02/09/2025: Very tasty, large selection, including vegan options. Prices are okay, cheaper than elsewhere. Crêpe is very good. I paid €4 for Nutella elsewhere, but €5.

21/08/2025: Super delicious, and even gluten-free cones/waffles (for an extra charge). The best salted caramel ice cream I've ever had.

06/11/2025: A cozy little Osteria Veneziana-style restaurant. The menu offers a few classic Venetian dishes, but it's complete. I tried a few dishes: the cod was good, but the lagoon fried fish was delicate. I had some doubts about the San Piero, which was beautiful in its presentation but lacked enthusiasm for the fish's flavor. Good wine selection, and the service was neither excellent nor laudable.

The food is truly delicious: carefully prepared dishes, fresh ingredients, and authentic flavors that are evident from the first bite. Each course is carefully prepared and served quickly, a sign of perfect organization in the kitchen. The dining room staff truly deserves a special mention: kind, professional, and always smiling waiters, capable of putting every customer at ease. It's rare to find such attentive yet spontaneous service. The bill is also honest and transparent, in line with the quality offered. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and meticulously maintained, perfect for both a dinner with friends and a relaxed lunch. A place you'll always want to return to — La Tortuga is synonymous with quality, courtesy, and authentic flavor! 🍝🍤🍷

03/10/2025: Huge price for no reason!!!! Two coffees and dessert €9.30, they promised to ask! It's not even in season and the cake wasn't Grand, which is not big!! They probably thought we were tourists, but this goes to the consumer association, there are limits to everything!!!!

12/10/2025: This restaurant is part of the Hyatt Centric Hotel and serves excellent food - mainly seafood. Our waitress was very nice and helpful and made us feel welcome and appreciated. We would return despite the high price tag.

03/09/2025: Very kind and super friendly staff, but the pizza is microscopic, then I ordered a speck and brie, the speck was cut so thick that I doubted I had ordered a Florentine and brie, and you couldn't even smell the brie because of how much they had put in, in the whole pizza I found 3/4 little pieces of brie and they were so small that at times I had trouble noticing them

01/11/2025: REALLY RUDE AND TOURIST UNWELCOME! I’m not sure if the lady owner or waitress was being racist, but from the moment we walked in, she completely ignored us. We stood in the middle of the restaurant for quite a while — even the other diners noticed and tried to help us. When we finally got a table and were ready to order, she still refused to acknowledge us and told us to wait. What made it worse was that she was very warm and friendly toward the local customers, smiling and serving them promptly. But every time we tried to order, she looked annoyed and told us to wait again. We came to the restaurant to enjoy a meal, not to be treated poorly. Her behavior was extremely rude and disrespectful!

26/10/2025: Excellent pizza and calzone. We had dinner on a Saturday and ordered a pizza and a calzone to eat in. Great service and very tasty food.

12/09/2025: The owner is very kind. The food is good and the ingredients are fresh, and the toasted sandwiches are delicious and well-filled. Also recommended for lunch.

If you follow my reviews, you'll notice that I don't give high marks to anyone, but this time I can't help but give 5 stars to everything because my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time, both for the high quality of the food and the service, everyone was very kind and very good! 23/09/2025: After a long day of exploring Venice we had dinner at L’Osteria San Barnaba. We arrived late for our reservation, but the staff welcomed us warmly and never rushed us. I ordered the cuttlefish ink pasta, and it was extraordinary. The sauce clung to the noodles like velvet, rich and briny with the taste of the sea, faintly metallic in the best way. It even stained my tongue and fingers as I used bread to wipe up the last drops. My wife chose the homemade gnocchi in spider crab sauce, pillowy-soft dumplings bathed in a silky, flavorful sauce that she called some of the best gnocchi she’s ever had. We were there late into the night with glasses of Fratelli Brunello grappa, comparing tasting notes and enjoying the staff’s patience with my horrible Italian. Our server even smiled through my slow, deliberate attempt at a full sentence, encouraging me as if to say, “You’ve got this.” We laughed and made friends with a French couple at the next table, clinked glasses, and ended the night with a shared toast of limoncello. L’Osteria San Barnaba is the kind of place where food, wine, and warmth all come together. From the extraordinary pasta to the genuine hospitality, it’s a dinner we’ll be talking about for years.

22/09/2025: Very cosy, not too big, excellent vibes. Outside of mega tourist territory, but it's small enough that it doesn't feel touristy either way. Very coeliac friendly with very understanding staff. Gluten free pizza was decent by Italian standards and the best you've ever had by UK standards. Very affordable, good Aperol. Normal pizza was decent.
