This is a Michelin star restaurant.
I’d probably rate this as one of the top 15 meals we’ve ever had.
We did the chef’s tasting with the wine pairing and had an exquisite meal. They served us six courses overall plus some extras.
Wonderful Amuse-bouche to start with several very light appetizers, seafood and pasta courses. The finale was the dessert box which was a-maz-ing. We opted for the “unique wine pairing” because of its uniqueness and were not disappointed. Sommelier was wonderful.
Service was what you’d expect from the Four Seasons. Lobster was best I’ve ever had. Overall the whole meal was a 10, simple and wonderful with a strong focus on regional favorites.
1 small suggestion: We wish there was a more complete cocktail menu. Its fun to get a list beyond martini and Bellini. But if you like the classics or know exactly what you want, bar service was exceptional. Everything was perfectly prepared, we just prefer to try new things.

Excellent service, spectacular atmosphere, however the kitchen, despite being good, is not a wow factor. In my opinion, it lacks something different to deserve the star it has.

In my opinion this restaurant deserves at least two Michelin stars.
I won't focus on the environment because everything inside a Four Seasons is always top notch, nor on the service which follows the same consideration.
Instead, I focus on a cuisine that far exceeded our expectations.
The gnocchi "like a cacciucco" are very good, the sea bass "wellington style" is unforgettable, one of the 5 best dishes I have tasted in my life (and I have frequented many restaurants).
In my opinion the best starred restaurant (including three-starred) in Florence.

Sono stata in questo posto per fare il brunch durante le feste natalizie. C’è una grandissima varietà di cibo di buona qualità. Si può mangiare di tutto, dall’antipasto al dolce, dalla carne al pesce, dal crudo al cotto. Vino illimitato sia bianco che rosso, servito continuamente dal personale. Musica dal vivo. Il prezzo non è economico ma ne vale la pena.

Siamo tornati nuovamente al brunch domenicale, la prima volta dopo l'arrivederci di Mollica.
La temperatura nella sala del Palagio è bassa, nell'atrium bar ancora di più, il che rende il pasto poco confortevole.
Il buffet è più ristretto del passato (parlo soprattutto delle pietanze calde servite in cucina), anche se il crudo è sempre da applausi così come gli affettati, il maialino e la pluma.
Da rivedere i primi caldi, 4 in tutto: non si possono servire cannelloni secchi e pasta pasticciata al salmone!
I dolci eccellenti.
Il personale di sala alle volte sembra spaesato (abbiamo dovuto chiedere più volte le posate e le bevande), molto gentile ma traspare una certa stanchezza.
L'executive chef è presente ma si preoccupa più di seguire la sua brigata che i commensali, peccato perchè sarebbe stato carino sincerarsi dell'andamento del pranzo.
Vale i 120 € a testa? Nì.
Daremo un'altra chance? Forse.

The environment is fantastic! I love this hotel, it's like a wonderland. But I have to say that the food seems to be a decoration of this hotel.

Delicious for vegetarians! We had the smaller tasting menu with an extra white truffle pasta course because we figured the chefs could source the best truffles. That was completely correct, and the olive oil was stunning too. I unfortunately forget the sommelier's name, but based off my preferences, he recommended a lovely Barbaresco wine with the most beautiful garnet colour. All the staff were attentive and warm. What makes the dinner at Il Palagio particularly memorable was the Nepalese coffee at the end prepared at the table. It was a unique experience to watch the grinding and rather Victorian steam-punk meets Breaking-Bad brewing apparatus.

We spent a wonderful evening for my girlfriend’s birthday. The food was memorable (the risotto especially was stunning) and the service excellent. We will not forget the experience and would gladly come back !
