25/06/2025: I'm modifying my review from 5 years ago, given the recent absurd prices: A breakfast for two 7 euros? With a croissant that's anything but artisanal? The non plus ultra is the "chocolate" braid (something 10 cm long and 5 cm wide) for 1.80 I think, actual value, I don't know: 60 cents? Come on, is this the center of Pescara or L'Aquila? Exaggerated

20/06/2025: He is always a pain in the ass, but luckily there is Alessandra, the new barista, who together with Donatella sweeten the place with a light of beauty, kindness, and availability. Breakfasts with excellent quality pastries, Illy coffee always superior... What more do you want....

05/10/2025: Stunning place nestled near the river, excellent cuisine, the only thing is the portions are really small, the parmigiana was really a taste the size of a spoon, an aubergine but even half more doesn't cost you anything, especially since it costs 8 euros... It's a shame to see a beautiful place get lost for this nonsense.

08/11/2025: I ordered pizzas for delivery at 6:00 PM, asking for them to be delivered by 8:00 PM. It was a birthday party. The pizzas arrived 30 minutes late (8:30 PM), and I paid the delivery guy. Once we got home, we realized they'd forgotten one of the pizzas, and it was the birthday girl's. After calling, they fixed the mix-up, of course, but the missing pizza didn't arrive until 9:00 PM. I would have understood better if it had been a Saturday night, but on a Wednesday night, I think that between the well-advanced order, the late delivery, and the forgotten pizza, the service was absolutely subpar. I'm sorry.

28/08/2025: We ate at this restaurant at the recommendation of the owner of the apartment where we're staying, and we can say we were truly satisfied. We had an appetizer and three pizzas, one of which was for our daughter, and it arrived practically minutes after we ordered. Everything was truly delicious! We were greeted with kindness and helpfulness. Mr. Tony came to our table and was truly an excellent host. The ladies who took our order and brought the food to our table were incredibly sweet and kind. Congratulations!

14/08/2025: Great experience! The place is welcoming and well-maintained. The staff is truly friendly, and one of the owners is passionate about local history. We're three people, and we've been there twice: the first time we had two pizzas and a burger. What can I say, the best pizzas we've ever eaten. The "Appruzzium" in particular is truly remarkable! The burger is also delicious, not just the meat and bread, but also the toppings: the Montepulciano mayonnaise is exquisite. The second time, however, we came back specifically for the pizza, because it's truly worth it. Thin, light, and crispy dough, and excellent, high-quality ingredients. Both times, it was paired with an excellent local Cerasuolo. Worth noting is that each dish on the menu comes with a craft beer or wine to pair with it. The price is perfectly in line. Overall, a great experience; if we're ever in Ortona again, we'll definitely be back!

26/07/2025: A vacation at Camping Borghetti requires a great deal of adaptability. I found the bungalow clean but very dated, with all sorts of problems. The shower curtain was missing, the bathroom drain clogged, the boiler constantly shutting off: these are just a few of the issues I encountered. The staff is very kind and helpful, and the location is excellent, practically steps from the sea. It's a shame they pay so little attention to detail. For what I found, the price is quite high.

12/07/2025: Here's one of those places you don't expect, partly due to your ignorance, partly because perhaps, as often happens in Italy, cultural heritage isn't given the due prominence. A charming piece of majolica history, explained with great clarity and charm by Fabrizio, who accompanied and guided us through the museum. It's definitely worth a visit if you come to Castelli!

31/10/2025: Unfortunately I can't give zero stars but I would. Poor service and employees.

28/10/2025: Much worse. At 10 pm they start taking everything off your table even if you haven't finished. I was finishing the last rolls while everyone else had their plates and glasses taken away with wine still inside. I paid for the wine off the menu. You have to leave by 10:30 pm even if you haven't finished. The waiters look at you suspiciously and are in a hurry. I don't recommend it and I won't be going back.

30/10/2025: LOCATION AND TOP CHEF, BUT IN THE DINING ROOM... The entire building has been expertly renovated, respecting local traditions such as the use of local stone and antique wood, and even the roof structure is based on the original. The staff are very kind and hardworking. The problem is the lady who takes orders, who doesn't give guests the freedom to choose what to eat first or after, but must be in strict order according to the menu. Incredible! In fact, the dishes arrived "in batches," subverting the basic restaurant rule according to which all diners must be served at the same time. Some people saw others eating. They even forgot a second course. Some even ate alone in the end. The wine list is good and honest, even if it lacks vintages and alcohol content. There are no asterisks on the menu, such as the truffle, which is frozen (but good). The desserts are good. With water, a good Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, desserts, and coffee, €52 per person. Correct. The chef's skill is excellent. The French Fries are also amazing, earning an A+, but they can ONLY be enjoyed as a side dish, otherwise it's impossible! It's a shame about the rude inhospitality of the lady in the dining room; otherwise, it would definitely deserve a top score.

26/10/2025: Excellent food and quality ingredients, and if you have the opportunity to chat with Osvaldo and Antonella, you can sense the passion and dedication they put into creating this establishment. Everything is well-kept, the presentation of the dishes is excellent, the bill is excellent, and the wine list is good quality and the value is excellent. We spent €50 per person, but we left with a smile and satisfaction. Thank you, we'll be back.
