30/06/2025: I share an experience from a perhaps anomalous point of view. Late summer afternoon, hot. We sit down for a quick aperitif. A girl arrives and I ask her for advice on a non-alcoholic aperitif since, unfortunately, I am teetotal. Instead of shaking her head in resignation for not having ordered the usual spritz version A or B, a boring and absolute must in Veneto, she suggests some simple fruity alternatives. I assure you that the experience of the non-alcoholic aperitif in Veneto is still mysterious and little known. But hearing that even the differences can be welcomed is priceless. Next step: non-alcoholic cocktails to be created ad hoc.

15/03/2025: I had made a call before arriving, briefly asking what specials they had for the day. I was told the man was already working and, in short, he didn't have time. I showed up anyway; I was just passing through, and the welcome was almost nonexistent. We sat down, and they brought us the menu. There was the option of a set menu with a first course, a second course, and a vegetable side dish for €20, not including drinks. No, since we have a baby, we had a first course of gnocchi with meat sauce, which was decent—the gnocchi were very soft. A second course of Venetian-style chicken livers, which was good, and spaghetti in bianco for the baby. They still charged us €10 for this dish, which I thought was excessive, considering they only cook them in water. A portion of fries, which, however, weren't cooked properly because they were all soft instead of crispy. A bottle of water was €4, for a total of €39. I don't think I'll be back. 24/08/2025: It's been a long time since I've written restaurant reviews because I've frequented places that were both unremarkable and unworthy of mention. Unfortunately, I'm forced to resume my work as a food critic today following a terrible dinner at the Oca Bianca restaurant in Mirano, near Venice. Let's start by saying that the restaurant looks very nice, nestled in a beautiful garden that makes for a pleasant stay, especially in the summer. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and service aren't up to par with the location. Regarding service, I should point out that there are no paper menus, so if you find yourself with a dead smartphone, like I did, you'll have to hope the owner has tablets available for all the tables. Also, forget the elegance of well-set tables with white tablecloths; here, a decidedly more spartan style reigns supreme. I'll conclude my account of the quality of the service by saying that any additional requests made to the waiter in the dining room were never fulfilled; specifically, my friend and fellow diner is still waiting for the mayonnaise. As I've noted, the service isn't exactly the highlight of this restaurant, but for me, this issue would be decidedly negligible if the food served were of high quality, unfortunately, it isn't. The fried fish my friend ordered was mediocre, while the grilled beef tenderloin I ordered was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside, even though I'd asked for it to be medium rare. I should also add that the meat was very salty, probably to hide the poor preservation; in fact, after a few hours, I started having some intestinal problems. Finally, I absolutely don't want to forget the caponata I ordered as a side dish, which, for someone who knows Sicily like I do, could have been anything but a caponata. The only truly high-quality thing about this restaurant is the bill; I hope I can quickly forget this unfortunate experience.

20/08/2025: I'm giving it 2 stars for the outrageous and exploitative prices of the summer garden, which is open every Tuesday evening. €3 for water, €6 for a spritz, and €10 for a gin and lemon speak for themselves. A complete joke.

26/08/2025: A quiet pizzeria. The pizzas are good, as are the desserts. The extensive pizza menu is excellent, with a selection of desserts illustrated with pictures. It's a shame the desserts are a bit pricey. The pizzas, however, are very reasonably priced.

27/02/2025: Product as standard, acceptable and nothing more. On the other hand, very high prices, 18 euros for a double salami pizza and a portion of chips delivered 500m away, excessive.

12/08/2025: There were five of us: two adults and three children. We ordered an appetizer, main course, and dessert. The service was friendly and the food was good. Even though we ordered pizza and spaghetti, among other dishes, the main course arrived at roughly the same time.

10/08/2025: A very beautiful, well-kept, and welcoming place. We asked the staff for advice, and the selection was surprising: spider crab for an appetizer, soasa, cuttlefish, and crispy fried fish for a main course. Fresh, excellent-quality fish, and the final bill was also very reasonable. The waiters were excellent, friendly, and eager to please. We'll be back.
