20/07/2026: It's a little place that's close to my heart. Tradition is the most authentic taste. I'm taking away from this weekend in Cortona beautiful memories, flavors, and images, including this place. I can't help but mention the ladies in the dining room. They're kinder than I've ever encountered in a while. Truly extraordinary. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again, infinitely.

15/07/2026: Very nice lovely traditional Italian restaurant. The service is extremely friendly and quite fast. The food is very good, of high quality and well presented. The price of the food is very reasonable.

11/05/2026: A lot of the other reviews of this place are pretty much spot on. It's too expensive for what it is, the dining areas are way too quiet, but the service is exceptional. Spend your money somewhere else.

25/04/2026: We were thrilled for this experience and walked away satisfied. The food & wine was everything you'd expect from a 3-star restaurant. What was missing was the story behind each dish - or the explanation of what we were being served. I've come to expect an in-depth description of each dish and was let down by the limited information provided throughout our tasting menu. The atmosphere was comfortable, clean, and spacious enough - we were seated in a small space with three two-person tables. The balcony in this room opened up to the ground floor where a large group was dining and being extremely loud. I hoped management would have caught this and amended it for the sake of other guests but it did not happen. Lastly, a wine glass was broken by a staff member on my table spilling liquid across my dish and my lap. It was a rough-and-tumble dining experience for a 3-star restaurant.

03/07/2026: IO Osteria Personale delivered one of the best meals of our Italy trip — inventive, precise cooking with genuine personality. A roasted watermelon amuse-bouche opened things on a delightfully unexpected note. We started with the steak tartare (roasted corn cream, chimichurri, fried capers) and the roasted Roman salad, both excellent, then moved to the smoked-butter risotto and the garlic-and-chili spaghetti with raw pink shrimp — both beautifully executed. The roasted octopus and the pigeon were the standouts to finish, and our two young daughters were completely won over by the pigeon, which says something about how approachable the kitchen makes even ambitious dishes. The salted popcorn ice cream (toffee, smoked tea crumble, dark chocolate ganache) closed the night on a high — the girls raved about it. We paired the meal with a Tenuta di Montefoscoli "Vacevoli," a coastal Tuscan white that matched perfectly. Warm, attentive service and an intimate room made it feel special from start to finish. If you want something beyond the tourist-trail trattorias in Florence, come here. Highly recommended.

20/06/2026: Food is delicious, great wine selection, nice staff. Great experience overall, would definitely come back.

05/04/2026: We are lucky to have a restaurant such as this close to where we live. The food is "ottimo" and the "Borromeo" Chianti Classico riserva 2021 from the own estate is a delicious very well made powerhouse. Service, the beautifully laid out ristorante, everything is totally on par and tasteful. Next time it will be a bit warmer, so then we will dine outdoors: we will also be able to enjoy the beautiful views of the valley. For the 30th of may we have already booked a "pranzo" and a tasting of the estate wines to enjoy with the family that is coming over from NL and the USA. This was (and will be) the ultimate Italian (dining) experience!

29/03/2026: My husband and I just stayed 5 nights here in March and wow, wow, wow!! We are so impressed with the service, the stay, and the views! The rooms were so beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating — Claudia helped with breakfast each morning and always was so kind in setting up a table on the patio for us and making our coffees, and the staff were kind to give us silverware and plates for some snacks we had brought back. Breakfast always had plenty of options and fresh pastries, fruits, eggs, etc. We absolutely hope to return again one day. Also can’t say enough about the location - very central and convenient for day trips into Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and other surrounding towns. San Casciano in Val di Pesa is also a lovely town with everything you need - grocery, gelato, restaurants, etc! The restaurant wasn’t open for the season yet, so we will HAVE to come back!!!

02/05/2026: Celebrated my birthday at Borgo San Jacopo simply unforgettable. Stunning views, flawless service, and exceptional food. The food… simply outstanding. Each dish is beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, combining creativity with authentic Italian flavors. Every bite feels like a celebration in itself. A perfect blend of elegance and emotion. Truly world-class.

The service was equally impressive; the staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and professional without ever being intrusive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is simply beautiful—elegant, inviting, and perfectly balanced for a memorable evening. Everything came together flawlessly. Highly recommended.

12/05/2026: Delicious paninis and great service! The staff welcomed us at the door, gave us samples and recommendations for the meats and cheeses, and we asked them to add their recommended toppings on one of our sandwiches and it was delicious!! We got two paninis and really enjoyed the walnut grain bread and stracciatella. I would ask the staff for their recommendations and let them choose the toppings! Super filling and flavorful!

11/05/2026: Don’t sleep on this place just because it’s right next to the Duomo in a touristy spot. If you want to have the best sandwich of your life, this is the only panini shop you need to go to! If you’re scrolling Instagram or YouTube or just browsing Google Maps looking for the right sandwich shop, look no further. Panini Toscani will change your life. They let you sample the cheese and meats before you pick, you get to assemble your own sandwich, and everything is delicious. Service is also impeccable, especially for such a small shop. It’s no wonder the feature high on most influencers’ lists!

17/07/2026: A great experience at this restaurant, where everything is taken care of: from the service, to the ambiance, to the quality food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended, and kudos to the family management.

11/07/2026: It's a good restaurant, quite well-known in the area. Its fame dates back to the 1970s. However, the current staff lives up to its former reputation and doesn't make us miss the old Appennino.

10/05/2026: We came on a recommendation and absolutely loved the experience. Ask for ALDO, he understands Portuguese perfectly and treated us with great kindness. The food was wonderful, we ordered carbonara and Florentine steak. Everything was perfect 👏🏼

29/06/2026: We stayed for two days in Florence. I was very lucky indeed to figure out this small and exquisite restaurant. One of the best seafood pasta i've ever had. The service was formidable too. Next time i will bring more time to enjoy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

28/06/2026: This was one of the best experiences we've had in Florence. We had a group of 3 people. Owner super nice and 10/10 customers service. Now I now why they have Michelin every years.highly recommend this place. My last day in here I wish I can find this restaurant earlier than I can try all their food.love this place. Love people on here. MUST TRY. Good food and very good prices.

11/05/2026: Nice restaurant, a little too close to the road, which is annoying when cars pass by, but fortunately there aren't many. Wide selection, a bit touristy, considering that they also feature truffle and porcini mushroom dishes, served year-round. Average prices. The staff were friendly and smiling, making it a pleasure to spend a few hours at this restaurant for lunch.

25/07/2026: We went there for lunch today, a truly unique little place, excellent food, very knowledgeable staff, an experience to repeat.

25/07/2026: We found it a bit pricey: 2 Aperol Spritz, 1 osso buco (just the piece of meat with caramelized onions on top), a portion of potato that you have to pay extra for with the osso buco, and 1 risotto for €71. But on the other hand, it was good...

08/08/2026: This place left us speechless. The food was truly sublime; you could taste the love and care put into every flavor on the plate. Nonna Tosca's ragù was unique, and the cacio e pepe with pears and truffle was truly indescribable. We then had the chocolate cake, which melted in our mouths. The service was attentive and friendly, and the location was very pretty and relaxing (especially the outdoor area). I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant; you won't regret it.

05/08/2026: Great ravioli with fresh pear and truffle, steak and portatoes and the best red wine during our 3 week stay in Italy! My fourth visit in 18 years.
