19/09/2025: It can’t get any better than this! Located in the heart of Cortona but still off the beaten track, this restaurant convinced us with delicious and authentic Tuscan cuisine. The staff members were welcoming and very attentive. Although they were fully booked, we still got a table outside close to the entrance where we could have a view of the alley.

17/09/2025: This is one of many locations for eating lunch or dinner in Cortona, Italy. Yet, this restaurant is one you should not miss. The location is away from but not far from tourists centers and attractions making it quiet and easy. The atmosphere is stylish, bright and well appointed with decorations inside. And, outside there are several small tables on an entrance patio. The wine list is exhaustingly long so ask for recommendations. The food is superb and I would recommend: Patate al Rosemary and Cipolla for sides then a Bistecca Fiorent (T-bone 2 lb) to split between 2 people for the main. Save room for splitting the Charlot Mascarpone. The service is attentive, polite, and knowledgeable.

27/08/2025: Nestled in the green countryside, this agriturismo is a true haven of peace. We were immediately greeted with warm hospitality by the always smiling and helpful staff, who made us feel right at home. Traditional dishes are prepared with genuine, home-grown ingredients, particularly the meats sourced directly from their own pasture-raised animals. The rustic, family-friendly atmosphere, combined with the quality of the produce and the beauty of the surrounding landscape, make this a perfect destination for those seeking authenticity, relaxation, and good food. We will definitely be returning for more time to try the pool. Thank you!!!

25/08/2025: Beautiful location. We were passing through and stopped in, but unfortunately, since we didn't book, we couldn't have lunch. They didn't accept outsiders. The place piqued our curiosity, though.

15/09/2025: The restaurant is very well-maintained and elegant, and the service is courteous and attentive. I found the cured meats for the appetizer excellent, and the Florentine steak tender and juicy. The menu features fresh, select seasonal ingredients. The wine list is lovely. If I'm passing through Sansepolcro, I'd gladly return!

11/09/2025: Traveling with my wife, we made a quick stop at Al Coccio restaurant. Even though we hadn't booked, we were warmly welcomed into an elegant setting. We ordered two excellent first courses. Recommended.

03/09/2025: Can you travel to a small, non-touristy Tuscan town, far from the beaten track, and find a culinary delight that will long linger in your heart as a perfect combination of exquisite, exquisitely prepared dishes, exquisite wines (we had a bottle of Viogner from Cortona—it was wonderful!), a captivating and refined interior, and competent, friendly, and discreet service? Yes! Cavriglia has such a gem, and it's called Papposileno! We stumbled upon it by chance and left enchanted. We sampled the five-course tasting menu and were saddened that this extraordinary culinary journey was over. Even though it lasted, leisurely, for over two hours... The menu changes daily, depending on what delicious dishes chef Ada D'Amato managed to find, and her daughter, who serves guests, expertly explains the intricacies of flavors and textures. This isn't a place you'd want to drop in for a quick, hearty, inexpensive dinner with your kids, who mostly eat fries or chicken nuggets. Such customers are in for a disappointment. But if you're looking for a place to spend an unforgettable time with someone important to you, it's worth giving Papposileno a try. I haven't had such delicious food in a long time, and if it ever comes to Cavriglia again, I'll definitely be back!

17/08/2025: My favorite restaurant in Italy! Whenever we visit my family, my husband and I treat ourselves in this hidden gem. Eating at Papposileno is not only a beautiful dinner but a real culinary experience. Every time, a beautiful journey through different tastes. I warmly recommend the tasting menu for a perfect experience. The service is the finest, taking you into the journey with great recommendations for wine pairing and explanation about the ingredients. Beautiful and cozy locations, with high attention to details. A must do, if you visit Cavriglia and surroundings. Thanks so much for another great evening !

16/09/2025: Atypical restaurant with stunning decor. The owner and the owner, the only ones serving, are very helpful. The food is excellent. Not much choice. The wine is chosen by the owner, who has very good taste. Boxes of bottles are stacked in the restaurant. Really good value for money. Inexpensive restaurant with good food.

30/08/2025: My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant four times, and each dinner was exceptional. We were recommended by the owner of the cottage we rented near Montevarchi, and we were so glad we took his advice. This place is mostly frequented by locals, so it’s not a tourist trap, which makes it even more special. I highly recommend making a reservation at least one day in advance. The restaurant opens at 19.30, and I believe it stays open until the last guest leaves. Every dish we tried was delicious and fresh. I suggest simply trusting Daniele; he will bring dishes based on his own taste, and believe me, you will be very pleased. My personal favorites were the truffle ravioli and the carpaccio. I also want to highlight Daniele’s assistant, such a lovely and pleasant elderly lady. You can tell how much love and effort has gone into this place. The price is only 30 euros per person, which is quite reasonable for such an amazing experience

11/09/2025: Super authentic cuisine, charming staff, simply delicious. We were looking for something for dinner at 9 p.m. and absolutely found it here. The food is incredibly delicious, and even at this time of night, we received quick and courteous service. We'd love to go back!

09/08/2025: Very friendly little pizzeria. Good value for money. The pizzas are very good and well-filled. You can order just slices or pizzas with different halves. Please note: they're on vacation until August 27th...

19/09/2025: Fun, friendly, best food ever, even better wine! What a lovely group, really nice friendly and welcoming staff. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

17/09/2025: Tourist trap. You won't find a single Italian here. Don't rely on the Michelin rating. We know the area and the cuisine well, and almost always experience the delicious food and warm hospitality in restaurants in this area. Not here. The host is an annoying, pushy man. He makes tasteless jokes, unnecessarily touches sensitive areas, and is incredibly loud and self-absorbed. The other waitresses are friendly but also visibly uncomfortable. He constantly pressures you to order dishes and drinks you haven't asked for, even after politely refusing several times. Ten minutes later, he starts the same game again. Then the price. I wonder how long ago the Michelin rating for price/quality was issued. It's outdated. The food is far too expensive for what you get. It's not bad, but far from exceptional. Finally, an incomprehensible bill is deliberately presented. There have been several reports of this. The actual receipt is only given after payment. Walking back to the car we realized the sneaky extra costs.
