07/03/2026: The pizzas arrived almost an hour late and freezing cold, and the Coca-Cola was warm. Totally the opposite.

27/12/2025: Overall, the pizza was good. The only real downside is the takeout service: it arrives at 9:00 PM. It arrived at 9:50 PM.

07/02/2026: I gave it one star, but it doesn't even deserve that. Inside, the dining room smells like fried food, unlike even the worst chip shops in Bangladesh. We ordered a portion of fries (they brought them without salt), some Ascoli olives (they were the frozen ones, that's all), and some potato croquettes, which I think are homemade (and they weren't even bad). Then comes the nightmare... A 4-cheese pizza, a capricciosa pizza, and a baby margherita pizza (for my daughter). The large pizzas look like baby pizzas, and the baby pizza looks like the pizza served at aperitifs, not to mention the toppings. The 4-cheese pizza had everything on it that wasn't cheese, all sticky and flavorless. The capricciosa pizza had 500 grams of that cooked ham that's usually on sale at the worst grocery stores and no one buys because it's now green and smells like a dead corpse! The pizza dough can rival BigBaboo in terms of chewiness! I wonder if even Canavaccuolo in nightmare kitchens can revive this place. THE COOKING BASICS ARE REALLY MISSING.

Well-leavened, thick, and soft dough, quality ingredients: I'm never disappointed! And what about the homemade potato croquettes? Fantastic! Highly recommended.

15/03/2026: I returned after many years with my girlfriend, having fond memories of the past, but after being there twice within several months, I feel (temporarily) like I don't want to return. I could sum it all up as the service being far too disappointing for their standards, as one waiter for that number of diners proved to be far too small. As soon as we were seated, we had to wait several minutes for the menu, which is actually displayed entirely verbally by the staff (I understand not wanting to invest in paper, which can get damaged and is expensive, but then you should get digital tools, which are one-offs). They also do it too quickly and reductively, almost as if they were saying, "Hurry up, I have other things to do." This way, you don't get a clear idea of ​​the prices and what the restaurant actually offers. This lack of staff has also led to some orders being misplaced and service slowing down (two hours for an appetizer, half a meter of pizza, and 14 arrosticini seems insane to me). Otherwise, regarding the quality of the products and the relaxed, informal atmosphere, there's nothing to complain about... CONGRATULATIONS for preserving all of this! Years ago, I went there several times, very happily, but now, given that I've had the same experience twice in a row, several months apart, I don't think I'll be back for a long time.

11/12/2025: What a shame!! We went to this restaurant on New Year's Eve 2024/2025 and New Year's Day, and we had fantastic food. The quality was excellent (although the service was very slow). On Sunday, December 7, we went again, having booked a week in advance. When we arrived, they told us it wasn't possible because the restaurant was full and we'd arrived too late (coming from Rome and with a dog). We'd given 1:30/2:00 PM... disappointed, we left. However, looking around the dining room, you could see annoyed faces, probably due to the slow service... maybe that's why they didn't even offer to wait if a table became available.

27/11/2025: Very bad experience. The bathrooms were rundown, the prices were high, and the food was mediocre. Everyone was rude. Never again.

13/03/2026: Besides being a bar I enjoy stopping in when I'm in Chieti, I now appreciate them even more for tracking me down after I left a bag with my glasses. I'd asked in the wrong place, not knowing the name of the bar, but everything has a purpose...making me feel this immense gratitude for the find. Thank you 💖

27/10/2025: The foodie tour and cooking class with Giulia was outstanding. We toured a flour mill and an organic vineyard, then went back to the masseria to make traditional Abruzzese appetizers, pasta, and cookies. Thank you, Giulia, for a truly memorable and authentic experience; it was a highlight of our trip and will live on in our grateful hearts.

27/09/2025: Dry, cold, and burnt pizza is truly nauseating. The dough is thin and unleavened, it tastes like a frozen pizza (if it's not). Even my dog ​​was disgusted by it!!!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.

09/09/2025: I often come to Ciferni. The ingredients are good quality, the dough varies daily... The prices are generally quite fair. Speaking of what I ate this evening: the pizza was very good, shame about the slightly burnt edge (that's okay, it's more smoky 😋). As for the fries: they're good thanks to the salt; you can tell they make them themselves, but you can also tell they're frozen. This doesn't mean the quality goes down: if the product is good and they freeze it well, the yield remains almost the same, obviously only if it's stored properly and not past a certain date. This was the first time I ate here sitting down, after a long ride from the central station. I was more than satisfied, almost bursting 😄😅. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful: for that alone, I'd recommend coming here! The location isn't the best for several reasons: • the heat (there's no air conditioning, and the fans, unfortunately, aren't enough), • the tables, a bit sticky and worn. The place is well-kept, though, a shame about these details. You can sit inside or outside. For the ambiance, I gave it a 2 ⭐️: in addition to the above, the main issue is parking. It's a huge problem for those who want takeout: you often have to walk a long way uphill if you can't find a spot. That's why I recommend parking and sitting down to eat there instead. If I didn't consider the parking issue, I'd easily give the ambiance a 3.5 ⭐️. Despite these issues, I'm giving it a 4 ⭐️ overall for the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, and because I know it's not easy to manage multiple locations so well. I also appreciate that they offer delivery; it partially solves the location issue. If they fix these details (especially the air conditioning 🥵), this place would be perfect in the future! 01/01/2026: Terrible pinsa Aquilana is not your profession, a drunk staff member who after a two-hour wait doesn't even tell you that the dish is no longer available, distracted waitresses, and clearly the wait to pay was even longer amidst the noise and the staff who don't pay attention to you. The only thing I appreciate is the local ham, which was excellent. The location wasn't bad at all, I can't comment on the cocktails as I didn't have the chance to order them, but overall... DO NOT GO THERE. If there are more than one negative comment, perhaps your performative responses are losing their edge. Instead, acknowledge your shortcomings and try to offer at least decent service. I won't say good because that would be too much to expect given the starting point.

19/11/2025: The pizzas may be good, but I've always had problems with orders. Either they deliver pizzas you didn't order, or they arrive without some toppings, or they do their own thing. One time, my drinks didn't arrive. I called and they even gave me a rude answer. They lost a customer who had already given them several opportunities, but they don't know how to work.
