10/06/2026: I ordered a McFlurry for a hefty €3.90, a price that for a fast-food ice cream should at least guarantee a decent portion. The cup arrived literally half-filled—or, I'd say not even half. An embarrassing amount and completely disproportionate to the price paid. I understand the savings, but this is a rip-off. It's definitely not worth it, highly discouraged.

20/06/2025: We stopped there on our way home. The owner immediately offered us a grape juice, then a bottle of house wine. All without mentioning a price. We ate for €26. A portion of pasta with mushrooms and a very small veal schnitzel with fries—probably not homemade. The food was okay, but at €50 it was completely overpriced. A shame. The owner was very nice. Nevertheless, we still think it's overpriced. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant.

26/09/2025: We had a club sandwich, lemon ice cream, two waters, a beer, and a Hugo. It wasn't anything special, but it was okay. The staff was friendly and efficient.

09/06/2026: Recommended when it's not busy. When we were there in the very early afternoon, it was fine. Hence the 3 stars and not just 2. In the evening, when the place was packed, both the quality and the service suffered. The food was an absolute flop in the evening, nothing more than mass-produced fare. Very disappointing, unfortunately.

09/12/2025: A very organized butcher shop, professionals, super quality meats, friendly staff, professionals and advice on all cuts of meat, then in each bag they write the name of each product, I recommend everyone to try it.

05/06/2026: We really enjoyed our stay. The service was very friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The quality was excellent and the atmosphere lovely. You can eat both indoors and outdoors. The wine selection is good.

17/05/2026: I'm a teacher passing through Bergamo for a supply job, and since I discovered this bar, I've been thrilled to have discovered this business, where courtesy, professionalism, and quality are Startup's hallmarks. I recommend it because the warm welcome makes you feel at home. Final rating: 30 with honors.

11/05/2026: Gone are the days when the Gritti served impeccable Martinis. Under intense pressure from the influx of tourists (identifiable by their sweaty polo shirts, sneakers, and sometimes louder voices), the (evidently unbalanced) staff is incredibly pressured between room and table orders. The result: a Martini at the bar with no water on the side (!), with a poor, frantic bartender in front of him who can't—or no longer wants to—have a chat, and—a venial sin for a grand hotel cocktail bar—made with Gordon's gin (!). Bacaro crisps and hazelnuts were served, but no one offered any side dishes. I'm not arguing with the price—personally, I don't even pay that much attention to the bars of grand hotels (of which I'm a huge fan)—but the service and mixology (at least the classics) aren't quite up to par, I'm sorry.
