17/10/2025: Great win and cicchetti. We only stayed for an aperitivo but the steak looked really good.

16/10/2025: Found this place through a local recommendation and decided to give it a try. I ordered the picanha without realizing the price was per 100g. The server insisted on a minimum of three portions, even though there were just two of us. To our surprise, the steak was served family-style, a massive 2kg platter of meat. At the end, I told our server “non male,” meaning “not bad,” and we left with full stomachs and just a bit of leftovers. Highly recommended!

27/10/2025: Trendy little bar with a great vibe and one of the best playlists we heard in Venice — a perfect mix of indie and rock tracks that kept the place alive. The signature cocktails had fun, tech-inspired names, though the flavors were just okay. Still, the atmosphere, friendly staff, and the fact that it stays open until around 2 a.m. when almost everywhere else is closed make it a spot worth remembering.

05/10/2025: our to go spot while staying in a nearby hotel. Really nice food for decent prices and friendly staff. Only issue would be the appetisers, the bread was sometimes stale, but the actual food itself was always great

04/10/2025: 1 first course, 1 second course, 1 pizza. 3 different dishes served at the same time, allowing everyone to eat together, and the food was well-organized. Excellent quality. Abundant portions. Attentive, friendly, and young staff (professional!) PRICES BELOW AVERAGE. A FAIRY TALE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

12/10/2025: Excellent location in the center of Burano, excellent service, and even better risotto al go!! If I may offer a suggestion, a place of this caliber could offer its guests a small appetizer while they wait.

11/10/2025: Disappointing overall, overpriced, touristy and service was lacking. The risotto we had been looking forward to was nothing special. We had better risotto in Spot Croatia.

17/11/2025: Located in the heart of town, this restaurant offers American-style fare, focusing on sandwiches and meat, with seafood variations as well. Spread across two floors, it can accommodate large groups while maintaining an acceptable level of noise that still allows for socializing. Service is quick and efficient, with no major glitches or omissions. The food is good, definitely tempting, and provides a great backdrop for a quiet dinner with friends.

06/11/2025: We’d love to recommend Il Tavernino restaurant when in Sottomarina, Chioggia! We went for lunch couple of weeks ago and we were treated so very well! From the moment we opened the front door to the moment we said grazie, arrivederci. We were welcomed very, very warmly and serviced the entire time with big attention and professionalism — something you won’t see so often around Italy unless you’re in a Michelin stars restaurant. The food was amazing — clean and beautiful utensils and plates, loved the fabric of the tablecloths and napkins, pretty glasses, beautifully arranged food, and oh my so delicious! As a person that doesn’t like coffee, that day I had a bad headache so I ordered one, and I must say I loved it! Very tasty! Oh! And how about the deserts! Please, order at least one! Just one little something to the chef — you have a beautiful smile! Do wear it more often ☺️🥂💕 Thank you il Tavernino staff! You are incredible! We’ll for sure be visiting you again when in the area!

03/10/2025: Top restaurant in Bibione. Very friendly and attentive service, extra-large portions, everything delicious. A free shot of schnapps was offered at the end of the meal. The prices were low, especially compared to the service and other restaurants. There was a bit of a wait in the evening, as with all good restaurants in Bibione.

08/10/2025: All in all, good food with good service. Reasonable service in a suitable setting. The price range could be better, but if you can afford it, go for it.

20/09/2025: Ristorante Duilio in Caorle, Italy, has a wonderful ambiance with very friendly staff. The food was tasty and affordable, with everything perfect except for the octopus. We will definitely be coming back!

02/11/2025: There is very little left of "authentic" Venice. Mass tourism, cruise ships, an aging and declining resident population and "Airbnb neighborhoods" where short term rentals replace actual residents, have made extinct centuries of Venetian cultural heritage. There are a few working class areas where families with hundreds of years of history still reside. These areas are where the families of the trash boat operators, the vaporetto drivers and maintenance staff, and other blue collar folks live. One corner like this is near the Arsenale where a humble gathering place, Osteria A La Scuela is located.. Those looking for typical table service, a big menu to choose from, or would find a microwave oven a horror, should stay away. Those who want to mingle with some locals, eat what they have to offer and drink generous pours of wine for 4 Euros a glass, will be rewarded. On a rainy night in November, newly arrived, tired and hungry us, found the plates they brought out and the suggested wine a perfect welcome.
