06/10/2025: The waiters were good, but in the end the bill wasn't accurate, and when I re-checked it at home, I was in for a nasty surprise. Unless, of course, 5 places, 1 bottle of water, and 1 can of orange soda come to 14 euros. Check your bill before paying and get a retail receipt. I would have left a tip, but I noticed the waiter at the register took care of that.

21/12/2025: Hiroshima mon amour, with its dishes, introduces you to Japanese culture through new flavors and carefully selected ingredients. It's also wonderful to discover the union of Japanese and Italian products, blending in an explosion of flavors and colors. It's a sensory experience I recommend to everyone. The courtesy of the staff and their kindness in providing explanations and even recommending wines is invaluable. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, and it's exactly what you expect when entering this culinary world, where nothing is left to chance, but everything is carefully considered and balanced, and everything is governed by the serenity of Japanese culture. I thank Hiroshima mon amour for taking me on this journey of flavors to a distant land.

29/03/2026: The place is noisy, unfortunately, and also cold (temperature). Very classic. The appetizer was good, but considering the price and the space, it was a bit cramped. Tagliatelle were excellent and plentiful. The scamorza cheese was also good. Park on the street if you can find it, otherwise on a bend 200 meters away.

This is the case with Il Brigante Maino, a rustic restaurant that combines the atmosphere of a mountain hut with the domestic warmth of a family home, creating a casual yet authentic atmosphere. The culinary offerings range from the cornerstones of Abruzzo tradition to more diverse preparations, while maintaining a focus on raw ingredients and their most authentic expression. I sampled the ever-present arrosticini, a true icon of Abruzzo's gastronomic culture. The cooking was well-balanced: the slightly caramelized exterior gave way to juicy, flavorful meat. The roe deer ragù dish was particularly convincing, with the fresh pasta demonstrating excellent cooking resistance and a porous texture capable of absorbing the sauce. The intense yet balanced ragù enhanced the meat's bold character without being overpowering, offering an overall harmonious and satisfying result. The only element that partially dampened the overall harmony was the service, which was rather slow that day. Nothing that compromised the quality of the gastronomic experience. Overall, Il Brigante Maino proved to be a restaurant capable of authentically interpreting Abruzzo's culinary heritage, offering solid dishes, authentic flavors, and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy the mountain air.

Alessandro and his staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. It's the perfect place to stop at the end of the day, enjoy a good glass of wine, and enjoy a relaxing moment with friends. If you're passing by, stop by: you're unlikely to want to just have one glass... because it makes you want to stay longer!

The family atmosphere makes you feel at home from the first moment. Greetings and special thanks to dear Costantino, a rare gem like everything else. Highly recommended.

04/01/2026: We've known the facility since it opened (21 years ago). We come several times a year for both vacations and work. We've recommended it to many friends, acquaintances, and relatives, who have always returned satisfied. We've tried it both summer and winter and left satisfied. It's especially great for families with children and/or seniors. This year, we had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Marco (reception, maintenance man, etc.), who is very helpful, attentive, and responsive. He's always ready to help with any need. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!

21/12/2025: We personally had a great experience. We travel with a little baby and the people (Marco in particular) showed great initiative and did let us feel home. Can't wait to come back, even in winter time.

23/10/2025: We've been to this place several times... since Mrs. Maria passed away, the kindness, service, and courtesy have gone downhill. If I go to dinner and want ice cream, they close at 9:30 PM. Back then, it was open until 11/11:30 AM. You can close.

01/09/2025: It's a given: when you enter, you'll surely find good gelato, tasty and with a wide selection of flavors. I recommend a visit to check it out. Parking nearby and, especially, getting there for those with disabilities can be a challenge. I suggest greater control over space management.

18/03/2026: Rustic atmosphere. Langianese addaver. The pizzas are simple, very moist, made with type 0 flour, soft and fluffy, well-leavened, baked in an electric oven, medium in size, well-topped, good-quality ingredients, very digestible. I highly recommend them.
