20/08/2026: ⭐ 1 star A truly disappointing experience. We arrived at 8:00 PM and the restaurant was practically empty, but we were denied a table because, we were told, they were all reserved for guests who had yet to arrive. We even asked if it was possible to have a quick dinner or a table until 9:00 PM, but the answer was that they didn't know what time those with reservations would arrive or when the tables would be available. I completely understand respecting reservations, but seeing an empty restaurant and not even trying to accommodate four guests already present seemed like a truly careless approach to hospitality. In Naples, I'm used to a different idea of ​​hospitality: they at least try to find a solution and feed those who arrive. We left without dinner and with a terrible impression. I wouldn't go back, and based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

23/08/2026: I had dinner just last night, and honestly, it's one of those places I don't think I'll ever return to. Total chaos: constant comings and goings of colleagues, people running here and there... I felt like I was on the Huangjuewan overpass. 😅 The food? Average, nothing special. It's definitely a place that's well-regarded and marketed, but for me, the substance is something else entirely. And considering what they offer, I also find the prices decidedly excessive. In the end, for what I ate and the overall experience, it's not worth it.

04/07/2026: A somewhat disappointing experience. The ingredients were good, but otherwise we weren't satisfied. Very few dishes, but expensive. The worst coffee I've ever had in Naples. The welcome was adequate.

03/07/2026: Excellent food with the best service I received during my trip to Italy. Special mention to the waiter Enzo, who was very attentive and made us feel very comfortable during dinner. He was very calm and polite, which was surprising and a stark contrast to our other experiences in Naples. This dinner will be remembered for a long time. Thank you very much, Enzo!

24/08/2026: Great meal with generous portions and so much flavour. Wait staff were super helpful also. Limoncello Spritz was a highlight also.

22/08/2026: Gave me the wrong wine & then accused me of being in the wrong. Didn’t drink it & still had to pay for it. When I went to pay check the charge was for the incorrect wine too not the one I ordered. Rude service.

02/06/2026: We loved our room overlooking the water so waking up every morning was beautiful looking out the windows. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious and plentiful. I loved sitting by the pool and actively keeping the pigeons away with the mini squirt guns. What we were so impressed about was how well your hotel put on a wedding for 100+. It was so romantic and executed so quickly. The food was delicious and the staff was so attentive. Thank you all so very much! Bravo!!!

16/06/2026: Hidden gem in positano! Beautiful view and beach, right next to the main port away from the crowds. The walk to the hotel is beautiful!

15/06/2026: Extremely clean rooms that are cleaned every day amazing food. It’s located on the beach to the side of main Positano, which makes it a wonderful atmosphere!

04/08/2026: It's my favorite restaurant, a must-see when I go to Pozzuoli. You have everything. Excellent food, both traditional and innovative dishes, both meat and seafood. Courtesy and professionalism in a clean and well-kept environment. Best regards from Goffredo from Procida del Tirreno and Azzurromare. Highly recommended.

12/05/2026: Our lunch consisted of a salad starter, ziti with onion and beef ragu, grilled squid on a salad. Perfection from start to finish. Our server was fantastic. We were seated indoors, which was very comfortable. The tables were nicely separated, so it was easy to have conversation. Highly recommend if you are in Positano.

The tasting menus were very enjoyable, with balanced dishes clearly reflecting the chef's careful attention to detail. I'm very satisfied with the experience. (The only thing I could improve on is reducing the time between courses.)

26/06/2026: A magnificent experience at this restaurant. The attention to detail is incredible, starting with the meticulous presentation of each dish. I was particularly impressed by the oysters served on a bed of fresh rosemary, a creative touch I greatly appreciated. Everything was meticulously crafted, from the choice of cutlery to the elegant arrangement of the dishes. I will definitely return to discover other creations.

05/12/2025: We were guests at Hotel Poseidon and made a reservation at Il Tridente expecting a safe, professional dining experience. Instead, my family endured an incident that could have killed my son, paired with some of the worst behavior I have ever witnessed from a manager in hospitality. We clearly informed the staff that my son has a nut allergy. Despite this, they placed a starter breadbasket on our table with no explanation whatsoever—and it contained nuts. My son took a bite, unknowingly. Only 20 minutes later did a waiter return with a “nut-free” basket and admit the first one had nuts. We had not been told, warned, or advised at any point. I raced up the entire property—multiple elevators and several flights of stairs—to grab his emergency medication. Anyone familiar with allergies knows that within minutes, this mistake could have become deadly. My son’s life was put at risk because the staff failed one of the most basic responsibilities of a restaurant. But what made this experience truly appalling was the manager. His behavior was not just unprofessional—it was shockingly rude, dismissive, defensive, and outright hostile. As I explained what had happened, he repeatedly cut me off, raised his voice, and insisted his staff “would never” make such an error. He acted as if I was the problem for daring to bring up a life-threatening mistake. The waiter himself then stepped in and admitted the truth, proving the manager wrong. Even after being confronted with the facts, the manager still showed zero remorse. No apology. No concern. No accountability. Not even basic human decency while I was shaking and trying to ensure my son was safe. His attitude added a level of emotional distress that was completely unnecessary during an already terrifying situation. For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, this was an absolute disgrace. Mistakes can happen—but the way management chooses to handle them reveals everything about an establishment. And this manager showed a level of arrogance and indifference that is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone one where guests’ lives are at stake. I will never return, and I strongly warn any family with food allergies—or anyone who expects even minimal respect or compassion—to avoid this restaurant entirely. No parent should have to fight with a manager while fearing for their child’s safety.

10/08/2026: Last night, I was searching for a place to eat and quickly realized that many restaurants in the area were already closing for the evening. Fortunately, the wonderful team at Ottomano welcomed me and a friend with genuine kindness and made sure we could still enjoy dinner. And what a dinner it was. The seafood pasta was easily one of the best I have ever had. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the seafood incredibly fresh, and every bite was full of flavor. What made the experience truly special, however, was the warmth of the team. A special thank you to the younger waitress for her friendliness and attentiveness. I was also touched by the kindness of the team's family at a nearby table, who noticed me and my friend were stressed when entering the restaurant and generously offered us their pasta (same order) so we could eat quickly after arriving while the kitchen originally had a bit of a waiting time. The combination of exceptional food and genuine hospitality is what makes Italy so special. Ottomano gave me not only a fantastic meal but also a memorable experience that I will remember for a long time. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Spiaggia dei Maronti.
