15/02/2026: I went with several reservations and fairly low expectations. I ordered an appetizer, a pizza, a portion of fries, and water. Overall, the food wasn't bad: the pizza was decent and the appetizer was average. The fries, however, were a bit too greasy, which could definitely be improved. The worst aspect of the experience was the service: the wait was decidedly long, both to order and to receive the food. This slowness significantly impacted the final rating. The bill also seemed slightly above average for the quality offered and the type of restaurant, which isn't located in a busy or particularly touristy area. All in all, an average experience: not exciting, but not to be dismissed either. Just OK.

24/06/2026: The staff were friendly and efficient, though not very empathetic. The place was drab and unattractive, but spacious. The food was good, but nothing more. Everything was clean and welcoming.

11/01/2026: Unfortunately, I have to leave one star for the terrible experience we had. We arrived with a small dog weighing just 1.3 kg, properly transported in its carrier. It's a hypoallergenic toy breed, completely harmless and accustomed to public places. Despite all the precautions, we were denied entry, with no willingness, kindness, or even an alternative solution. I find such a rigid attitude very disappointing, especially considering that in Italy, pets are allowed in public places as long as there are no hygiene or safety risks (as clarified by the Ministry of Health in its guidelines on the presence of animals in public places). Not to mention the owner of the place, an elderly lady with zero tact and empathy. I wonder how she could possibly stay in a place like this. A real shame, because a modicum of humanity would have been enough to avoid such an unpleasant experience. We won't be returning.

11/01/2026: The service leaves much to be desired, and the courtesy is lacking. The pizza is barely edible. The icing on the cake: they don't allow dogs, not even those weighing just 1kg (a toy poodle puppy) in a carrier. The result? A ruined evening, to say the least, and if it hadn't been a birthday party, we would have left... Highly not recommended, never again!

07/06/2026: Right on the main road near the town hall square in Rocca di Mezzo is this small diner and bar with tables inside and outside. There's no table service; you order what you want and bring it to your table yourself. The menu is fairly rustic, with plain or stuffed pizza, a few first courses ranging from lasagna to ravioli or soups, a couple of second courses, and some side dishes. Prices are reasonable, and the food quality is quite good, even though it's still a diner—few items are made to order, and everything is pre-cooked and reheated as needed. Average prices: first course €9, second course €11-12, side dish €4, plain pizza by the slice €2, stuffed pizza €3-4. Overall, I've been there several times, both for pizza and for first courses, second courses, and side dishes. My favorites have been the ricotta and spinach ravioli with tomato sauce, which aren't always available, and the four-cheese pizza and the stewed cabbage. It's perfect for a short stop and has a bathroom for customers that's always clean and tidy.

14/02/2026: Too bad one of the two people doesn't have the interpersonal skills to deal with the public... you can't use the bathroom while you wait for a table to become available. 20 minutes of arguments, compliments, that's how you treat customers!

19/04/2026: We went twice this weekend, Friday evening with nine friends. We enjoyed appetizers, first courses, second courses, and a pizza. Everything was very good, with prompt service. Sunday, we had a family lunch for three. We ate other dishes: fish appetizers we hadn't tried on Friday, fried fish first courses, and desserts. Everything was delicious. We were entertained by the music and a talented singer. We'll definitely be back.

27/05/2026: Terrible management and absurd responses. I ordered a pizza specifically asking for grilled zucchini and eggplant. It arrived with raw zucchini. I called to point this out, and the owner or pizza chef and the girl who answered the phone, instead of apologizing, argued, saying "that's how they do it," and even went so far as to give me the absurd example that "if you go to a seafood restaurant, you don't order meat." Too bad I only asked for a vegetable they already had in the kitchen to be cooked! If a customer makes a specific request—especially for health reasons or pregnancy—you let them know in advance, and you don't respond arrogantly. Zero professionalism." IN RESPONSE TO YOUR ANSWER: I find the attempt to turn things around ridiculous. You don't need a cashier's crystal ball or Merlin to listen to a customer: when I placed the phone order, I clearly specified, word for word, "BOTH GRILLED zucchini and eggplant." If you weren't capable of doing that, you could have just told me right away over the phone instead of accepting the order. Furthermore, you contradict yourself: over the phone, I was told, "We do it this way; if you go to a seafood restaurant, you don't order meat," admitting that they were raw. Now here, you write that they are "finely grated and cooked in the oven." The reality is, they were raw. For a pregnant woman, raw vegetables aren't a whim, but a health risk. Regarding the phone being turned off, I only ended the call after receiving shouting, arrogance, and the absurd suggestion that we wait. Another hour for a second pizza while I was fasting. Kudos to you for the complete lack of empathy, the rudeness, and the decidedly hypocritical final good wishes.

26/05/2026: The owner is really rude and the service is terrible. I ordered a pizza one way and it arrived another way. He was right at all costs and I even had to pay if I didn't want the pizza anymore. Avoid him completely.

05/11/2025: Correct review I remembered this little restaurant as a pleasant place, so after a long time I decided to return. Unfortunately, however, I was greatly disappointed. As soon as we entered, the atmosphere was more reminiscent of a canteen than a restaurant: tables lined up and a sign warning that, given the difficulty in finding staff, the service would not be able to meet all customer needs. The waiter greeted us by saying that "due to Covid," there was no menu, but that he would list it for us verbally (although he could bring us a paper one if we wanted). He then added that the cups were plastic, but he could bring us glass ones if we preferred. At that point, I felt like I was in a Candid Camera! We ate two fried appetizers, a pizza, a pasta dish, and a microscopic slice of watermelon. Total bill: 41 euros. Truly excessive for such a mediocre experience: 12 euros for two supplì and a few chips, for example. I understand the industry's difficulties, but we can't continue to blame Covid on ourselves when the restaurant industry is already restarting and many establishments are committed to offering better service. Here, unfortunately, I found neither quality nor attention, but decidedly outrageous prices. A real shame: they need to get some serious regulation.

25/10/2025: On Saturday night, we had a good thin Roman-style pizza, but the bill was too high, even compared to the menu displayed, with the fable of offering free amaro. Upon closer inspection, the prices also seemed more expensive than the menu displayed (which was already expensive!). A word of advice: the empty restaurant on a Saturday night deserves some reflection and self-criticism.
