Best dinner I had in Venice...very kind and courteous staff...excellent quality food and delightful atmosphere...it's clear that it's not your typical tourist trap restaurant!! It's worth coming to find it!! We'll definitely be back on our next visit! Well done 👍🏼

I was born and I live in Venice. Antica Besseta is my favorite restaurant in town and it is always an incredible experience. It is extremely difficult to find a spot like this in Venice nowadays: food quality, tradition, creativity and a cozy location create the magic recipe! Highly recommend and all my friends visiting are always mind blown.

The restaurant is pleasant and the food is generally very good, with a special mention for the fish, which was truly delicious. However, it remains quite expensive and feels a bit like a tourist trap: the value for money isn't the best, mainly due to the rather high cover charge. The fritto misto was decent, but quite basic. A good restaurant in terms of taste, but with a bill that's a bit steep considering the overall experience.

A very enjoyable culinary experience. Excellent food, attentive and professional service. The additional charge was rather high but reasonable considering Venetian standards.

Best restaurant of Venice! The people are extremely nice and they welcome you with a delicious aperó at the entrance. We showed up before our table was ready and they kindly offered us a prosecco with some starters. We ate octopus with pumpkin that was absolutely delicious, and daily fish with vegetables. The food was very high quality and perfectly balanced. Very good taste, nice atmosphere and kind service! If you are in venice, it’s a must!

04/01/2026: Went today, January 4, 2026, for lunch. We booked at 1:00 PM and were seated at 1:05 PM. So far, everything was fine. After 15 minutes, the menu was given, another 20 minutes later, the drinks order, and at 1:35 PM, we ordered food. 2 pizzas 1 slice of beef 1 fried fish 2 baked potatoes. A very long wait... The dishes arrive: - Perfect pizzas, hot and good. - Sliced ​​steak (more like a steak) very cold. - Fried fish hot and VERY good (but with a slice of cold polenta from the fridge). - 2 COLD baked potatoes. Otherwise, everything was fine. Prices are not low but acceptable. Absolutely poor service, except for the owner who kindly brought us drinks. I recommend training the girls and/or changing them. The place overall deserves better, and I want to return to see if there are any changes. I didn't complain to the owner so as not to cause a fuss since I was with my son and his girlfriend.
