05/11/2025: We stayed at Villa Mocenigo for All Saints' Day with friends, to visit Venice and the surrounding area. The exterior was a bit neglected, especially during the off-season. The room was nice, but the essentials were a bit small, and the bathroom was large and well-equipped. Breakfast was a bit sparse; the products (jams, toast, yogurt, and butter) were all supermarket-quality, not very salty. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I think it would be fine for a few days; good value.

23/10/2025: Right in front of Venice. Clean toilets, a great place to have a good coffee, a slice of pizza or a sandwich and relax a bit. The staff is also very friendly.

20/11/2025: Great service and food. Very nice and fair reception. We had our very best stay.

13/11/2025: Overpriced guesthouse with no elevator and a broken phone the whole time! The bathroom with bidet was new and a decent size, but the rest of the furniture is very old, although the mattress was good. The guesthouse is very centrally located (Zaccaria boat station), and Andrea, one of the receptionists, is very friendly and helpful! Breakfast is served in the same dining room, but unfortunately, there's no variety. After four days, we would have liked a different cheese or ham, but "that's just how it is"! The service staff are also not great and seem to be working without much interest. We definitely won't be coming back!

03/09/2025: Very kind and super friendly staff, but the pizza is microscopic, then I ordered a speck and brie, the speck was cut so thick that I doubted I had ordered a Florentine and brie, and you couldn't even smell the brie because of how much they had put in, in the whole pizza I found 3/4 little pieces of brie and they were so small that at times I had trouble noticing them

30/07/2025: Excelente comida, preço honesto e a porção generosa! Melhor refeição que fizemos em Veneza em 4 dias de visita a cidade! Sem dúvida indicaria para amigos! A massa deliciosa, os mussels tb! Pedimos salada e carnes e tb estava maravilhoso! Atendimento de primeira!

24/07/2025: Hemos comido muy bien, el camarero que nos atendió ha sido muy amable, incluso hablábamos español, la comida estaba muy buena , se nota que es casera, hay gente de la ciudad comiendo aquí, por eso entramos y acertamos. Lo recomiendo mucho. Muy buen precio, por cierto.

06/12/2025: The ice cream was tasteless. The pistachio ice cream was pale in color, and the pistachio pieces tasted like old, stale ones sold by weight at the supermarket. I don't recommend it.

02/12/2025: I stopped by this ice cream shop with a friend of mine and it really surprised us! The place is cute and the staff is very friendly. I tried the vegan Cookies flavor and fell in love with it—it's so good it doesn't even taste vegan!

26/10/2025: Excellent pizza and calzone. We had dinner on a Saturday and ordered a pizza and a calzone to eat in. Great service and very tasty food.

12/09/2025: The owner is very kind. The food is good and the ingredients are fresh, and the toasted sandwiches are delicious and well-filled. Also recommended for lunch.

23/09/2025: After a long day of exploring Venice we had dinner at L’Osteria San Barnaba. We arrived late for our reservation, but the staff welcomed us warmly and never rushed us. I ordered the cuttlefish ink pasta, and it was extraordinary. The sauce clung to the noodles like velvet, rich and briny with the taste of the sea, faintly metallic in the best way. It even stained my tongue and fingers as I used bread to wipe up the last drops. My wife chose the homemade gnocchi in spider crab sauce, pillowy-soft dumplings bathed in a silky, flavorful sauce that she called some of the best gnocchi she’s ever had. We were there late into the night with glasses of Fratelli Brunello grappa, comparing tasting notes and enjoying the staff’s patience with my horrible Italian. Our server even smiled through my slow, deliberate attempt at a full sentence, encouraging me as if to say, “You’ve got this.” We laughed and made friends with a French couple at the next table, clinked glasses, and ended the night with a shared toast of limoncello. L’Osteria San Barnaba is the kind of place where food, wine, and warmth all come together. From the extraordinary pasta to the genuine hospitality, it’s a dinner we’ll be talking about for years.

22/09/2025: Very cosy, not too big, excellent vibes. Outside of mega tourist territory, but it's small enough that it doesn't feel touristy either way. Very coeliac friendly with very understanding staff. Gluten free pizza was decent by Italian standards and the best you've ever had by UK standards. Very affordable, good Aperol. Normal pizza was decent.

01/09/2025: Cozy restaurant. The tuna steak was amazing, the spaghetti with clams was very forgettable, especially since two-thirds of the clams were not open. It is very expensive for what it is.

01/11/2025: A family dinner last night with pizza. Delicious, light pizza. It was hard to choose given the number of pizzas offered. We ended up with Trevigiana, vegetable pizza, capricciosa, and buffalo mozzarella. Everything was good, and the staff was friendly.

14/09/2025: Quiet and friendly restaurant. The pizza was delicious, the service was nice. Not expensive.

30/08/2025: A very pleasant and interesting experience at a farmhouse with an entirely vegetarian menu. The owner, Gianpietro, is very friendly and chatty, and the atmosphere is easily convivial. It's a shame it was a rainy day, otherwise we would have even gone for a swim in the bio-lake. We started with a house aperitif and a pata-snack. We then opted for the starter menu, consisting of four appetizers to share, plus a first course and a dessert, with a bottle of Raboso and still water. Price: €78. We'll be happy to return.

25/08/2025: I discovered this place by chance, and I assure you, it's heaven! Excellent lunch followed by sunbathing on a lounge chair surrounded by greenery and a dip in the bio-pond... To round out a wonderful day, the owners were incredibly kind and friendly. Try it and believe it! ♥️

08/10/2025: We had dinner in this half empty hotel restaurant the first Friday of October 2025. The Gaspacho was tasteless, the spaghetti al dentissimo with the accompanying little shrimps being raw, and the fritto misto di mare severely overfritted with rubberlike consistency of the calamari. Even the espresso did not taste like Italian espresso. The beautiful view from our table over the lagoon explains our second star. What a deception!
