24/08/2025: I was there just yesterday, August 23, 2025, at 3:31 PM.
A small, simple cherry cone and an ice cream biscuit, not fresh but packaged, for €7. I could have avoided them, but it was a request from my elderly mother.
Overpriced.
The Giolitti ice cream shop in Rome is much less expensive.
23/08/2025: Pizzas €10 each, or rather mini pizzas, a disgrace.

03/02/2026: The place was too noisy, two people couldn't talk. Not enough staff, too rushed! The food?! Nothing special. We were tempted to leave. What can I say?! We spent a day sitting at the table waiting. We definitely won't be back.
03/02/2026: Sunday lunch to forget. We sat down at 1pm and got up at 4pm to eat two appetizers and four first courses. Mediocre food, total disappointment. A full room and only three waiters who, poor things, didn't understand anything. BUT HOW CAN YOU DO IT 🤦♂️GOODBYE you will never see me again. I made a mistake, I should have gotten up and left after the first hour of waiting but I didn't have the courage.

09/11/2025: A small but very welcoming place, decorated with photos of the old Castello. The staff is friendly and ready to explain the various dishes on the menu. The chef is friendly and skilled. There's a wide selection of appetizers, including the cheese and egg balls. The menu also offers a decent selection of first courses, main courses, and side dishes. The wine list is good, especially the Montepulciano di Abruzzo, and the prices are average.
14/10/2025: A welcoming, rustic-style restaurant with beautiful photos and reproductions of paintings by Teofilo Patini. The food was well-prepared. The appetizers and arrosticini were excellent, but everything was delicious.

24/01/2026: Sunday lunch, neither good nor bad... the homemade pasta (chitarra) was good, but the toppings left much to be desired: the ragù was nothing special, and above all, if I ordered polenta with tomato sauce and sausage (which cost a whopping €12!), I expected a sauce made WITH SAUSAGE... I can't get a simple polenta with tomato sauce WITH ROAST SAUSAGE CRUMBLED ON TOP!!! UNACCEPTABLE.
The service was friendly enough, but I still have some doubts about the difference between the prices listed on the menu and the (higher) ones actually paid at the register.

26/09/2025: I think it's a "down-to-earth" place and it's even nice. The gluten-free pizza was good, and the people who ordered the burgers said they were good. The only downside was the news blaring with distressing news, and the bites were hard to swallow. Please, next time, put on some nice music and cheer us up; you've really lowered our spirits with this damn news program.

10/01/2026: A nice and welcoming place, although the smell of frying oil is noticeable upon entry. The menu is captivating, but the problem is the way they serve it and the invisible portions for an exorbitant price. Two hamburgers with different fillings arrived frozen, the meat definitely not of good quality, not to mention the two portions of fries (six in each dish), a bottle of sparkling water for a total of €28, which, while a fair price for two sandwiches and two fries, was empty. The strategic location and, of course, the curiosity to try the renowned chef's "fast food" are the only things that get you wrong! We won't be returning.
10/01/2026: Absolutely avoid!
We went for lunch today.
The place was empty, only three other tables besides us.
Nice place, but you immediately notice the smell of dirty oil.
We decide to sit down anyway.
We order two sandwiches with added potatoes and a water.
What can I say, tiny sandwiches and a "portion" with six sticks of chips...
We touch them and the sandwiches are cold, the burger cold.
We "eat" quickly and leave.
Bill €28.50
A rip-off for having eaten so little and so poorly.
And our clothes still smell bad.

29/12/2025: Colonel's burger was a rip-off! There was almost nothing inside. Meat? There was a tiny, dried-up thing. No lettuce. I was left hungry. A complete and utter mockery. Exactly the same as the photo!!! NEVER AGAIN.

08/11/2025: A wonderful experience at this very welcoming seaside restaurant.
We ordered the raw fish, planning on also having the hot and cold dishes, but we'll be back next time because we were already full after more than 30 courses, all with unique pairings. The fish was definitely fresh, and the cellar offers a wide selection of wines. We also ordered two desserts, which were also delicious... the price was more than fair. We'll definitely be back.
15/09/2025: Excellent restaurant. I will recommend it to everyone in Avezzano. Good food. Friendly and helpful waitresses. Without sulking like in other restaurants. We will definitely be back.

07/09/2025: Good ice cream, but rude and suspicious staff. Dealing with customers is certainly not easy, but you know before you take on certain jobs that if you're not suited to them, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.
20/07/2025: Speaking of ice cream I can only say good things.
But Italy was famous for quality and quantity... this place seems scared to serve enough amount of ice cream in the cups or cones. What a shame...

16/08/2025: Endless wait for a crouton... And the place wasn't even full... I had 2 beers and one was 2 fingers short... Well, honestly, even if the food was decent, in a pub the wait was absurd.

25/06/2025: The service was slow but very friendly and helpful and we had some nice conversation with the waiter.
There was also a cute cat.
But the food was not good.
The appetizers were the best part.
But the pasta was overcooked and bland. You could feel the porcini were frozen (maybe in other places they are also frozen in this time of the year but it can’t be immediately sensed so they are either better kept or bettter seasoned).
The arrostisci were okaish but I bought better ones in the supermarket the next day.
And tiramisu was like gummy-like and had some frozen parts.

28/12/2025: The pizza was really of poor quality, the dough was half raw, I took a breath, the onion was not cooked, instead the bacon was burnt, also seeing the dishes of other people, the pizzas had also been left by others, even at other tables, slow service but at least the staff was polite, the place instead welcoming, the only flaw a little cold
