15/04/2026: A perfect blend of tradition, food, warmth, and authenticity! If I lived in Cortona, I'd eat there every day! Every dish was masterfully prepared. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially for the abundance of dishes. A special thanks to Michela, who accompanied us with warmth and kindness on this experience, which we absolutely must repeat! 🔝

12/04/2026: Excellent hospitality. Everything I ordered was delicious. The wild boar bresaola was truly tender. A plate of mixed pecorino cheeses was truly special. Truly exceptional smoked pici and a very good tagliata, cooked to perfection and with the flavor and color clearly indicative of high-quality breeding. The side dish of sautéed mushrooms was flavorful. The Cortona Syrah, "il Castagno," was excellent.

25/04/2026: We were thrilled for this experience and walked away satisfied. The food & wine was everything you'd expect from a 3-star restaurant. What was missing was the story behind each dish - or the explanation of what we were being served. I've come to expect an in-depth description of each dish and was let down by the limited information provided throughout our tasting menu. The atmosphere was comfortable, clean, and spacious enough - we were seated in a small space with three two-person tables. The balcony in this room opened up to the ground floor where a large group was dining and being extremely loud. I hoped management would have caught this and amended it for the sake of other guests but it did not happen. Lastly, a wine glass was broken by a staff member on my table spilling liquid across my dish and my lap. It was a rough-and-tumble dining experience for a 3-star restaurant.

23/04/2026: We were 9 people to celebrate special occasion. We loved it.

02/04/2026: We opted for the four-course menu. The staff were incredibly friendly, the setting beautiful, and the cuisine refined and full of flavor. However, I can't give it five stars because the portions were insufficient, and I left still feeling hungry 😐

23/03/2026: Great experience, the dishes were excellent and very tasty.

05/04/2026: We are lucky to have a restaurant such as this close to where we live. The food is "ottimo" and the "Borromeo" Chianti Classico riserva 2021 from the own estate is a delicious very well made powerhouse. Service, the beautifully laid out ristorante, everything is totally on par and tasteful. Next time it will be a bit warmer, so then we will dine outdoors: we will also be able to enjoy the beautiful views of the valley. For the 30th of may we have already booked a "pranzo" and a tasting of the estate wines to enjoy with the family that is coming over from NL and the USA. This was (and will be) the ultimate Italian (dining) experience!

29/03/2026: My husband and I just stayed 5 nights here in March and wow, wow, wow!! We are so impressed with the service, the stay, and the views! The rooms were so beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating — Claudia helped with breakfast each morning and always was so kind in setting up a table on the patio for us and making our coffees, and the staff were kind to give us silverware and plates for some snacks we had brought back. Breakfast always had plenty of options and fresh pastries, fruits, eggs, etc. We absolutely hope to return again one day. Also can’t say enough about the location - very central and convenient for day trips into Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and other surrounding towns. San Casciano in Val di Pesa is also a lovely town with everything you need - grocery, gelato, restaurants, etc! The restaurant wasn’t open for the season yet, so we will HAVE to come back!!!

15/03/2026: Incredible restaurant, staff were extremely generous and accommodating and gave us an experience well above and beyond what was expected — a standard 3 courses ended up being more like 8 with celebratory desserts prepared for both occasions we were celebrating. Allow 3 hours+ (even for a simple a la carte) so as not to rush.

15/01/2026: We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Borgo San Jacopo for my husband’s birthday back in October. The restaurant itself is both cozy and beautiful and the service was attentive without feeling like someone was hovering over you all evening. We were given the option of ordering a la carte or a choice of 3 tasting menus with the caveat that if you choose a tasting menu the whole table must choose the same one. We went with a tasting menu and really loved the number of courses that it allowed us to sample. Favorite dishes were the ricotta snack, risotto with meatballs, the lamb loin and the salted caramel peanut bonbon at the end. The mushroom ice cream that was served with the crudités was very interesting and we also loved the house made olive oil. They really made my husband’s birthday feel special and it was one of our best meals in Italy.

15/03/2026: Their paninis are definitely worth trying; the customer service is amazing, offering samples of their cold cuts so you can choose your favorite. 100% recommended.

12/03/2026: This is a place where you have to mix and match the ingredients yourself. That means if you fail at combining them, it might actually taste terrible. Don't add the spicy sauce... though the bread was delicious. Also, a panini costs 12 euros.

19/04/2026: Excellent value for money...super friendly owners...absolutely worth a try, you won't be disappointed...from starter to dessert, everything is excellent...ok, after a few years of coming, the quality and service are always top notch, the management is wonderful...well done guys/girls

09/04/2026: I ate here a few months ago, but I enjoyed it so much that I thought it was only right to give it a shoutout. The location is a proper restaurant, truly beautiful, and the quality of the food isn't my cup of tea. The waiters were extremely friendly. NB: Since it was a quiet evening, they even offered us a couple of freebies and a discount on the total, a truly rare gesture these days, so much appreciated.

06/04/2026: We had lunch at the Lamole restaurant for a birthday. We arrived late, with 9 slightly nervous and hungry children 😅, yet we were greeted with the utmost kindness! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, from the first to the last! We were able to accommodate all our requests, even the most unusual ones, with courtesy and friendliness! Because there were so many of us, we tried so many different dishes, and everyone was satisfied! Everything was delicious, high-quality, and served on time, which is not a given! 5 full stars for everything! A BEAUTIFUL, WELCOMING place with great food, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

06/04/2026: Craving lunch out of town...so I started looking for a nice little restaurant in Chianti. I found this place, which I have to say satisfied me in every way: super kind, attentive, and knowledgeable staff! Especially when it came to helping me choose the wine (they have over 300 labels available). The food was pretty easy, as we already had a clear idea 🥩. The price was in line with what we ate and drank, no complaints. Recommended, and when we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back!

09/04/2026: Excellent food, high-quality ingredients, attentive but unobtrusive service, and highly trained staff. Romantic Friday Night is exactly what the name suggests. A pleasant evening with soft background music and dim lighting.

12/04/2026: A welcoming atmosphere, very friendly staff, and a menu featuring truly delicate and refined classic dishes, along with an excellent wine selection; I always return here when I want to enjoy excellent Tuscan cuisine.

04/04/2026: We visited today with our dog and were absolutely delighted. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive – we felt right at home. The menu is varied and really makes you want to try everything. All our dishes were excellent, especially the Bistecca Fiorentina, which was simply amazing – perfect and incredibly delicious – the best we've ever had! A real highlight at the end: the dessert, made by the owner's mother herself – definitely try it, it's worth it! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – we will definitely be back and highly recommend it!
