19/10/2025: The restaurant has been tastefully renovated (I'd just remove the colorful fake orchids, which are truly outdated), and the staff is very friendly and helpful (we especially appreciated sommelier Ramon's approach). The menu consists of three tasting menus and many other à la carte dishes. Unfortunately, the most appealing menu wasn't available. Everything was truly excellent and beautifully presented. Perhaps I'd add a few more "weird and sophisticated" dishes to the menu, if I really had to find a small negative. We'll definitely be back!

06/12/2025: It's a traditional, somewhat fancy place to have lunch or dinner. We arrived around 2:00 PM, but it was crowded. Had an excellent Bolognese, but the service was really slow, so we waited a long time to get our first courses—very interesting lagasania. The wine was great!

The raw materials are of the highest quality. Generous portions. Homemade cured meats and fresh pasta complement the delicious dishes. Truly excellent! The quality/price ratio is in line with the food and drink, and is consistent with the level of these high-end establishments (that's how I define them). We're also just minutes from Mugello. 27/09/2025: We had dinner at La Pecora Nera twice in a row because the menu showed too many good things to be able to try them in one session. The tagliolini al tartufo were amazing, as well as the ossobuco: super tender and tasty. The second day we had Paccheri with red shrimps, Anatra all’arancia (Duck) and octopus, all delicious. Hands down to the service as well, everyone has been super friendly both times we came, this place is definitely a staple destination whenever we are back in Montecatini again!!!

24/08/2025: We decide to treat ourselves to one last restaurant before returning from summer vacation. We can't go wrong; we have to end on a high note! Tomorrow we'll be in the Varallo area, and after carefully poring over the reviews of various restaurants, we narrow our focus to Hostaria di Bricai. We've booked! We find a parking spot two minutes away, and later we'll understand why. The restaurant is practically inside a beautiful park. We're greeted by the owner, who's quite busy with other tables. She makes us wait about five minutes, then shows us to our table. We already have a pretty clear idea of ​​the dishes, but some off-menu items catch my attention, including the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms. I ask for truffle, but it's flatly rejected, even with a few dirty looks. We start with the entree, which we consider to be excessively minimal, so much so that we can't fully savor its essence. Just a little more in quantity wouldn't hurt at all. The rest, as you can see from the photos, is highly commensurate with quality dishes, well-made and beautifully presented. The bill, too, is absolutely in line with the products and quality offered. There's a wide selection of wines, not exactly cheap, but if you don't opt ​​for glasses, for which the selection is limited, you can always buy a bottle and take it home if you don't finish it. Finally, I feel compelled to contradict the reviews that claim they paid a lot and left hungry! Believe me, if you're in the area, it's worth trying their cuisine. I'd definitely go back!

30/07/2025: As a French guy, i have to say that the foie gras was one of the best i’ve ever tasted. I recommand this restaurant with a beautiful view and atmosphere, definitely will come back !

08/09/2025: I stayed for a weekend at Agriturismo Capuccina. It's a magnificent place, with beautiful rooms and extremely welcoming staff. The restaurant is fantastic, with excellent cuisine and products grown on site. Highly recommended.

25/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant today, a truly wonderful experience! The location is beautiful, in a small square overlooking the lake. We were seated on the outdoor veranda with a magnificent view of the lake. The staff was professional and helpful. They also have specials for small children. The food was superb! We each had an appetizer, a first course, and a dessert, and we were extremely satisfied!

The superlative quality of the food, the excellent service, the welcoming atmosphere, and the refined atmosphere are totally captivating... What can I say?
