parking at the back. Themed and well-maintained rooms with everything you need, excellent breakfast in a room on the 4th floor overlooking the excavations. Friendly and helpful staff.

24/08/2024: Really lovely people, I love spending my days at Silver Moon when I’m in Amalfi town. The cocktails, like the staff, are always very generous.
