30/09/2025: In the heart of the Riviera Berica, we decided to give La Sosta a second chance, a place that had previously left us a bit skeptical during an aperitivo. This time, we chose to try some of the cicchetti offered, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to our expectations. Of the eight cicchetti options—if I remember correctly—we chose three: an arancino with cacio, pepe, and gin, a "pessetto" (paranza in saor), and a crostini with creamed cod and caramelized red onion. To accompany our dishes, we opted for an Aperol Spritz and a Pinot Bianco. However, the service was slow and lacking in information, particularly regarding the wines. The menu lacked any details regarding the wine list, and the words "ask the host for wines." More attentiveness from the staff, with a description of the cellar and available wines, would certainly have been appreciated. As for the cicchetti, the disappointment was palpable. The crostini with creamed cod, served on bread that looked like rye, was tasteless. The caramelized red onion was overly sweet and overpowered the flavor of the cod. The same could be said for the bread, which was overly flavorful (there must be a reason why white polenta is typically served with creamed cod). The arancino, which was supposed to combine the flavors of cheese, pepper, and gin, lacked character, resulting in a simple arancino without any distinctive flavor. The "pessetto" was overly sugary, which destroyed any possible balance of flavors. The final bill of €18.00 does not at all justify the quality of the dishes served. We cannot recommend this restaurant, which failed to offer an interesting offering, either in terms of food or service. There are certainly other options in the area that can offer a more satisfying experience.

15/09/2025: Il Vinocolo never disappoints. A welcoming atmosphere, excellent wines, and if you ask Johnny for a platter, an aperitivo can easily transform into an excellent aperitif. It remains undoubtedly a local favorite for those seeking quality and flavor.

18/12/2025: I've been going there since I was little, mainly take-out... Montanara pizza from my childhood, I'm fond of it, 8/10 I took that one, the others I have a hard time judging but I'm optimistic in believing that practically all of them are good, what can I say about the 80s style decor, it hasn't changed a bit (said by my dad who was literally born in Costabissara 63 years ago) waiters in general are average, they don't smile that's for sure apart from one historic waitress in particular who is always cheerful and kind, the rest are pretty pissed off faces especially regarding the son behind the counter who "welcomes customers who take-out" having said that, maybe it's because I'm fond of it and I can't be too mean but surely there are plenty of much better ones, I'll always have a good memory but after tonight they make me pay for baby pizzas (actually taken normal but served baby) at full price because they are pulling the last shots before closing, no way... having said that, thanks for everything always in my heart but Goodbye.

11/12/2025: An exceptional caponata. Delicious pizza and very good seafood spaghetti. Very friendly and fast service. It was recommended to us because we weren't sure where else to go, and we were very pleased. I highly recommend it if you go to Syracuse.

04/01/2026: Classic family-run trattoria Two lunch sittings at 12 and 1:30 PM Endless wait times due to poor organization: 45/60 minutes. Good food, well-made, just like at home. A limited menu with classic dishes: Bigoli, gnocchi, four sauces, steak, melted cheese, polenta, and the only new addition: rabbit. Three side dishes: potatoes, salad, and cooked vegetables. Nothing special or typical. No rice, mushrooms, dumplings, or venison. The family staff is friendly, but slow and poorly organized. It's okay: no luxuries, fine if you're with family and want a reasonable lunch, spending a fair amount, and you're on vacation.
